ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE
From renowned Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order" brand) and co-creator Derek Haas, the writer behind "3:10 to Yuma," comes Season 8 of "Chicago Fire." The family inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other. Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) leads the Truck Company and brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) runs the Rescue Squad. The firehouse also includes Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a fireman's fireman. Paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) returns alongside seasoned veteran Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Randy "Mouch" McHolland (Christian Stolte), as well as resourceful firefighter Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo). I am not sure I understand why we need to know reasons 1 and 5 as Gorch and Naomi are gone. But there are some things we would like to know. The obvious ones are; does Brett decide to call off her engagement and do Casey and Brett become a thing? Only 5 days until we find out.

Well, This will spoil things a little. I checked ahead on my TV guide and read for 8x02 "Brett realizes life in Fowlerton will take some getting used to". So the bad news is that it looks like she moves back to Indiana with the Chaplin after all. But the good news is that I think it's only temporary. I think he'll realize she missed Chicago and come back later on. After all, she's still a main cast member and the show is called Chicago Fire, not Chicago/Fowlerton Fire.
They have to make moves like this every now again to give us something to watch and wait for her to come back. She found herself in Chicago. Said so in season 3 or 4.

@@NickyD Why is it a zero chance? NBC is literally aboiut to start their own streaming service. At this point when they're(I'm guessing) about 6 months from launching the service put the shows on Netflix so they can't use the shows on their own service for about 2 years?

Dawson has been gone since the end of Season 6 or first part of Season 7 if mind serves me right. What exactly makes you think her and Casey are going to get back together? I want to see Casey and Brett as much as the rest of the viewers do.
I jumped for joy when Dawson left. She never respected Matt or anyone else for that fact. He even said that to her during a fight in season 4.
