I was a physical trainer for 20 years, dabbled in crossfit as well. That was definitely high intensity. Great to see you buried that one. Well done!!
Thanks so much!! 💗
I was a competitive bodybuilder for the better part of 10 years. CrossFit was never a term that we ever even discussed. It was always heavy weights and intense workouts. The old adage no pain no gain applied. The end result for me, is injuries that I continue to deal with. Weight lifters and body builders are a stubborn lot, bordering on a Neanderthal mindset 😂
young lady, you are a workout animal (that is a good thing). Those deadlifts sure do pound your lats and traps, and it shows. Thankyou for being such an excellent example of a great workout ethic and what amazing potential a woman can reach by hard work and perseverance.
You never seem to amaze me. That was amazing. I had 32 years in the military and a lot of guys would have struggled to keep up with you. Well done. X
"Cease" not "seem" I'm sure you meant??? Hah!
Predict 7 rounds?!?
Outstanding output!!!
Nice form to prevent injury!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you!! ❤️
8+ completed, 😎
Very impressed 🏆
Much respect 🫡
Pushing yourself at your limit is something very unique, great thing to do from time to time
Beast Mode! Great effort pushing through. You’re killing it.
this actually inspiring reaching out to crossfit to expand your athleticism
Crossfit is very cult like. Plus their form on some excercises is horrendous and just asking for BAD possibly permanent injuries. Crossfitters are certainly fit but there is a HUGE amount of PED drug abuse too (blatant too looking at the builds on some of the men AND women!)
The one time I tried CrossFit I was doing the military presses as many as I can do and I have had shoulder issues ever since. It was like 10 years ago. Now I do physical therapy on my shoulders.
This is the problem, I think it’s such a great sport but also high risk. I ultimately prefer strength training in the gym with controlled sets of reps for this reason but I do like to dabble (with care!) in CrossFit. Hope you sort your shoulder issues🤞🏼
You're in great shape that is a lot of reps!
😅😅
Wow! You’re amazing, Lauren! I did the scaled version of 24.2 as can’t do so many DUs in one go and still was nowhere near the number of reps you did! Very strong 💪🏼🌟
Ahh thank you!! Defo played into my strengths that workout 😅🙌🏼 well done for tackling it, even scaled! 👊🏼
Killing it!!! ❤
The Rower is a NO JOKE intense cardio event. Good stuff 👏🏻Young Lady! 🍻🙌🏻🍻
Off on a tangent: the upholstery in the car is very nice.
🤣💗
Good insight about how ego can really work against you when working out. It’s so easy for us to push ourselves beyond what is good for us and beyond what our body is telling us. Ego is the culprit. Thank you for the insight.
It's nice to see your smiling after that workout!😅
Eventually 😅
Well done Lauren. You are awesome and gave it everything 👍👍
You go Lauren,you got it!!!!!!!
Thank youu 😀💗
8 rounds
Edit: Daamnnn Lauren!! Levitation is a thing 😱😳😜 absolutely slayed it!
Haha thank youuu! 🫶🏼
Back is shredded when finished.
I’m 63 and got only 462 reps on 24.2 RX and very true CrossFit is brutal! I myself started back in 2012 and since then it’s injury after injury, in my case mostly shoulders 😢
But I can’t stay away from it though 😊
Congratulations you did super good 🎉
Great job Lauren!
Impressive
Let's fkn GOOO!!!!! That's awesome you did the workout. Great job. I did 330 but don't have consistent dubs. Ended up double single double just to get through them smh. It's very cool to see you involved in other things. Especially CrossFit!! 😂
Ahh thank you so much!! I think most people were in the same boat as you. Get working on those dubs 👊🏼🤪
I just start crossfit and the first WODs have DU, unfortunattely I never do jumping rope before in my life 😅
I just buy a rope and your video help me a lot to start and practice… Many thanks from 🇫🇷
I'm a rower since decades but I know the concept2 erg will kill you but we rowers love this challenge
I reckon you could teach me a thing or two on the rower! Not my forte 🥵
@@LaurenJumps I’d never normally offer advice, but as you said another rower might be able to offer some tips... When returning back from the stroke, first get your arms straight (away from your chest), and pivot your body forwards from the hips, so your hands are further forwards than your knees, BEFORE bending your knees, this will ensure your posture is correct and your hands and knees don’t make contact. Appreciate you might just have been too shattered to do that! Fascinating channel, your dedication is incredible.
4:24 You’re literally levitating 😮😮
😂😂
Continue ce que tu fais, je suis français, et je montre tes vidéos, à m'a fille qui a 11ans,
Je te trouve très courageuse.
predicted 5 rounds. I keep underestimating you. Good job!
