Excellent decision not to run the horse at the Belmont. Highly likely given the diagnosis that the horse might get badly injured in a 1.5 race. Reality is that the horse was a real champion. Beautiful wins at the Santa Anita, Kentucky, and Preakness.Smart too, always knew where the finish was. Now he gets to spend the rest of his days in a beautiful pasture mounting every mare they can fit in. Winning.
Wow! Only $11,000 for this great horse?! What a deal. He is very good looking for a yearling, and a big boy! He has the heart to win, hopefully the distance in the Belmont wont be too much for him.
himself in the process. Horses are used to routine, are used to things being one way. He was settled in the stall when they changed the goddamned rules to make themselves look good. As for the tendon, run three miles under a sore tendon, or a achillies heel injury, or any other massive or even small problem. I limped from home to work and back again with a cut on my heel once and every step was sheer agony. I barely made it and it was only a mile and a half. It's the same for horses. You can't
Guess who they would blame then? The owners, saying that the horse was injured and it was THEIR FAULT for making the horse run. The stud fee had nothing to do with it, it was the injury on the leg and I don't blame them at all for pulling them.
know if the horse is hurting. They can't tell you, it may seem like the horse injury is no big deal, but if he ran, it could've aggravated it to the point where the horse had a broken leg, permanently injured, or in the worst case scenario... Laying on the track screaming in agony with a leg broken while a hundred thousand fans watched him being put down. They did the right thing by a long shot. The horse will recover, but if they raced him, he wouldn't have been. A jog alone showed pain.
He looked like a million bucks....the person that stopped at 10,500 jumped off the Golden Gate bridge after the bargain colt of 11k won the Derby! Proof that money can buy a Derby winner, even if it is a small amount! Not in the price...it's in their heart!
Okay, say if the horse runs. Let me put it this way, the horse at a JOG was swelling that leg. A DEAD GALLOP over a mile and a half... A MILE AND A HALF, would have aggravated it to beyond repair. Next time you get a hurt leg, or a cut on your foot, run three miles, non-stop as fast as you can. DO NOT STOP, and see how you are at the end. See how that leg feels. Horses like IHA run in races because they love to, if he ran, he probably wouldn't have stopped and you would've had another Barbaro.
if he knew the first person he would call is the press. Anyway, horses get lame, blame the NYRA for forcing such horrendous conditions on these sensitive horses at the last minute. All the trainers were blasting the NYRA for such a move three weeks before the Belmont. They forced those horses to move a few days ago and I'll Have Another was in crowded appalling conditions with horses he didn't know. He ripped his water bucket from the stall earlier and was throwing a fit. He could easily injure
think about if this horse tested positive for something after the preakness 1 of the biggest horse betting days of the year not only is it a black eye on the sport but also youd have so many people complaining about getting cheated out of their money.horse racing has been on the decline in recent years and something like that would really crush it and hit them where it hurts the most in the pockets so when it comes to money people lie and do crazy shit you see it every day.
Thanks for sharing. A beautiful horse. While I would've loved to have seen a triple crown winner, the health of the horse is paramount. He may not LOOK lame, but chances ar he would've been severely injured. I wish he had been healthy enough to run. Horse racing could've used the boost.
so they say he has a leg injury i dont know if i believe that at all.remember his trainer just got suspended 2 weeks ago for giving horses a banned substance.on thursday oneal is saying the horse looks great and is training great now the next day hes hurt?anyone who follows racing knows they dont do anything the last few days leading up to a big race that can injure a horse.with all the shady shit over the years ive seen in racing i have my doubts about this one.
