I rode the same road, except I rode on the opposite side, right side, Close to the mountain. Wonderful trip. Also, your narrative is great. Lucky you get to travel with Ms Ashley.
Thank you for taking me along on this amazingly beautiful ride! Will be heading down there from Minnesota in July and now have a taste of what it will be. Simply fantastic is and breathtaking is what I saw. Thank you again!!
During the late '70's to early '80's, when I lived in Colorado, I recall roads were even more treacherous! Thanks for sharing your family's ride with us.
That is absolutely beautiful, on my bucket list for sure, thanks for sharing and I love your videos and what you give back to our service men and women, much respect
Love the videos, brother! Please do more POV rides like this so I can continue to live vicariously through you. Love the audio with you and Ashley just communicating. Made it very enjoyable.
Ashley and Adam, thank you for taking us along on the Million Dollar Highway Ride. The scenery is worth a Million Dollars and then some. Happy Belated 40th Birthday Adam.
I grew up near there. It's a beautiful summer drive/ride. But they have lost snow plow drivers over the edge and have had cases where they couldn't recover the body until spring because of the risk. I have actually witnessed in the summer time even a car driver stopped in the middle of the lane too scared to continue lol. My grandfather drove them the rest of the way down and i followed in his truck.
This is indeed one of the "MUST" rides to take. I lived in Telluride for a time and did this ride on a Sportster that I had. Also, a must is the hot springs there in Ouray, especially after a long ride,
That was an awesome million dollar highway trip along with hearing you and Ashley made it even better....super stoked for you two......much love brother ✌✌✌
I’m amazed how quiet your bikes are through the helmets. “The origin of the name Million Dollar Highway is disputed. There are several legends, though, including that it cost a million dollars a mile to build in the 1920s, and that its fill dirt contains a million dollars in gold ore.” Thanks for sharing your whole ride...amazing! 🇺🇸❤️
Just got back from our trip to Sturgis (we live in So. Cal.) and met a couple at a hotel stop in Green River, WY and they mentioned they are riding there from El Paso, TX and their route takes them through Colorado and the Million Dollar Highway. I think we're gonna change our route and include it next year. Thanks Adam!!
Thanks for the views bud, and from what I understand, CODOT or Co Hwy Dept does put up guard rails where people went over. I went off a 200' embankment in my CJ5 and the next summer there was railing.
Great video. I have crossed the MDH the other way. I live in NH and watching your video makes me want to get on my Road Glide Ultra and do a road trip to Colorado.
Awesome!!! One road i didn't get to do on my trip due to time constraints after hitting almost all of the eastern half of the state. Hang on to that woman dude cause I think you found a winner! Nothing better than having one as a riding partner!
Wow! What a gorgeous ride! Thank you for sharing. You and Miss Ashley are so adorable. When are you coming to Cali? We will be praying for your successful surgery on your shoulder. Take care!
Have yet to ride it on my Harley but I have done it several times on my Road Bicycle during several tours and races (Iron Horse Classic). Word to the wise the San Juans make their own weather. One year our race was curtailed over Memorial Day Weekend due to a fast moving blizzard that caught many of us between Coal Bank and Molas Passes. We were eventually rescued by buses chartered by the state patrol and led up the pass by CDOT plows. Ride prepared for the weather. Thought I was going to die from the cold and the wind.
Awesome video Adam. I grew up vacationing with my parents, siblings and cousins in Colorado from the time I was 8 till my last vacation there at 15. I haven’t been there in 37 years. We are planning a trip there next summer. Hopefully I will be able to take the Harley and ride the Million Dollar Highway. Keep up the good work!!
You are in my backyard. Colorful Colorado! How we love the San Juans! Epic ride/drive either by motorcycle or car. Next time you hit Ouray stay at the China Clipper Inn for a fabulous buffet and creature comfort experience. Day trips galore from Ouray. Jeep up to Imogene Pass with a vista all the way to the Grand Mesa. West from Ouray is Telluride. East from Ouray is Cerro Summit to Gunnison/Crested Butte. You cannot beat the sublime beauty of this mountain range, the San Juans.