Thank you!! 🙏🏼
Its all in the Legs!!!!
Eres una persona súper especial te felicito mucho, y desde España te mando un abrazo campeona 🤗 💚
Thank you 😊
@@LaurenJumps buenas noches y sigues as, un cordial abrazo 🤗 😘 😊 😉
Rock On !
Just fantastic
"why am i always late" mood
You are amazing ❤
Dang muscle girl
Yes, I was shocked 😂!!! She has strong muscles!
Loved this video, great score. I only got 5+37. I tense up and basically hold my breath doing dubs, which is obviously not great in a 20 min workout.
WOW! Your commitment to fitness and health shows. Awesome count! Predicted 9 thinking that was a stretch, you were close though, Awesome! How did you feel the next day?
UR a superstar 🎉❤
Awesome!!
I’m going to guess 5 rounds.
Wow, 8 completed rounds is impressive!!!
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Lauren, I just noticed on the BBC website, a feature called Just One Thing with Michael Mosley. How skipping can improve muscle power.
Just thought I'd pass that on to you.
Machine!!
I've been watching you for a long time
Laureeen 😃
Damn girl! Such a rock star! 👏👏👏😍
Rowing is very cardio-intense. Tougher than it looks.
BThe et her hubby never got his Sunday lunch after that … she’s brilliant
Nice work so strong!
Two rounds!
Great job 💪🏻 💪🏻 💪🏻 💪🏻
That's amazing 😍🤩
your old man must be so so proud of you watching that
Oh wow, something new, 😮, so dope,
👏👏👏
Why did you choose a cross-fit workout and not a standard weight training workout?
Is that good for the heart? You rocked it
Not sure 😂 thank you 🙏🏼😊
Sure is, so long as you have no underlying health issues, pushing your heart rate high for a relatively short period of time like that is good for increasing your VO2 max, improving heart structure and cardiovascular function.
WARRIOR !!
When you jump rope how long do you usually jump and rest. Also congrats on the CrossFit.
I don’t actually time myself, I just choreo my routines and attempt to get them down. I rest when I need to 😊 thank you! 💗
Well done 👌
Nice workout video overall.
I go to the gym using conventional weights. There are a few, actually the gym manager is one, that CrossFit trains…. Whole different level-EXTREMES
Amazing!!!! ❤
Was that your sister at the gym? Great work and inspireing as alwas!
well done super fly! Now you can challenge super boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr jump the rope routines !!!
Another Wow Wonder Women moment. Well done. 736 reps in 20 minutes = 36.8 per minute. Awesome. I know you are very busy but.
I get the impression you are not that competitive as you would like to be. Although crossfit is competitive against the clock and heavy going and a little mundane. It does not challenge you in the right way. Because you are not learning, adapting
I would suggest you try martial art like Tae Kwon Do, which works the whole body with extra emphasis on leg and aerial work. Check out some demo videos online.
With your current fitness you will likely zip through the early gradings quiet easily. As you progress the challenges and training get harder. Similar to like when you are working on a new skip rope routine. You have to work at it to get it right for the next grading.
Personally learning a martial art, I feel this is better than going to the gym. As you learn respect, discipline, overcoming challenges, confidence, your overall health and fitness improves, you are learning a new skill. That may come in useful when needed. And if need be earn an income by setting up your own dojo as you will have the skills, discipline and back up from governing body to do so, if you wish.
Whereas at the gym, it is just your fitness or big muscles if that is your fancy.
Typically a grading is, Basic moves, Patterns (Katas), Set sparring and Freestyle sparring (with a partner, you won't who until you are matched up). All part of one grading. You need to pass everything to move up a grade. Learning new more technically advanced skills building on the previous ones. becomes, as you practice new skills in the dojo as you progress.
If body conditioning is what you are after. Then Kyokushinkai Karate is the best for that, but the sparring can brutal. Muay Thai too has a lot of body conditioning too. Watch videos of these and others.
Before you decide visit a few local clubs ask any questions. Watch some demo videos online and take it from there.
WONDER WOMAN IN THE MAKING WORK IN PROGRESS.
I hope these snippets of info helps.
Good luck and have some fun.
Look at Lauren get Biggggggg!!! lololol! You go girl!! Watch your jump height get higher girl!!
Haha the slower your doubles get the higher your jumps get - not a good thing really 😉 but inevitable as you rack up the rounds!!
You look fit as it is , you got great Abbs and leg muscles. ❤
What if I want to do it at home? How I can replace the row machine
Lauren, how much are you deadlifting in this? Just started deadlifting myself, and was just curious.
