I can be depressed and lonely when I can’t find someone to relate my understandings.

I agree with everything except that it's not that difficult for me to make friends, If you analyse people and make friends with logical mindset rather than emotional mindset, you can make long term friends without emotional drama. People who agree with my thoughts as well as those who challenge my thoughts make good friends for me.
Also, INTPs have a dark side of getting addicted to everything as part of the extreme focus and passion, sometimes the addiction can be other people too.

Sometimes people might say I'm a mistype, and I actually thought so too because I was the best go to of my friends when they need advices but then going back, I realised I really didn't give emotional support but mostly, I am trying to find solutions to their problems. But then, I have come to conclusion that there are other personalities that needs emotional support so I adapted well in the "F" comforting style(I am surrounded by a lot of them), I copied their style, tho that drains me most of the time. And that made me feel guilty cause I usually feel like I am faking concern and emotions.

I disagree with when people say “they’re obsessed with being correct”. Yes I like winning but it’s just that. If someone in almost anything (arguement, sport, video game, etc) can genuinely beat me with some tactic/technique I haven’t heard of, or can give me an outlook that I haven’t thought of I will absolutely appreciate it, and enjoy it more than any victory. It gives me something new to try/develop/learn, and I often can feel better from that “loss”, unless there was ego involved (which never happens outside of For Honor lmao).

    As an INTP,
    (who is currently 13)
I am very orderly, and will always get things done, except on weekends. I procrastinate everything I told myself I would do because I feel too tired of a long week of sports and schoolwork
I find it very difficult to interact with most of my classmates since most of them have been there from a young age, and aren't too fond of talking to new people (I move around a lot, so I'm new)
Whenever I gain a new interest, I always go on research sprees until I know almost everything there is to know about that. It's been a habit I've had since around the third grade.
I excel in school based subjects and I have been an above average student for as long as I can remember
I started reading before I even got into school, and I really enjoyed it
The close friends that I do have, I feel as if I love them with my whole heart. I would do pretty much anything for them
I find it really hard to talk to anyone who I find attractive, I'm only thirteen, but there are some pretty people at my school, even though I don't have a crush on them, I still find it difficult to talk to them, as I don't want them to think I'm a bad person

I like weird. But surely logic is not weird. 1.] Passive aggressive? I call it apathy. 2.] Yes, I cherish my ability to tune out distractions. Like ignoring the backseat driver. I care enough that I want to keep him safe, so I keep my mind on driving. 3.] Indeed I can find logical errors everywhere, in my own behavior too. I can argue either side of an issue. I have to! Otherwise I could not know which side is right. 4.] I can hardly finish anything because there will always be more to learn first. 5.] I think it is best, when given an order, to know the reason for it, so that I can believe in it and do it right. Doing the right thing is the most important. So yes, I may ask questions or even disobey. 6.] Romance? Well, there was once a time when this was possible, but it didn't work out. 7.] Yes, I know a lot of stuff. This comes in handy, but it is also fun. 8.] I can explain myself, but most people have a hard time understanding me. Consequently, I am more interested in hearing what they think than trying to tell them what I think. Other people's opinions are also interesting to remember.

I spent hours writing possible reasons why i like him and pinpointed the most likely reason. I found the reason unreasonable and illogical so my feelings cooled than a lot when i realize it lol. Its feels like having a debate with myself about my feelings XD.
I started to not care about him and not think about him the following days, but he just have to randomly sing me a song with his guitar so yeah, all my efforts wasted.

Like what someone might expect from the INTP, I was always perceived as being weird, or social awkward. My school life was extremely difficult, because I would get bullied relentlessly for my constant day dreaming habits and being different from all the other girls. Even now, I constantly dream up theories about theoretical physics, philosophy and psychology. For instance I often contemplate about Spinoza’s logical consistency and the truths he explores, and how much of his ideas even manifested in Einstein’s “Special Theory of Relativity”.

Seems INTPs are pretty rare and hard to find since we don't need the feel to socialize and drain our energy just like that.

As an INTP I agree with all of this. For example, my friend, an ISFP, has alot of friends with mental health problems, so on so forth - when looking at how she texts people like them, she's always so caring and shows pity towards them with texts like "I'm so sorry this is happening, I hope things get better" but then I'm literally helping the person with practical solutions and little to no pity T-T Also the amount of times I've had arguments with dimwits (or even my friends) because they took offence on my correcting them and deflating their oversized egos by just calmly saying they're wrong is insane...

