Thanks for posting this video. I've got quite the Euffy setup after a desire to know when my landlord was entering my apartment. And now that I'm a new homeowner, I can just add sensors to detect sump pump failure or other leaks that concern me. I love this company and their more than adequate feature list with no subscription. I hope they never change their mentality.
Looking at this system, but want a LOUD external siren with a bright flashing light to alert neighbours etc. The LED doesn't look very bright, and the beeping sound is all wrong. Good videos, keep them coming. Cheers from NZ.
Just started researching alarm systems this morning after having a break in last night (they got about $3k worth of power tools from my garage -grrr). This Eufy system looks really good. I agree that glass break sensors would be a great addition, and if I may add my own, a unit that is switched when an alarm goes off. This could be used for driving an existing (really loud) siren and flashing light, or whatever you want. Just a thought...
You addressed (not answered) my question. 🙂 I have the same wish, I wanted to use this to extend the audible notification for my Eufy doorbell. Perhaps in the future...
Haha. I wish I had watched this yesterday. I was setting up a Eufy water sensor, and was wondering why it wouldn't work. I had cut the plastic away from the positive end of the battery, but didn't know that there was plastic covering the negative end as well. But once I removed it, everything worked fine.
Hi my friend love the video you do on eufy stuff yes it would be better whit a siren But even better would be a one with a siren and a blue light flashing for outside please would you ask eufy to look in to that please Keep up the good work you do dave.
I had just purchased an EUFY 5 in 1 security kit, and it comes with a basestation 1. Reading through the manual, I then came to know about a limitation that the alerts can either be sent to the base station or to a mobile but not both, is that true . Should I return the base station 1 and buy a base station 3 instead?
The sensor I wish Eufy would make is an outdoor (waterproof) motion sensor. I have had to buy several Ring sensors to use with Routines to trigger my Eufy cameras or Alexa announcements.
Fantastic! So many initial reviews said it just starts sounding regardless of the setting. I’m glad this is not the case!! Thank you so much for your in depth reviews of these products.
If you do the professional monitoring with eufy for 100 bucks/year, will they give you an insurance certificate for fire/carbon monoxide monitoring as well as burglary with this system on the home base 3 using all these sensors?
Very thorough and concise video. Answered the questions I had. Thanks for timing out the audible detector(smoke/carbon etc). Seems to take a sustained loud noise to trigger the sensor.👍🏼
Hi thank you for your video. I have question is it possible to connect Smart Siren Alarm Tuya Zigbee App Remote Control Home Security Protection System to eufy Homebase unit? If so how?
I'm not sure if anybody asked this yet... and if they didn't, maybe you can test this for us... but if the fire alarm is in close proximity to the CO detector, say maybe 30", will the sound detector detect both alarms, or do I need two separate sound detectors? And maybe you already covered this in your video, but... SQUIRREL! Great video, BTW. I'm definitely gonna buy the water alarm and the alarm siren. I understand the siren is a bit lacking, as of right now, but I'm gonna use it in my bedroom as I sleep right through the HB alarm that's located in the adjacent room. Thanks.
Thanks for the videos. Im underwhelmed by eufy's security system. Ring seems better, but its cameras are far worse than the new ones by eufy. Maybe I will get a Ring alarm and eufy cameras.
THank you for answering me and it was a good video that told me what I wanted to know. I also had heard that the siren was not loud. and I have a base station. I will be buying one of these. Thank you. @@kgunning81
Glass break sensors can cover larger areas because they don't rely on line of sight. It would also alltert to a window being broken before entry is made giving you a little bit earlier of a warning. All layers of security.
Thanks for video. We are TRYING to use Eufy as an alarm system but frustrated by some things. These sirens TURN OFF after 30 seconds or so. At that point the thief relaxes and continues stealing stuff. Eufy says this is a FEATURE! Have you talked to them about this ? And what are your thoughts on an AUTO DISABLING alarm siren ? Also, what are your thoughts on the Noonlight subscription service via Euffy app for monitored alarm system? If the notification delay of the alarm is as bad as my eufy doorbell with homebase 2, I will be dead by the time I get notified. Home assistant notifications take less than 1 sec.
It's crazy you aren't more popular, this is a great video
Thank you! I appreciate appreciate the kind words.

Great video, Im thinking of getting this system. You can just mount the Siren outside high up out of arms reach so people couldn't remove it.

Hey, thanks for the update. I was really thinking of the smoke alarm

The "declared db" measurements for all kind of devices are measured usually at 1mt distance.
Question, smoke alarms, are they networked, as if the one goes off in the car garage do the others on 1st floor and 2nd floor also sound.
These arent smoke alarms, they are listeners, they listen for your already existing alarms to go off, and then alert you though the security system.
Hi its Mark I just want to know if the siren water resistant if you put outdoors. Thanks

I have allerts going to both, there really isn't a need to upgrade the base unless you are going to be using cameras as well.
c02 Sensor???
The sensor I wish Eufy would make is an outdoor (waterproof) motion sensor. I have had to buy several Ring sensors to use with Routines to trigger my Eufy cameras or Alexa announcements.
Hadn’t thought of that as I’ve been using cameras as outdoor sensors, but it would be a good addition to what they offer.
Would love to know how you set it up
Have they uodated the beeping on the siren to anything that sounds more like an security alarm siren?
Unfortunately no
you hold the mesurement mic one meter from the device
Do you know if they resolved the issue where there is no “delay” for a set security alarm and the siren sounding?
You can set the delay in the app, I have mine set to 30 seconds.

Does it work with homebase 2? Product page says s280 and s380
I don't have my HB2 hooked up any longer to be able to check for sure, but according to their site it looks like they should work with HB2.
Can you do a video of the eufy home alarm system please mark in Australia
Sure thing, a did one a while back. Here you go: ruclips.net/video/dobHGx79uxA/видео.html
Can any of these devices also be hardwired?
Carbon Monoxide sensors?
That’s what the listener sensor is for.
the links do not work

I havn't found a way.... I have the rest of my house setup on a hubitat, I wish I could integrate it.

Is this a new siren? I just put in a full camera system
Yes, the regular system just uses the base station as a siren. This gives you a separate siren.
THank you for answering me and it was a good video that told me what I wanted to know. I also had heard that the siren was not loud. and I have a base station. I will be buying one of these. Thank you. @@kgunning81
Why a complex glass breaking sensor when you can use a motion sensor that will cover more range?
Glass break sensors can cover larger areas because they don't rely on line of sight. It would also alltert to a window being broken before entry is made giving you a little bit earlier of a warning. All layers of security.

The beeping for the outdoor siren really isn't the sound expected of an outdoor siren... Super disappointing..
They apparently updated it
@@marcusaurelius3487Is it any better?
The smoke/co2 sensor is essentially a microphone? Makes you wonder what else its listening to instead of just the alarms 😐😑

Home assistant notifications take less than 1 sec.
This isn't to notify you when you're in the home, that's what the actual alarm is for....