I respect their decision for not running him(just imo). Of course O' Neill stated he could have run however, if he had come up lame on the track then what? Can't make all the people happy and sadly they can't win for losing.
The horse had swelling in his leg. That is STARTING for lameness, any person who knows a horse knows that any swelling is bad. If your leg is swollen and sore, would you run three miles on it? No, you'd ice it and take it easy. It's same with a horse. If you run three miles on a sore leg, no limping, not a lot of pain, how would your leg be at the end? Wrenched, you in the hospital with a broken leg or a ruptured tendon. It happens to horses all the time, and people blame the owners for running.
I don't think I've heard a statement that false before. I'll have another was sold for 10 million dollars. Just because he was injured does not mean that his life was over. He won America's biggest races. Sorry my friend that is just not true.
I'll bet the guy who said "no" to $11,500 feels pretty silly these days. This is absolutely the dream - buy a million dollar horse for the cost of a used car.
Fucking dad played bordemisester and iha 2 twice for exatcas. First rave mybdad put 10,000 on them.. Then the Kentucky Derby my dad put 15,000 on IHA.. 10k exacta and 10,000 second place on borde.he also bet some guys out in Mexico big time. My dad only bets when he knows hes ginna win. In the past 20 years my dad has only bet on maybe 10 horses. Point given was his favorite, uncle mo, arrogate, zenyetta, Rachel Alexander, American pharoah ( he won a pick 6 that year 2015) crazy amout of money we won. Then California Chrome and justify. My dad really likes uncle chuck. Will see.
Only 11,000? And he won major races? My lord that's like the bargain of all bargains in the horse racing world😂I could have bought him for that. His owners are very lucky
Actually if you want the foal to be Jockey Club registered they have to be live cover bred only. They can be bred in other ways but this means the foal cannot be raced which is the ultimate goal with putting him up for stud... making winners. Although he has very nice sporthorse conformation.
I REALLY LOVE THAT HORSE THE WAY I LOVE MY ELEVEN CENTS 1995 PENNY ON DIME with a Legitimate OFFERED from 100,000.00 US Dollars to Seven MILLION US DOLLARS But was DECLINED EASILY....I RATHER TO KEEP MY ELEVEN CENTS IF THEY GO with my FAVORITE NUMBER 8.5 WELL THEY HURT ME SO BAD BECAUSE I WILL LOSS IT AND THEY WILL THE AUCTION that I PUT on eBAY last JAN this YEAR..
If "I'll have another" wins the triple crown then I guess I would have to tell my bartender... "I'll have another, for I'll have another". That will get me 2 anothers! Wait... 1 another... wait... I'm confused. May I had too many! Anyhow, good luck I'll have another! Oops I just ordered another! O well!
Yes, the injury was likely a "ruse" and then he was sold to Big Red Farm, as a STUD, for 10 million dollars. And just because a racehorse is injured, doesn't automatically render the horse's life as "over". If you don't know anything about racehorses, fine, at least READ about IHA's history. Your comments are completely IDIOTIC & you're either making facts up, or pulling them out of your arse!
stud farm my ass.. he went to the slaughter house, who wants to keep a horse who supposed to have torn a ligament in his leg?? once injured his career and life is over
For those of you watching this and do not understand horse sales, This is a YEARLING sale. He has never raced BEFORE this sale. He is only a YEAR OLD.
Such a steal this was unbelievable!
Excellent decision not to run the horse at the Belmont. Highly likely given the diagnosis that the horse might get badly injured in a 1.5 race. Reality is that the horse was a real champion. OMG, what a BEAUTIFUL horse! Amazing!
Yes, it is. She has had that job for a long time.
Now the winner of the 2012 Kentucky Derby.
Wow! Only $11,000 for this great horse?! What a deal. He is very good looking for a yearling, and a big boy! He has the heart to win, hopefully the distance in the Belmont wont be too much for him.
Isn't that the same woman who lead Zenyatta when she sold in the ring?
I dont know why, i just love this horse.

