Beautifully said!!!! 5 Rare, beautiful 🦄 unicorns, that we have had the blessed gift of being able to listen to! Mozart, Tesla, Einstein, DaVinci, Shakespeare all walked into a room...
Tim’s range is 5+ octaves! When he sings tenor and the lead, Chance always does the bass line. Take a look at “Stop, Drop & Roll”, Chance is doing the bass line in that one too! It’s another great one!!
Chance is a true Baritone, Tim is a Bass with an unnatural range...I don't think people understand the difference. Most singers can cover up to 3 octaves with training, some techniques can be learned to extend it, and that's where you get the lowest of notes from Bass singers, but Tim doesn't have to go into falsetto to sing tenor, and that is simply amazing.
The one person you missed in your review was Adam's unbelievable beat boxing in Mayday, which is one of the best drum rhythm arrangements they have done to date. I believe you may have overlooked it because it was so natural to the song's background, you forget that it was Adam instead of actual drums.
Man of constant sorrow, oh yes! Harmonica and Jew harp, so fun! I am a new home fry, because I saw the breakdown by Chris Rupp, of the phenomenal version of Do You Hear What I Hear” arranged by Adam. I have been having a very fun home fry journey and I am loving every minute of it! 😁
Ok, Emily is having a hard time believing that both were Tim? Y'all should do the cover of "Your Man" (preferably live) and watch him do both in the same song. Happy Belated Birthday Brad!!! Great job, I would have thought it was a little early for "Mayday" for her, but she still remembered the note from last week so it worked. Keep 'em coming!!!
It's like Tim woke up and said, "I'm going to be a tenor today". And then they all just kind of switched parts. They're all amazing and versatile. If you want to hear a good Tim display (not breathing fire, but showing off his range), check out his "Can't help falling in love" cover. Great runs and beautiful timbre in his voice on that song.
Tim is a mutant with a 5 octave range. Austin is an amazing Georgia boy. Rob (beard) also has a great voice. (Adam) Chance is the newest member and also has an amazing range. They call him Chance because Adam Rupp (beat boxer) is one of the founding members of the group to avoid confusion over which Adam is being talked about. What blew my mind when I listened to the Home Free version of "How Great Thou Art" was that Adam Rupp sings a couple of solo lines. His voice is so high.
I love this song by Home Free, not only for their fabulous arrangement where they switched parts but because they are singing a song written for a female voice. That's the reason why the first three parts are sung so high. I had never heard this song before and looked up the story behind it and watched Cam's (the original singer's) video. She co-wrote it with Tyler Johnson, and it is about the ending of bad relationships they both had with others. What amazes me about all the reactions that I've watched of this video is that nobody ever comments on the lyrics or meaning of the song. I think it's because the arrangement and performances are so incredible and they're blown away by the individual parts and the catchy tune and beat. They don't seem to realize the frankness of the lyrics and what this song is really communicating. Most have probably never heard it before. At the end, Rob begins singing over and over the first lines that Tim opened with: "You are overbearing; I'm not in love but I don't wanna tell you". Those lyrics are unique, and to hear a man sing these to and about a woman makes quite the impact. I was so intrigued I had to look them up. The lyrics really make sense coming from a woman's point of view, but Home Free pulls them off brilliantly. A lot of credit should go to both songwriters. It took them about five years to complete the song.
It really was a mind blower when you've listened to them for a while. Their cover of In The Blood by John Mayer give a good look at both Tim and Chance, with Rob thrown in like the cherry on the top. Happy Birthday/week Brad. Hi Emily. btw, if you like Austin you are gonna love Moonshine, their latest.
Many years ago a friend had me sit in his audio room. He was seriously into the sound, and mainly bought master records (vinyl not digital). His room was ONLY for audience of one. I was the one that time. He sat behind in another chair and controlled what was playing. The speakers were arranged in a semi circle. When the recording was of the correct type, I could close my eyes and point at each instrument and know how far away it was. But some sounds seemed to come from outside the out most speaker. Awesome. I would love to have a live recording of Home Free with that kind of pickup so I could (with the proper head set) point at each of them and know which sound came from who.
I was sitting here just waiting.... Then Tim did it again. He had someone's jaw on the floor. Then Chance did. Yep Awesome talent here. When you get the chance, I'd like to see your lady's (and your's of course, I'm enjoying these reactions) reaction to their original Catch Me if You Can and Do You Hear What I Hear please? Thank you! ^_^
You should have Emily on more.... It's so awesome to see you geek out showing her amazing accapella stuff. It's kinda the reason most people watch reaction videos, the experience of sharing someone's ""first time" so we can relive that moment
Emily has a great voice as well, thank you for reacting together. If she'd like to see more of Tim's range, and Home Free's trademark humour, look for a concert version of Josh Turner's Your Man - they have quite a lot of fun with that one.
Chance was the bass singer for the a cappella group, Street Corner Symphony before joining Home Free. He’s listed as a baritone for Home Free, but can definitely do both baritone and bass.
You need to watch a live version of their arrangement for Your Man, NOT the official video but a concert video. Tim goes low, high, low, lower.... it's crazy.
4:10 the low notes are being sung by Chance. Tim is strictly Alto/Tenor in this song. If you want massive range with deep bass check out Geoff Castellucci 16 Tons or any of his other multi part solo videos.
Home Free, perfection. I can not have a favourite amongst these guys, cause all their voices go straight to my heart in anything they do. And they are equally amazing in every concert as well. They choose all the good songs, and they are funny. What more can you want, just hoping everyone can see how great they are.
New sub to you guys also had a birthday on the 18th .... just found you today and had you subbed before I was even into the song ... Welcome to home fries land ... the silent majority of acapella !!!
