Wagner Paint Eater Review!! Bus Conversion Roof Sealing Step 2/5

I'm putting my new Wagner paint eater to the test. It's step 2/5 on our bus conversion roof sealing project...the old sealant between roof panels has got to go! If you're looking for a way to remove paint from metal without damaging the surface underneath, this video is for you!

Have your layout plans changed now that your not planning on living in it?

@rpracingproducts That's a good question. Our bus was shipped professionally to our new home in South Georgia. And we have other family members coming to live with us...it's a troubling time in our country right now, and we are focused on being away from city areas. The bus will become a home on our property. The layout might stay the same because it needs to function as a fully-equipped home. If the nation settles down, we might take the bus on the road. For now...it will be a home here in a very rural new space. 🚌

Your bus looks so good! Glad you are getting back into it! I need to seal the roof of mine but I’m so afraid to get up there. It’s super rusty. What is the deal with those covers? Are they emergency exits? (Also I love that you are using your mom’s gardening gloves 🥰)

@Janet Harvey Hey! The old covers are emergency hatches, and we purchased replacements that are simple and should be relatively easy to install. Ha! Of course, we have moved...the bus is with us in South Georgia...and I haven't been able to get up there to put the new ones in yet! I need a handful of days without rain. But it will happen soon! I want to enjoy the work and not feel upset about how long it's taking. It's such a gift to have a bus to work on. 🙏💕

Does Wegner paint eater better at removing paint than angle grinder?

@nursecuenca I haven't tried to use the angle grinder for paint removal. I will say that the Wagner tool is more comfortable for me to hold for long periods than the angle grinder tool we have.
