20. With 16 locks in 6miles not many Narrowboaters go to Aylesbury but it's a hidden gem.

Continuing our journey around the Thames ring we make a dash up the Aylesbury arm which has 16 narrow locks in 6 miles, have a cuppa and then turn around and head south, was it worth it?

I used to live in Aylesbury and never thought much it although some of the pubs in the surrounding countryside were lovely. We’ve got friends around so I guess we might attempt it once we’re down that way although it sounds like alot of effort!

Lovely to see the Aylesbury Arm. We holidayed down there in 2021. You didn't show the "sea of reeds" which felt almost unpassable - is it still there or have CRT cut it back? The best thing about Aylesbury was the cinema. Talk about a lot of locks. We did about 70 in a week going there and back to Wyvern Boats.

Thanks guys, that was a lovely vlog. It must be very demoralising getting dive bombed after you’ve just cleaned the boat 😂. Well done for taking us down to Aylesbury, like you said, not many boats go down there. I think I’ve only seen one of the channels I watch do it. The basin looked pleasant, shame it didn’t have the old character buildings though. You came up trumps with the end mooring 👍 have a great weekend, give the dogs a hug from me
