Would it be possible for you to send your interviewees a list of questions so they can provide relevant information when you ask them? They should know that you'll be asking what the required minimum pension amount is, but they often don't. Thanks!
Enjoyable interview. He is a man after my own heart….a ‘flaneur’ and lover of the arts and the French language. One thing that doesn’t get discussed much in these interviews is making new friends. How difficult is it to make new friends or acquaintances when you move to your new country?
Living in France for 18 years. It’s health care is superior to anything in USA and affordable. Food is superior too. Problem now in Europe is debt like in USA. Before end game arrives in USA & France, France proposing to tax wealth over a certain amount 90% as well as income & inheritance. They will also require French to list everything they own to be their collateral. Additionally, all communications are tracked leaving no privacy to ask questions or make comments anywhere.
I’m living in Europe now. But I would go back to US if I had a serious illness. Until you have only mild issues Europe is fine. I can tell you this after being a physician for 35 years in the US.
@@adventurefreaksss Certainly, if you believe the ranking agencies. Again, if you have cancer or heart disease you are better in US. If you have chronic disease like diabetes Europe is probably better.
Language is the key ! -- Not everyone knows it - so it would be - "very uncomfortable" - living in any country w/o the language skills. -?- ALSO > people define "affordable" differently. --- His rent alone (!) is like for 2 months budget total expenses in Siem Reap Cambodia -- or -- Lipa City Philippines ?!? Retired seniors w/o language skills can find S E Asia - where cost of living is so much lower and English is easier to get by with ! --- He is unique being a French language teacher - and - coming from an expensive area of the US - certainly makes it appear more affordable.

Great idea about the address in establishing residency. very helpful if I ever decide to move
Thank you @ChurchhillWill!!
Apply for residency in a non tax state so when you move you won’t receive bills from your tax state.
@@ParisianThinker we have a video on this! ruclips.net/video/G-5lS-1_G-k/видео.html
Great interview! Thank you
Thank you Sue!
Very interesting! We thought Paris would be way too expensive but looks doable. Germany required 10,000 euros in a bank account.
When you compare Paris to NYC or Sanfrancisco, Toronto, it's a deal!

The French govt. say that €1,700 a month per person is the required amount to "live in France."
