This one time at fish camp I was sixteen and the sun didn’t set for weeks. I lived more in those few weeks than I did in many other years. So many good memories.
Andrew, wife and I spent a few days at Hay River and fell in love with the town. Saw the musical ride and the Aurora. Beautiful country you hunt and fish in. Greetings from Minnesota. really enjoy your channel.
This one time, at band camp..... I about crapped my pants on that one Andrew!!! Great video. I love the camaraderie between you guys. Really cool to see. 👍
Great fillets the community will have plenty of delicious fish to enjoy! Good job guys have fun looking forward to seeing the next set what she brings in! …We’re going that away boys!
I hope you don't get a bunch of suckers on the next set. I remember when the trash fish would full our nets, sometimes big carp 15-30 pounds, but it was usually Gizzard Shad that would fill the nets, especially if it got windy and rough. It takes so long to take the trash fish out of the nets and it's on miserable, rough days. We caught some nice Striped Bass over 10 pounds but nothing big as good as those lake trout up there.
Your getting the cone nose whites ah? I live in an area where we get cone nose, round nose, shee fish, lesser Cisco, and one more I can't oh and bearing Ciscos too. We really love the round nose. You'd love it out here for white fish. On a good day checking your net twice a day you'd get maybe two tubs each check wish I can send some pics I got from this year's subsistence fishing.
Awsome Videos lately... love the Regular video uploads. Can you explain how the Metis, Tribe benefits from the fish you catch show the elders receiving the Fish, is this a paying job or volunteering.
Do you vary your directions that you put your nets in the lake? Like parallel to the prevailing wind or current? I imagine it is a crap shoot till you find that honey hole. Thanks for bringing us along for the day.
What is the name of the big fish you was catching the other day that sounded like you was calling it corny?? So did your mermaid taste like fish?? LOL What was the hug fish and others you caught??

Good honest work got to love that now you've got a legit shot at a 20 lb pike Andrew!!!
Nice work Andrew. Stay positive.
Well now I want to know what he did with that mermaid 😂😂
Funny guy cuzzin’
Keep up the great work
You guys are great.
The net tugger is good, but I would cut the sides off it. That way the bigger fish wouldn’t get jammed between the wheel and sides
That’s what I was thinking, I don’t see the need for the sides in this situation.
And the top of the reel. It looks like it's made to catch fingers.
How many times do you get asked, hey Andrew which way you going?
Every day
Dried and smoke cone nose is very good.
great video , thanks

Any one ever watch bushway clean fish??? 100 fish on frozen lake 20 mins
really cool andrew keep it up
Frig you guys are lucky to have such slack summer jobs. Mot commercial setups, it’s push push push.
We work for the people not a business
Ya frig commercial lol I seen a show
Tug boat looks like some good to on that baby
Exciting to see this!

All good trapping bait from those guts
Is the water always that color? Or does it clear up later in the summer?
It will clear up. All the river that dump into the lake bring all the sediment with the spring runoff
If you don't mind me telling you but if you pull their gills they will bleed out . It will make a difference to the fillets we do it here with cod
👍
The hauler head could use a tad bit of adjustment but then again u ain't haulin 90 nets a day so it's all good!!! Lol
That’s a huge trout. Do you keep some parts for bait for the up coming trapping season ?
Awesome content
How many species of fish are in the lake
Are you coming out of the east channel of the Hay River to get out onto the Slave? That is a freakin massive body of water
Always got to let the bro's know the cam is running lol. 👊💀 Not a bad day hopefully a better day for ya's.
can you do a net mending video?
Does someone know what type of gloves they are using to hold the fish and protect thier hands?
What is the name of the big fish you was catching the other day that sounded like you was calling it corny?? So did your mermaid taste like fish?? LOL
What was the hug fish and others you caught??
What they call Coneys are Innconu or Shee-Fish.
Andrew you need a longer knife😀
What kind of fish is that at 3:08? It's got some teeth on it wow
In the comments last video you said you never sell fish. Is this a Métis substance fisheries?
Where did u buy them nets ?
The fish plant in hay river
Good tons fukin auto correct going to town on me
Give them Hell Andrew
Do you give the fish to the people of the Metis Nation or do they sell it for money ?
So you don't sell the fish to the market ? YOU give it all to the "elders" where you live to help them out????
Fak ya guys lol