YES! That’s what I said… beautiful hair. It’s in a long list of beautiful things about this band, but worth pointing out from a female perspective. We notice everything… the look, the confidence, the talent, the connection with song and audience, the performance, the feeling. Home Free has it all. Aren’t we lucky to be able to find these diamonds in the rough? They delight me every time.
The thing that bends my mind is at the end of the song when Rob (lovely beard man) is singing "You are overbearing, I'm not in love, I don't wanna tell you" behind the chorus, from the second time to the fade out, Tim is harmonizing OVER THE TOP of Rob...and it sounds amazing!!
Hahaha....Home Freakin Amazing is right! Such a fun reaction. Listen to Folsom Prison Blues to hear Tim go low again. They are killing it. And btw, they were on a boat/ship for MayDay since it’s about a ship’s distress call. Love them and please keep reacting!
I grew up with a deaf best friend so I learned @ a very young age to pay attention to body language, I sing as well. If you watch their body movements (especially Tim's hands) you will know exactly where their voice is going. Much like watching the beat boxer. He makes the movements along with the sounds. Yes, they have stunning voices, yet I can watch a video with no sound & feel every moment. Im Hearing, but super Blessed to be in the Deaf community. I think people miss so much relying on only 1 sense.
You HAVE to check out Tim Foust solo cover of Elvis, I Can’t Help Falling In Love. It’s only audio but it’s so beautiful and just shows off his amazing pipes even more 🥰
If you really want to show off one person’s range, show her VoicePlay’s cover of “Oogie Boogie’s Song” from “Nightmares Before Christmas”! Geoff Castellucci covers five octaves in a matter of seconds at the end. And watch it with captions on!
People get caught up in "parts" so to speak. In quartets and quintets or nearly any music ensemble it is quite common for the vocals to criss cross each other. A quartet is 4 part harmonies. Typically it is Tenor, Lead, Baritone and Bass. Here you have the same but with Adam Rupp providing percussion( a fifth member). It's common for Lead to sing above the Tenor, Baritone above the Lead, Bass above the Baritone. You get a real good example of this with most "Barbershop" style quartet songs. Home Free is made of extremely good individual members. Each one of them are all talented and have excellent voice control. As a group they have managed to hone their ability to blend with each other to create the awesome sound that you hear in everything they sing. Songs like this are usually used to really "highlight" a persons capabilities. But in the case of Home Free, every member has outstanding capabilities and as a group they've become so on point with each other and how they support whoever is singing Lead. They truly are an amazingly talented group!
Mayday! Mayday! You've got me here in disbelief! Mayday! Mayday! You've made all my words leave! Not lyin' here, you've made my day! And now I'm calling Mayday...
Awesome video! Go Jags!!!!!! (Just messin’ with ya) since you’ve got the Yotans hat on. Although I am kinda hoping your Titans win this Sunday. It’s hard to say that, but I want Trevor Lawrence and a new coaching staff, only retaining Gruden and McCardell. Anyways, I love this video and Home Free.
Maybe you should do a reaction, with Emily, of Tim performing Can't Help Falling In Love while he accompanies himself on the piano. It is audio only, but that enhances the effect IMO. In that performance he doesn't go as high as in this video, nor as low as she has heard before, but it demonstrates his control & range. Besides that, it's a beautiful song for lovers.
nice reaction. this one blew my mind the first time I listened to it. I thought for a min.....what??? Did they dub Austin or Rob over him?? Wasn't until the second time watching it, that I realized it was Tim. So impressive. You should show her the video of Tim's Range.
I Am brand new to your channel love you both. I will dig deeper been have you seen their live performance where Adam Rupp does a drum solo? by the way they areAustin live! And so much fun!
Check out their cover of Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On(Ed Sheeran/Marvin Gaye) mashup. You'll be blown away by Tim's range. Then check out Tim's solo of Can't Help Falling In Love. Also, check out Home Free's older videos like Your Man, Hunter Hayes Medley, Honey I'm Good, Summer In The Country, California Country, 19 You & Me featuring Peter Hollens(both the versions on Peter's & Home Free's channels), Die A Happy Man, Country Roads, I Can't Outrun You
When she expressed her awe over how people can sing with such range, I instantly thought, 'Oh, imagine what she would think of Dimash. I wonder if Brad knows of him?' ...and sure enough, there it is the day after ;~) Going to watch that one now.
I know there are plenty of talented A Capella groups, PTX included, but I consider Home Free the super group of A Capella music!! I was a little surprised that Emily didn’t really seem surprised by Tim singing tenor, at first. Then I realized she was just in disbelief that it was Tim. lol She was taken aback by Chance singing low, though, which is equally shocking when someone sees it the first time! Brad, please explain the “Party Bernard” reference. I must have missed something somewhere. Love both of your shirts, btw!
So I'm not sure if you still read comments on older videos but, you had mentioned about Ring of Fire.. if you're referring to the "official"original video of it, Avi Kaplan was actually the one who sings the low end during that edition
Happy Birthday, Brad! If Emily wants to see his full range done all in one song here's a live fan video of Your Man ruclips.net/video/4srGq0oX2XI/видео.html Or here's another fan video at Tim's annual birthday bash, singing with his wife and friends to Stand By Me, where Tim covers every range. ruclips.net/video/oIbzHwb3OXM/видео.html
LMAO at Emily's reaction to Chance's low notes, especially the "Foghorn" note. Her reaction from 6:50 to 7:00 was hilarious when she really reacted to Chance's foghorn note.
Ok, you want the full range of Tim Foust. You need to here these two songs by Peter Hollens feat. Tim Foust (The Sound of Silence) and ( Misty Mountains ). You will get the full range of Tim Foust.
Both y'all gotta react to when Tim blow out a speaker system! (headphones preferred) ruclips.net/video/cXU_xd3EtdI/видео.html Start around the 8:30 mark.
Yes, they are 5 unicorns in the same group. Any of them could be a solo artist, but together... pure magic.
i'd love someday to see all ten - or even fifteen - unicorns collaborate. Whew!
Beautifully said!!!! 5 Rare, beautiful 🦄 unicorns, that we have had the blessed gift of being able to listen to! Mozart, Tesla, Einstein, DaVinci, Shakespeare all walked into a room...

