I enjoy the first impression videos, but I prefer the "I have been wearing this for 2-3 weeks, and these are my thoughts" style of video, because being on a budget, that is what will determine what I will go out and purchase. Thank you for your great content.

I have purchased a few foundations that seem wonderful when I first apply them, but have either worn off after a few hours, become patchy, or have oxidized, etc. Only time and consistent wearing really indicates the truth of how a product wears and holds up. I do like first impressions… buuuut I think doing full wear tests over a few weeks or so gives us more of a true and developed opinion on the product. Even then products will still vary person to person, but I think that’s more reliable. Im sure I’m not the only one that has loved something right when I put it on or even the first hour but then hours later I’m like what is happening on my face 😅 LOLLL
I absolutely loved how you referenced habit stacking by suggesting to wash your brushes after brushing your teeth! They sound similar in the brain and it would be easy to remember doing together. Healthy habits!❤

I am in LOVE with SO many Fenty products! Just recently picked up her new hair care line and it’s fantastic! One of my all time fav products that I rarely hear people talk about is that loose powder( so happy to hear you mention it😊) . I’ve been using it for years in the lavender shade. I don’t know what magic is in this powder but it smooths and brightens my under eye like no other. I have normal to dry skin and I don’t use a lot of powder but this one is magic!!! I’ve tried a lot of powders over the years but this remains number one 🥳💗 Thanks for sharing your favs with us! Xo 🇨🇦

Hi! I don’t wet wash my brushes after each use. I dry clean them. Wet wash once every few weeks. I use IT cosmetics dry brush cleaner. Love it! I would sit and listen to you read the extinct phone book! 🤣 I prefer videos of first impressions but with knowledge of the product itself. For foundation I’d love an update in the description box of how it wore all day. But either way you do it I’ll watch!! 💗💗💗

I love steals and deals in general but sooooo much more if your brushes are gonna be on there, I’ve already purchased 1 Angie hot n flashy set with the concealer brush 2 x extras, one hooded eyeshadow set, 2 Nikki la rose sets, 1 large buffer and round foundation, 1 essentials brush set, 1 holy grail set off tik tok, and 1 extra n17. So I am all in on bk beauty brushes. I will definitely be getting backup and backups to my backups, lol. Three other things I want to thank you for all your honest videos which I know takes a whole lot of your precious time. I also want the thank you for your generous discount for veterans, and wanted to know if there are any eyelashes in the works that do not need glue, you just place them on and go.

As for what I prefer, I have to say I agree with others who've said that, while genuine first impressions are interesting & even fun, I find it's most valuable to me to get your thoughts and tips after you've used the product(s) at least a few times. Also, I hate it when creators act like they haven't tried a product but then they say things, maybe unintentionally, that suggest they really have. (Not something I've noticed you doing, but it's a thing.) Then it feels like a secret sales pitch or an undisclosed sponsorship, even if it isn't. It's fine to use a product and, if you like it, share it with us! If you don't like it, it can still be good info bc you're always thoughtful about how it might be good for others with, say, different skin types or preferences. ❤

First reactions are fun but for me I want to know your views after wearing each item long wear meaning wearing a few times but throughout the whole day in humid weather, needing to know if it melts off your face and also just the wear of each product overall, this helps me know if I want to invest in the product. Lisa, thanks for all your work on your channel and for inquiring about our preference for how to provide expert feedback on products. I benefit from both first impressions and then feedback based on research and actual testing. A concern that I have about first impressions from many content owners is that they seem not to be fully honest. I often hear them try to balance out their initial negative feedback, so that they don't offend anyone. Of course, this is a VERY thoughtful way to be sensitive to the feelings and experiences of others, and this helps to keep viewers engaged in this valuable mode of communication, but there tends to be too much "moderation" in feedback vs true honest opinion. Thus, initial impressions are very interesting but should be followed up with additional feedback based on actual longer term experience when perhaps content owners don't feel they have to be guarded about negative impressions. I always appreciate direct and honest feedback because it helps me make wise choices about potential purchases. A question I have about the Fenty content from today: is there a reason you did not use a Fenty lip liner? I believe they are actually one of Fenty's well-liked products. I, myself, have enjoyed the texture and array of shades and was curious about your thoughts on them. Thanks again for all your great work. I always look forward to listening in.