This handler has held some famous babies. Zenyatta is one of them. I wonder if she keeps a record!
Guess who they would blame then? The owners, saying that the horse was injured and it was THEIR FAULT for making the horse run. The stud fee had nothing to do with it, it was the injury on the leg and I don't blame them at all for pulling them.
Horse wasn't lame... trainer said it himself.
Reminds me of another bargain diamond in the rough - Seattle Slew. :-)
the auctioneer is awesome.
know if the horse is hurting. They can't tell you, it may seem like the horse injury is no big deal, but if he ran, it could've aggravated it to the point where the horse had a broken leg, permanently injured, or in the worst case scenario...

What a good looking colt "I'll Have Another" was! (holy smokes.. check out how long those pasterns are! Hope they hold up!)
He is my hero!!! His heart is worth millions!!!
Wow!! He went for so freaking cheap!!
OMG. A beautiful horse and moment ruined by a horrific auction call. Was not expecting that! LOL
Is it too late to make a bid...
He looked like a million bucks....the person that stopped at 10,500 jumped off the Golden Gate bridge after the bargain colt of 11k won the Derby! Proof that money can buy a Derby winner, even if it is a small amount! Not in the price...it's in their heart!
I wonder why nobody bid this horse up or knew about him? Very strange this horse went on to be quite famous and a big money winner.
What are you talking about? He got a leg injury.
Well thats what I thought at first but I thought.he said 25000 in winnings... Maybe I misunderstood
I'll have another.... triple crown winner please
Okay, say if the horse runs. Let me put it this way, the horse at a JOG was swelling that leg. A DEAD GALLOP over a mile and a half... A MILE AND A HALF, would have aggravated it to beyond repair. When the owner bought the horse he was like, that's a good deal... I'll have another!
what are you talking about? this horse won the kentucky derby, preakness stakes, santa anita derby and is now at one of japans leading stud farms...
Same woman who handled Zenyatta when she was a yearling.
was that really ill have another? He sold for 35K didn't he?
Yes as a 2 year old. This is a yearling sale.
Congradulations for winning the derby, wish we made it there! *.*
Thanks for sharing. A beautiful horse. While I would've loved to have seen a triple crown winner, the health of the horse is paramount. He may not LOOK lame, but chances ar he would've been severely injured. I wish he had been healthy enough to run. Horse racing could've used the boost.

Thanks for winning me $200, I'll Have Another!
he had already won $25,000 and only sold for $11,000 - seems like common sense to buy.
Real bargain for a horse like that
I respect their decision for not running him(just imo). Of course O' Neill stated he could have run however, if he had come up lame on the track then what? Can't make all the people happy and sadly they can't win for losing.
stubby little horse, like sea biscuit , he didn't know he wasn't supposed to win :)
He is having trouble with the back left leg. When he stands still, he takes the weight off of it.
The horse had swelling in his leg. That is STARTING for lameness, any person who knows a horse knows that any swelling is bad. If your leg is swollen and sore, would you run three miles on it? It litterally sounded like he was being possessed by a demon.

sounded like elvis was reincarnated as an auctioneer?
Hey.. bitty gee hey bitty gee hey

and he was sold as stallion for over a million 😂😂😂🐎🏆
Fucking dad played bordemisester and iha 2 twice for exatcas. First rave mybdad put 10,000 on them.. Gotta laugh at the geniuses that have never been to a horse sale mocking the auctioneers voice.
I like the part when Elvis starts singing
haaha not a bad 11 k investment , santa anita derby lol
xD!! I can't stop laughing at this Auctioneer!!
Herbigibit 3 bigibit 4 bigibit 5 bigibit 6 bigibit 7 bigibit 8.
Only 11,000? And he won major races? My lord that's like the bargain of all bargains in the horse racing world😂I could have bought him for that. His owners are very lucky
He was a yearling at this auction; they don't race until they are two. He hadn't won a cent at this time.
Actually if you want the foal to be Jockey Club registered they have to be live cover bred only. They can be bred in other ways but this means the foal cannot be raced which is the ultimate goal with putting him up for stud... making winners. Although he has very nice sporthorse conformation.
next time i go to the track im gonna put my bet in that way.

After I read your comment,I could not stop laughing! I'm laughing right now! ;,D
If I was bidding for this horse I be completely lost :L
he hadnt won anything yet
I always wondered why they talk like this. I think it sounds stupid
its dubstep in its natural habitat
the auctioneer sounds like he's on bath salts
He was claimed for $35K in a race.
Yeah, duh... Thanks for the correction guys.
13,000 now lol
BUT he was injured and couldnt run ib the belmont, which he likely would have won.
Thoroughbred's are bred by live cover.
And princes and kings spend millions on yearlings LOL
If "I'll have another" wins the triple crown then I guess I would have to tell my bartender... "I'll have another, for I'll have another". That will get me 2 anothers! Wait... 1 another... wait... I'm confused. May I had too many! Anyhow, good luck I'll have another! Oops I just ordered another! O well!
the actioneer would be the voice of Michael j foxes body if it could speak
IHA 2!! He Was Posing for Croud ha Only
11k Steal!!
The guys voice is freaking annoying
No spark...
Yes, the injury was likely a "ruse" and then he was sold to Big Red Farm, as a STUD, for 10 million dollars. stud farm my ass.. he went to the slaughter house, who wants to keep a horse who supposed to have torn a ligament in his leg?? once injured his career and life is over