WOW! So beautiful. I've never seen anything like that. Looked like a fun road to ride, but i still prefer guard rails. Lol. But i can understand why they're not there. Straight down is a little unnerving. Thanks for taking us along.
Hey cool video I drive that all the time for work. My dad plowed that in the 70s. That concrete shed over the highway was built after a plow driver was killed in a avalanche in the 90s there’s a memorial for him just after you pass the structure. Safe travels.
The story I was told by my grandfather, who was a dozer operator on the million dollar highway when it was built, that gold was found while cutting the road. They were months behind schedule and wasn't able to do anything but continue building the road. That's why there's quite a few mining camps along the way.
Great job on all those winding curves and switchbacks Ashley. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.....😎 Following those trailers in the mountains reminds me of the movie The Long, Long Trailer with Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball.
I was told that they used the tailings fill from the mines that contained gold. Tailing is the piles of extra dirt ,rocks etc. That you can still see some of the piles outside some of the old mines. My wife and I went there last year and it is absolutely amazing views. Rent a jeep and do imogene pass (13,114') the views are even better up there.
That was awesome I hope I get the opportunity to get out and ride that man dollar highway. I have a bell bullet and there’s an awesome helmet. Thanks for what you do
The town of Ouray is pronounced You Ray. he was an Indian Chief. I ride that road every year. Another cool rid is from Ouray through Ridgeway past Placerville up to Naturita and to Gateway, along the San Miguel and Delores Rivers.
Crazy low snowpack! I've ridden it in late July/Aug and you got WAY better weather! Lots of T-showers in the afternoon later in the summer. I agree with your Hwy 1 and Hwy 550 as tops but curious what you think of Beartooth? I give it #1! Ride safe guys!
Did it about 12 years ago in a semi, not near as much fun! Beautiful none the less. US 50 between Gunnison and Canon City is beautiful as well. Enjoy the rides. Hope to enjoy them myself on 2 wheels soon. 2 million miles on18 i have seen a lot of this country, no where to park and take it in though.
In Colorado 12,000 ft in considered timberline. Since we see a lot of trees above you and a tree covered mountain ahead at that moment, therefore, it cannot be timberline so must be in the 9,000 range.
You guys are too cool, I have ridden that road at least 3 or 4 times and it never gets old. Adam, you and Ashley sound just like me and my wife talking on the Sena's we have...Are you there?. (push button) (Push button) Can you hear me? Usually when that happens to me she is on the phone talking to her mom or kids. Anyway, nice video, enjoyed watching it, brings back memories...
Great ride you and Ashley did a great job. Ouray is pronounced Uray I had to ask when I was there because I pronounced it just like you😂 safe travels and your surgery will be a cakewalk. I’ve had 1 replaced and the other one repaired. Just take it easy and hope to see ya soon👍🇺🇸
That was a HEAVY DUTY!!!!!!! Ride ! Thank you for taking us along.

Thanks Adam! That is amazing. You inspire me to ride more. Life’s short! Ride your motorcycle!
I like that we can hear Ashley too, that is some beautiful scenery brother.
16:34 Look at that mountain in the distance on the left. Looks like a man laying his head down and sleeping. Awesome highway. Thanks Adam!
This ride is best in the fall. Leaves have so many colors it will astound you. I have taken almost every year.
Awesomely done brother. Thank you so much for what you’re doing. We can Live vicariously through your videos
I am so, so, so bummed that we couldn’t stay one more day to make this ride with you! So beautiful!!
During the late '70's to early '80's, when I lived in Colorado, I recall roads were even more treacherous!
Thanks for sharing your family's ride with us.
I think I have watched almost every one of your videos. This is the best ride I have seen. I can't wait to have the opportunity to ride that highway.

This is indeed one of the "MUST" rides to take. I lived in Telluride for a time and did this ride on a Sportster that I had. Also, a must is the hot springs there in Ouray, especially after a long ride,

Torc T1 retro takes the bell bullet helmet one step further and has made the vents controllable, and for a lot less cash!!!!!
Another great video. I love the Sena 10C. Keep up the great work.