Nice
Dam right!! Agreed they all stunning in their own but together they are insanely beautiful

Tim actually ha a 10 octave range. That’s insane
I found out that this info is incorrect. He has 5 but, not at 10 yet. Another singer named Tim is the 10 octave singer. I stand corrected
From what I’ve herd when Chance joined the group Tim has had more opportunities as lead in songs
@@Rune-Thorne I would say his natural singing range is G1-A5. my natural singing range without all those techniques is A1-G#5. my full range B0-C6.
The one person you missed in your review was Adam's unbelievable beat boxing in Mayday, which is one of the best drum rhythm arrangements they have done to date. I believe you may have overlooked it because it was so natural to the song's background, you forget that it was Adam instead of actual drums.
That's true. I was impressed that I got deceived by Adam on thinking the drums were real and not from him.
When Adam Rupp isn't beatboxing, he sings tenor. He can go falsetto that almost sounds like a counter-tenor. crazy group. My favorite.
I can’t find anything where he sings.
@@dtktrucker Traditional hymns that don't call for beatboxing, like "How Great Thou Art." He doesn't sing lead for more than a couple of lines.
Show her man of constant sorrow.😂 Really flip her out
An they are soaking wet eye candy.
Yesss...
Man of constant sorrow, oh yes! Harmonica and Jew harp, so fun! I am a new home fry, because I saw the breakdown by Chris Rupp, of the