EDIT: nvm, saw you were deadlifting 56kg at the end...which I believe is about 124lbs. Impressive nonetheless.
Thank you! Yes - this would actually be light for me in isolation but in a workout like this, that weight becomes more challenging
@@LaurenJumps I figured you could do more than that by itself. Been doing deadlifts myself for about a month, and haven't really tried to find out what my max is. Currently doing 3 set of 6 reps each at 105 lbs (up from 95 lbs). Did 115 once when I first started, but pretty sure I could do more on a single lift..... 125 or maybe 135. Current goal is to do 175 because I weigh just below that.
@@Vitaee13 that’s awesome progress! Keep going, you’ll get there 👊🏼😊
@@LaurenJumps At some point.... just a matter of when.

10 rounds
Thank you for the confidence 😁🙏🏼
If you lose a skipping section to any of those juice head turkeys, you can never show your face again 😂.
Am I the only one absolutely overwhelmed by the speeding of the driver?
Looks like he is going 200 km/h in a city.
Where’s the city? 😆 majority of this journey is A1M between St Albans-WGC which is 70mph speed limit
Yes you are the only one 😂
WOW Lauren your like the bionic women remember but more gorgeous super fit
Crossfit is the perfectly good way to ef up perfectly good lifts. I like watching your vids and I respect what you've done.... but if you really want to keep your body.... keep to you your current routine. Crossfit is more about cheating to get maximum reps.... and the lifts are dangerous because of the cheating to get more.... You're awesome.... do your thing :-)
it can be a good idea to be a little careful doing heavy deadlifts if you don't usually do them, back injuries are not fun and can last a long time. Not really a lift you need to do for general fitness, unless you really want to.
56kg is not a heavy deadlift for me and form is correct. Deadlifts are a great full body movement when done correctly. Personally, I choose more isolated movements (eg RDLs) for my strength training routine which includes sessions split between upper and lower but would do deadlifts more if I had time to fit them in and perhaps did a full body session on top of my current split
by all means, if you are interested in weight lifting it's a great sport. You are at the top of the game in cardio fitness, and you probably have a great future ahead of you on television, magazines, book publishing maybe, who knows what. But you're not a weight lifter. It's a different sport. The people who excel at dead lifts are short and built like fire hydrants, and that's not you. It pays to be careful not to hurt your back doing dead lifts, because of all the lifts that you might get injured from, that's the one that's most likely to cause an injury, and it would likely be a back injury. And you don't need that. Once upon a time I was in a weight lifting club, just recreational level, and I am not qualified to comment on whether you're doing your dead lifts right, but it looked to me like you're lifting with all back and almost no legs - and that is a recipe for a back injury, that's what a lot of people would say. Maybe you like weight lifting, it is fun. Just like surgeons are very careful not to injure their hands, be careful not to injure your back. Because if you do, you'll wish you had not. You need to be heading toward television, you literally could be the next Richard Simmons - not toward rehabilitation for a back injury. anyway - happy jump roping !
Google image search “long femur deadlift” and look at the first images. Any more bend in my knees and the bar would hit my shins on the way up - my shins stay perpendicular to the ground throughout. You are in no position to write a patronising essay like this - as you say you were only ever “just recreational level” yourself. I am no professional weight lifter and I’ve never claimed to be but I know about form and how to stay safe when lifting, as I have done for 10 years.
“A great future ahead on televisions, magazines, book publishing” 🤣 I’m really sorry this video gave you nothing but the desire to mansplain so hard. Hopefully you’ll find your confidence one day
and since you were so forthcoming with your commentary to the effect I should try to gain some confidence, well I have taken your kind words to heart - and with my new-found confidence I'll tell you what your basic problems are, preventing you from becoming "someone" in the world of entertainment/fitness. Fundamentally you're boring. Which is your own fault because you make no effort to be entertaining, and your act is mechanistic and robot-like. You also sound like a cab driver when you talk, especially that unfortunate mannerism you have - talking out of the corner of your mouth.
Wow, you’re even more triggered than I first realised 🤭 let’s be real, you wouldn’t be saying all this to someone you thought was a nobody on the internet would you? You wouldn’t even be here, hanging out in the comments section 😆 deeply sorry I’ve affected you

Do not train heavy first time!!!!
A lot of the Crossfit champs are blocky, heavy and will surely be injured and sitting on the sofa by age 50
A lot of people that make comments like this are already sitting on the sofa and wont be champions of anything.
Love her, but seriously.. Odd she didnt have a tiara and gown to the gym..
Ur not usinig ur lay back in ur row. Ur shoulders should go back further on the lay back. ANYWAY nice work. Ur bum and quads must have been on fire 🔥 after that.😂