A beautiful look Lisa. I think it's most helpful when a review is done after testing the product. Something you didn't like immediately, you may like after using several times and visa versa. Your opinion carries a lot of weight with most of us so please test first before reviewing.
I am with you regarding the Puppy Eyez....loved the color; however, it ran out within a month - and I do not use it daily. I bought a second one during the Sephora sale and same thing - did not last even a month. :((( The formula was great, but there is really not much product in the package, so it is a no for me going forward. I am hoping they update/change the packaging, and then it is a yes because I love the formula and color. I also have the palette you used today, and I love those colors as well....definitely my go-to -and I refuse to buy those large palettes - but I was just going to look to see if anyone had done a tutorial on it, and when I clicked on the video, you used the palette today!! - looks gorgeous on you, so thank you for doing this video. I prefer first reactions to new products because they are your immediate thoughts, and then come back and tell us how the products have been working out, like an end of the month summary on all the new products you have tried.
For a full brand review, I prefer a fully developed opinion. If you’re trying new products from lots of brands (ie. haul), I like first impressions. Maybe a speed reviews updated opinion after you’ve tried for a while.

Beautiful, classy look as always Lisa. My two cents is I don't mind 1st impressions as long as I TRUST the person the opinion is coming from. If the creator is always goo-goo-gaw-gaw over every product, it feels misleading & unathentic. But there is also something to be said about the person wearing & living in the product- giving an honest review of the performance. So they both have their place.
Always love your makeup looks. Definitely my aesthetic! I like both first impressions videos and like to hear about wear tests. Sorry, that ‘s not really helpful.
I like videos that have both. I like to know gut reaction and then at the end add in a segment with your opinion after using the product for several day.
I prefer to know how the products wear. A good combo is showing the first application and then doing a check-in at the end of the day to show how the products last. Does the mascara flake or run? Does the foundation oxidize? Does the blush fade? Etc. Thanks, Lisa!

First reactions are fun but for me I want to know your views after wearing each item long wear meaning wearing a few times but throughout the whole day in humid weather, needing to know if it melts off your face and also just the wear of each product overall, this helps me know if I want to invest in the product. Lisa, thanks for all your work on your channel and for inquiring about our preference for how to provide expert feedback on products. I benefit from both first impressions and then feedback based on research and actual testing. A concern that I have about first impressions from many content owners is that they seem not to be fully honest. I often hear them try to balance out their initial negative feedback, so that they don't offend anyone. Of course, this is a VERY thoughtful way to be sensitive to the feelings and experiences of others, and this helps to keep viewers engaged in this valuable mode of communication, but there tends to be too much "moderation" in feedback vs true honest opinion. Thus, initial impressions are very interesting but should be followed up with additional feedback based on actual longer term experience when perhaps content owners don't feel they have to be guarded about negative impressions. I always appreciate direct and honest feedback because it helps me make wise choices about potential purchases. A question I have about the Fenty content from today: is there a reason you did not use a Fenty lip liner? I believe they are actually one of Fenty's well-liked products. I, myself, have enjoyed the texture and array of shades and was curious about your thoughts on them. Thanks again for all your great work. I always look forward to listening in.

A beautiful look Lisa. I think it's most helpful when a review is done after testing the product. Something you didn't like immediately, you may like after using several times and visa versa. Your opinion carries a lot of weight with most of us so please test first before reviewing.

I am with you regarding the Puppy Eyez....loved the color; however, it ran out within a month - and I do not use it daily. I bought a second one during the Sephora sale and same thing - did not last even a month. :((( The formula was great, but there is really not much product in the package, so it is a no for me going forward. I am hoping they update/change the packaging, and then it is a yes because I love the formula and color. I also have the palette you used today, and I love those colors as well....definitely my go-to -and I refuse to buy those large palettes - but I was just going to look to see if anyone had done a tutorial on it, and when I clicked on the video, you used the palette today!! - looks gorgeous on you, so thank you for doing this video. I prefer first reactions to new products because they are your immediate thoughts, and then come back and tell us how the products have been working out, like an end of the month summary on all the new products you have tried.
For a full brand review, I prefer a fully developed opinion. If you’re trying new products from lots of brands (ie. haul), I like first impressions. Maybe a speed reviews updated opinion after you’ve tried for a while.

Beautiful, classy look as always Lisa. My two cents is I don't mind 1st impressions as long as I TRUST the person the opinion is coming from. If the creator is always goo-goo-gaw-gaw over every product, it feels misleading & unathentic. But there is also something to be said about the person wearing & living in the product- giving an honest review of the performance. So they both have their place.

I like videos that have both. I like to know gut reaction and then at the end add in a segment with your opinion after using the product for several day.

I prefer to know how the products wear. A good combo is showing the first application and then doing a check-in at the end of the day to show how the products last. Does the mascara flake or run? Does the foundation oxidize? Does the blush fade? Etc. Thanks, Lisa!