  • @JupiterLight28

I wrote too much the first time so here is the cliff note first:
I got bored of him over explaining "weird" to me.. I mean does he know who he's talking to....? so I sighed, said "shut up" in a rough mumble and skipped ahead and heard "INTP's are passive aggressive" and busted out laughing!
It was a nice magic trick, he knew we'd get bored and skip -right there-
    bravo!
(disclaimer: I know it wasn't planned it's just funnier to think that way)

    • @JupiterLight28
      @JupiterLight28 Год назад +1

ok LONG VERSION of rambles and nonsense. if it bothers you then just skip reading it really is just for entertainment and amusement and I will not be accepting criticism but if you have interesting ideas feel free to share them as long as it's not like "your brain is dumb lol what the f is this lololol pen*s!! I eat boogers on toast"
I sigh and mumble "shut up" when he was over explaining weird to me... like dude, I live in my own mind... do you think calling me weird will bother me? But after I said "shut up" and skipped ahead it was like INTP's can be passive aggressive.😂 like a magic trick (yes I'm an INTP who uses emoji's. Usually I don't but I have developed my Fe over the years and if you say "INTP's don't do that" then maybe we developed different but we still have Fe, bud! (Next it will say that we hold grudges we pretend to be over and they come out in random times such as me not getting over how someone was so rude to me because I analyzed the INFJ personality and how their cognitive function structure may make them appear more rare than they are-just a theory

  • @photographyguru2135

I think INTPs could be very good emotionl supporters because we can listen, give good insights, and help people understand that emotions are just signs of what's going on and can be used as a tool, but do not have to be relied heavily on. We can help them sort out their feelings and decide which ones are worth feeling. Once that is done, we will be there to help them with physical needs, like helping with chores, making food, and things alike. We will always encourage them to stick to the truth no matter how they feel and can help them stay in control of their actions and provide clarity to their hopeless situations by pointing out truth, and positve cources of action.

  • @msk-qp6fn
    @msk-qp6fn 2 года назад +3

I fit many aspects of INTP but how much of it is innate or due to growth and experience, I am not sure. I have done personality type tests a few times in school and I don't think I got INTP then, and I distinctly recall getting ENFP as well in high school. The tactfulness part did get me. It seems a bit hypocritical as well because I am quite emotional and need some sympathy rather than what sounds like judgments when it comes to wrongs (doesn't mean I do not appreciate practical advice though, I love those, but I've learned that many also give belittling judgments under the guise of practical advice), but giving practical advice to the best of my ability IS my love language. But I have learned to be more kind about it, I suppose. Kind in the sense that I wait to listen to their story and wait until they're feeling better.
Oh, and I definitely procrastinate all the time.
I wouldn't say INTPs don't conform to societal norms, more that we need a good explanation if someone is trying to force us into it. It's fine if we just grow to understand and thus accept the norm, but if someone is trying to force us into it, we need a good explanation. We don't really force others into such norms unless someone is explicitly doing violent stuff, so we kinda expect the same from others basically.

for years i felt as i was a weird person, because of time passing i went from ESFP to INTP, and i feel now more identified as an INTP cause when im working on something i usually miss out on jokes, so like irght now, i know the reason behind my bluntness while speaking so i can finally see that i'm not weird at all

You might not like scores and that’s what you might think learning is. Be skilled rather than good grades, might help you for a long time. Limit playing PUBG and focus on how a game like that could be built, what programming languages or what CS skills you need to have?? Good luck

As an INTP, I never answer questions the way one might expect me too. Is the gall half full, or half empty? It's half full of water, half empty of water, and overflowing if we combine how much water and air is in the glass.

When I was in first grade I literally thought nobody understood me and every kid thought I was weird like I would literally go lay down on the ground just so that I could daydream and I wouldn't participate in any group activity on recess. Teacher's thought I was lonley without any friends when in reality I didn't want any friends due to the fact that nobody understood me.

This video just read me like a book. Especially, the part about embarrassment of showing your emotions.

The number 7 is absolutely true for me, I'm a psych student and when we (me and my friends) share random things, I would often ask "what theory is that?" 😅

Strangest thing is that those few friends i have are amazed by my brutal honesty. But in a same time they say im hurting they feelings. But in all honesty i just don't care. If you don't want my opinion, don't ask a question. I will never lie to make anyone feel better.

The test keeps saying my results on perceiving and judging came out 50/50. However I don’t think I’m a intp or an intj, I think I’m just depressed and my personality kind of sucks right now.

lol. 3. -> my girlfriend is an INFJ and im an INTP. when she needs emotional support i often cant rly be serious and tell her just how to fix the problem and give her advise how to deal with it. she often describes me as "too direct"

The fact that I paused the video just to think about the different possibilities of all habits just confirms that I'm an intp.

I am seriously confused between INTP and INTJ. I am INTP, I have an INTJ best friend. He is the awkward one, I help him to interpret social cues and what exactly a girl requires. We he is a encyclopaedia, but in my field of speciality and my interests, he knows I am the go to. So some of the points here are INTJ while lots are INTP

Autistic INTP-T here, and hit the nail on the head on just about everyone of these except oh, maybe one. Eesh. Ouch. My girlfriend walked in during the relationships part and started staring me down like, yeah that's you! Lol
