A very good friend of mine and my first racehorse trainer back in 2001 , was the underbidder on Arcangelo , he’s been searching for that big horse his whole life , he’s definitely had a few nice ones , but not any grade 1 winners .. tough game .

Exactly what I’ve been saying. It’s beautiful what’s happening with this horse, also awesome to see the owner never giving a thought about switching trainer, staying with the woman trainer
Notice when announcer went back to 35 after they refused to pay 37 the horse scoffed, took step back and hissed at him and said he's stupid for not bidding more at 37 and letting other guy take him for 35 and then he turned around and farted in his face for not paying 2k more and said I am going to laugh at you when I win millions of dollars at the Belmont stakes with a girl trainer. I love this horse lol 😂
Some do he may have already dropped but generally they're a little hard to handle I would imagine it's like pinching a testicle and it's up there racing this horse don't act like that at all so I would imagine he's either dropped or not

The farm manager where he was bred said that he was small and immature and that the Arrogates had not done much yet, so they were not surprised with the price. They obviously must have set a very low reserve on him as well.
how could you not love this. it proves that you do not need a million dollars horse to win the big one. ebbert buys arcangelo as a yearling for $35,000 when he was only 14 months old. by the grace of god ebbert meets antanucci by accident just 24 hours before the purchase at the yearling sale. he calls her after the purchase and asks her if she wants to be the trainer for arcangelo. the marriage is born. arcangelo the son of the great arrogate who has left earth way too soon and grandson of the strong tapit has now won 4 in a row. arcangelo is one very tough horse. he must be thinking well all i have to do is run faster than my buddies and i get extra affection from my humans and bonus peppermints. what a day for everyone involved with arcangelo.
Not only is he the 2023 Belmont Stakes winner, he just became the winner in the 2023 Travers Stakes! Congratulations Arcangelo!
he is so calm. the deal of the century for ebbert.
So true. Look at him just scan the crowd. He's so chill.
And if he's a rig that's pretty unusual....
You'd be calm with a lipchain on 😂

Glad he Got a deal. Horse didn't win a race until just 3months ago. And now worth a few million. Nice!

The best horses are always sold cheap, people don't know anything and think they are experts
It has to do with confirmation ,pedigree and other factors.

I’ve always wondered how the owners that spend hundreds of thousands of dollars feel like when they see the success of an Arcangelo😂😂😂.

Northern Dancer was offered for $25K in 1962 (about $260K PV). Seattle Slew was bought for $17K (about $100K PV).
What a steal. Ridglings can and often do go on to be successful sires, plus his pedigree is to die for. Insane more people didn't want this horse.
Selling for 35 today's it's millions dollar baby
On Pedigree Query he is now listed as a colt.

Will his testicles ever drop..? Are ridglings kinda like a gelding..?

Didn't know he was a rig. That coupled with the fact the Arrogates did not impress at this age accounts for his low sales price.
Plus he was small and immature being a mid-April foal.

He is a ridgeling so would not work as a stud. Great racehorse so maybe will be put to stud after after a great racing career. ???