Or "All about that bass", it's also a really suprise, what they pull up in that song.
Do the sing off version of ring of fire for more fun going both low and high
If you got a problem believing his range, try Dimash. Your eyes will be opened...
I agree... quite a bit early. It helps she has an understanding of vocals, though.
in a live concert Tim Foust blew the speakers with his low voice
It's like Tim woke up and said, "I'm going to be a tenor today". And then they all just kind of switched parts. They're all amazing and versatile. If you want to hear a good Tim display (not breathing fire, but showing off his range), check out his "Can't help falling in love" cover. Great runs and beautiful timbre in his voice on that song.
He calls himself a Baritone with a Bass range. But when you own a 5 octave range, you can call yourself anything.
Very true but Tim is truly a basso profundo with an amazing upper range.
Tim is a mutant with a 5 octave range. Austin is an amazing Georgia boy. Rob (beard) also has a great voice. (Adam) Chance is the newest member and also has an amazing range. I thought he had an 8 octave range
Love Adam's voice, it's wonderful, pure and sound like a angel.
It definitely do be him!

Greensleeves with Peter Hollens and Tim Faust is another where Tim sings high and low. Beautiful song!
Have her listen to Peter Hollins Misty Mountains featuring Tim Foust!!
Oh MY GOD YES!!!!!! I would LOVE to see her reaction to that.....and.... that dang ending.
Must use headphones 🎧

You two should react to their little red riding hood live performance! Tim sings a solo and showcases his range!
that one is so funny because it was done at their Patreon party and everyone was bit lit.
Absolutely love the reactions you guys are doing together
Did you notice at the end when austin was singing the maydays and Rob was singing the sub chorus that the high harmonies above Rob was Tim also
Happy Birthday Brad . Loved the reactions.#BradicalBandwagon

Been waiting for this
Emily's reactions to Tim and Chance's abnormal sounds was fantastic. Yeah, Emily, they both are very versatile. Great Post, Brad. And Happy Birthday.
Chance was the bass singer for the a cappella group, Street Corner Symphony before joining Home Free. He’s listed as a baritone for Home Free, but can definitely do both baritone and bass.

