Man, i love this band, saw them about 2 years ago, met pepper, bought the guy a beer, took some pics with him and my wife together. Dude is a straight legend! Been a fan of his since the beginning and will be a life long fan! To me, coc (with pepper) and down are two of the most underrated and influential bands of the 90s!
No bro they are definitely the sung heros they continue to be there are more of us out here who know the original plan of the era&who still live to loveit❤
I'm from COCs home town Raleigh NC. I've been a fan since the beginning when they were just Woody, Reed and Mike. I used to see them in the tiny bars and clubs in the area back in the mid 80s. I love all the lineups they've had over the years but I must say that this record is the "classic" sound. I've shed blood in the pit at their shows back when I was a high school kid. One of the most original hardcore/metal bands in my opinion. They're playing here January 28th and I can't wait!
eph1223 I'll be there to brother and can't fucking wait and I'm betting one of those tiny clubs you refer to is the brewery and I've seen them there also.
Lemmy is PURE ROCK AND ROLL and made me tear up the only time I seen him. You could feel his spirit and reverence. He said “ I never played in Atlanta, but I hope you like it! We ARE MOTÖRHEAD AND WE PLAY BLOODY ROCK AND ROLL!” Then rock-- RIP FELLAS
Its crazy i grew up listening to COC then playing them one day at work and my Manager (Chris Mullin) tells me the drummer is his Cousin! Sucks he passed away.
This song could last 2 hours and I’d still put it on repeat. Saw you guys at blue ridge rock festival and y’all killed it! You and Megadeth were my favorite shows !
I am with you fellows, glad Reed is well and playing his ass off. Reed is a good guy. I met him over 30 years ago when a hardcore band I was playing in at the time had the good fortune of being the support band for C.O.C., when they too were a hardcore band. Reed sold me a shirt for a dollar. He told me "Don't tell Mike or Woody" as he gave me the shirt. True story. Love the new record. So glad they are still kicking it.
Listened to CoC back in the 90's, and sad to say I completely forgot about them until today... Have to say I'm happy they are still going strong, Also holy shit I'm getting old...
Damn these guys still sound phenomenal. The lead singer must be in his 60s in this video and he can still sing extremely well. And he’s gotten a lot better on guitar.
I’ve listened to these guys since Pepper Keenan became the lead vocalist in COC. I love these guys and I’m glade that Corrosion Of Conformity is still making music today. I also really dig Down as well! Both are great bands but COC will always be one of my favorites!💪🏻🤘🏻
Triumphant return! So glad everyone's back in place where they should be. So cool they had the sense to realize they're strongest together, with this lineup. This is the most potent C.O.C to date. Love it!
Kevin Lewandowski 7 times I must admit I’m a bit jealous. Have a great time. I’m sure you will. I’ve been a fan for years but never really had a chance to see them live until clutch brought them. I’ve seen clutch 33 times.
Did not realize how much I was gonna love this album. I wasn’t expecting much but just got done with my second listen through of the entire album and quite honestly I’d put it up there with Blind and Deliverance. Great job guys
Just got my album today and this is probably my favorite song so far...Loving the slow instrumental songs to,,reminds me of deliverences instrumentals...
YEAH! C.O.C. bringing the swamp metal on back! Love this style of C.O.C. Still love the hell outa DELIVERANCE and Wiseblood was cool too. Glad they're still around
"In the Arms" was when they decided not to write nice choruses anymore. So like that did then, this leaves me cold. I was so stoked for Pepper to come back, but I'm not feeling it. :/
Hell Yeah this album is badass. Good ole Pepper riffs are fkn awsome Can't wait to see them in Nashville on the 18th with Zakk Last year was awsome with Clutch Wish that COC would have crowbar and down along with zakk filling in with pantera guys would be a great show

Shadowed truth never tries to hide
An inconvenient pride
Builds abundant supplies
As the Puritan dies
The attrition machine
Builds a new guillotine
And in the place of its birth
Breeds a new Nazarene
Grind down the iron gears
Plunge the pike, work, work
With extinct human skills
Nevermore can you choose
Now oppressor resistor
You've got nothing to lose
With a noble existence
Forged through heart and through hand
This machine has burned down
The ever providing man
Grind down the iron gears
Plunge the pike, work, work
A distant wind breeds fire
Burning tall
Preaching to the choir
The lost retain control
Oh, burn 'em down
Now hungry for oblivion
What have the powerful become
Piles of flesh, greed and sin
Devoured by the teeth of angry laymen
Plunging the knife
In this black industry
A humbled rebirth
The green Earth now remains free
Grind down the iron gears
Plunge the pike, work, work
Grind down the iron gears
Plunge the pike, work, work
A distant wind breeds fire
Burning tall
Preaching to the choir
The lost retain control

That tone never gets old, love this
Wise-Deliverance-Blood!
Nah. Sounds more like a continuation of In the Arms, which isn't a bad thing.
"In the Arms" was when they decided not to write nice choruses anymore. So like that did then, this leaves me cold. I was so stoked for Pepper to come back, but I'm not feeling it. :/