When your most beautiful girlfriend Emily said, "Home freaking... " she found the words .
Ms. Emily somehow reminds me of Sarah from Walk Off the Earth ... haven't had a chance to see if you have seen or heard anything from them
7:25 The voice you hear singing above Rob is Tim, it's not Austin layered in.
Such a good team reacting. She's a keeper. More home free and more reactions as a team please.
Bass singing tenor, baritone deep bass. These guys are incredible.

Love the rain together! You both should watch Moonshine next and check out Chance's range!
Not sure if it has been said but at the end of the song it is Tim harmonizing with Robb singing just a bit higher than Rob is.
6:50 - His reaction to her reaction to Chance's bass cracks me up, like, "Wait for it..."
I grew up with a deaf best friend so I learned @ a very young age to pay attention to body language, I sing as well. Check out Tim doing stand by me with Austin and a whole host of others. It’s a long one but he really gets up there in that one.
Freaking amazing-Home Free and this duet reaction!❤
You HAVE to check out Tim Foust solo cover of Elvis, I Can’t Help Falling In Love. It’s only audio but it’s so beautiful and just shows off his amazing pipes even more 🥰
This is their “empty warehouse” phase 😄
Sounds like Emily is becoming a Home Fry
Happy Birthday 🎂
If you really want to show off one person’s range, show her VoicePlay’s cover of “Oogie Boogie’s Song” from “Nightmares Before Christmas”! Geoff Castellucci covers five octaves in a matter of seconds at the end. And watch it with captions on!
Agree with you Dennis. I've watched that about 100 times!
Lou F, don’t you love that low warble/rumble Geoff does after the line, “to add a little spice”?
Tim is just Incredible !!! And, he can go Much Higher !!! Of course, Austin is one Awesome Tenor !!! They’re ALL JUST INCREDIBLY AWESOME !!!!! 🙃❤️🙃‼️
I like that you sing in your videos!
Hi Brad and Emily!! The two of you have a great couple-vibe! Just wanted to tell you what I see. Cheers!

Happy Belated Birthday!
She was really shocked....Brad very cool video !!!!!
Have Emily listen to their "Butts melody Tim sings low in that

Have fun watching Tim and Austin cover B&D's My Maria... Tim shows his range very well in that video.
They just released a new video a few days ago called Moonshine!! You HAVE to check it out pronto!! Especially since you are an Austin fan!!!!
Home Free are an awesome group and always surprising you. By the way, love the hat.....Go Titans
Check out their cover of Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On(Ed Sheeran/Marvin Gaye) mashup. You'll be blown away by Tim's range. Then check out Tim's solo of Can't Help Falling In Love. Versatile is right. You need to check out 9 to 5 beatbox breakdown. Where ALL 5 guys have a beat box battle.
You need to check out Adam's beat box solo he is amazing
A big shout out to the producer and engineer, Darren Rust who was the baritone/bass for the Blenders!
When she expressed her awe over how people can sing with such range, I instantly thought, 'Oh, imagine what she would think of Dimash. I wonder if Brad knows of him?' ...and sure enough, there it is the day after ;~) Going to watch that one now.

I read in one of Home Free's statements that when Chance hit that low note he said it hurt....lol
It's insane how talented these Cats are! Insane!!!
Happy Birthday Brad
Tim says “I’ll be a tenor today”
In Home Free’s Mashup of Let’s get it on and Thinking out Loud, Tim uses his powerful voice in all ranges, Wow
Her reaction to the bass was priceless!😂🤣😂🤣
@Brad Steele you should react to "try everything" by home free that was like the first time chance was in the video
So I'm not sure if you still read comments on older videos but, you had mentioned about Ring of Fire.. if you're referring to the "official"original video of it, Avi Kaplan was actually the one who sings the low end during that edition

Tim's range! Josh Turner's Your Man!!!
Tim, Avi, and Geoff Castelucci all have really wide ranges, which they utilize beautifully.
LMAO at Emily's reaction to Chance's low notes, especially the "Foghorn" note. Her reaction from 6:50 to 7:00 was hilarious when she really reacted to Chance's foghorn note.
