Lots of negative comments from tesla owners. I wonder why? I owned a Tesla for 3 years. During the first year I had it at the workshop for warranty problems no less than 3 times. Second year, they had to come and fix it with their mobile car repair thing. I sold it and got the ariya. No regrets. Ariya drives so much quiter, so much better quality, much better driving experience. One funny thing with teslas is that if you look for misaligned plates, doors or trunks, you will almost always find it. Such is the quality of Tesla. Oh, by the way, a year of ariya ownership - 0 workshop visits, 0 warranty issues. I can of course understand that some people need the larger trunk space in the MY and if you do loads of road trips, the faster DC charging will save you 15 minutes here and there.
I just bought one, slightly more upgraded model. I think your video is spot on. I think it's great for the price. I wanted roominess, quietness, and comfort -- so this was the right choice for me. I just test drove one today and I loved it! I have the Chevy Bolt EUV and love it but want something bigger and longer range for road trips. This Ariya is like a dream on our test drive and I assume get good range and be able to use any charge stations with a Tesla adapter if necessary. So in real life how do you like yours? Thanks!
@@bubba1984 I'm 6'1 and took one for a test drive last week. I like to sit far back and it's more than comfortable. But I have kids and they love to kick my seat. It's only 37.0 inches of rear legroom so I sat closer to the steering wheel. My right knee was cramped hitting the dash.

I love my Ariya. I basically had no choice in the model in our small town. The dealer had 1 lol, 65kW Ariya engage, and it works fine. Very practical car for most people. The 2026 version is going to be amazing.
I test drove the Model Y at Long Beach Tesla, but I didn't like the interior design and found the ride harsh. I then stopped by Cerritos Nissan and test drove the Ariya, which sold me on the spot. Model Y are everywhere and wanted something different. I picked the Ariya Platinum+ because of its luxurious interior and a smooth ride, like Lexus. The suspension is excellent, making bumps barely noticeable, and it's very quiet. The seats are super comfortable with Napa leather, and the infotainment dash design is similar to BMW or Mercedes. Although it doesn't have Tesla's power, I don't need a lot of speed, and the torque is more than enough for me. It has 389 hp and 412 lb-ft or torque. Plus, the ProPilot 2.0 feature is great, allowing the car to park itself. The lease deal is also fantastic at just $370 (including tax 9.5%) a month with no money down as in zero drive off.
No doubt the Ariya is one of the best. However, charging network is no comparison to that of Tesla. Not to mention the Full self driving experience only offered by Tesla.
I just love your subjective views on EV's, great to here a Tesla owner review cars without any prejudice, but also letting the public know the differences! Always a great channel to drop by for a view of the latest content!
He is NOT subjective. Lots of FALSE information provided, things that don't even make sense such as: How is not having a frunk increase the interior space? That makes no logical sense. All EV's that have a frunk have the same things under the frunk area as the Ariya. You stated that Nissan put the AC unit in the front so to give you more interior space??? WHAT??? Wow. People make up anything these days.... While the Ariya and Model Y are both classified as compact electric SUVs, they differ in size. The Model Y has a wheelbase that’s 113.8 inches long, is 187 inches long, 75.6 inches wide, and 63.9 inches tall. In comparison, the Ariya has a wheelbase that’s 4.5 inches shorter, is five inches shorter in length, roughly one inch shorter in width, and is 1.5 inches taller. From CarsDirect: With its larger body, the Model Y shines as the better choice for maximum cargo space. The Model Y offers up to 30.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and a total of 76.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. The smaller Ariya doesn’t have the same cargo capacity. It offers up to 22.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and a total of 59.7 cubic feet of cargo space. The Ariya has one of the smaller cargo areas in the class. From InsideEV: The $58,950 Ariya Platinum+ AWD has an estimated range of just 265 miles compared to the $58,990 Model Y Long Range's 330-mile range. Nissan estimates the front-wheel-drive Ariya will have up to 300 miles of range. So if you are FAIRLY comparing vehicles, compare the range of the the AWD Dual Motor Model Y Long Range of 330 miles vs the AWD Ariya that has 65 miles LESS range.... Also the Warranty that Nissan gives is way behind Tesla. Why make stuff up? If you are comparing FAIRLY, then be FAIR.... Disingenuous reporting... There's NO need to do that. It tarnishes your reputation. I enjoy watching your video's, but now I have to fact check everything you say.
@@TeufelHundI've owned a Tesla Y for 3 years now and I can tell you that the 330 miles range is nowhere close to reality. The max range is only a consideration for road trips, mostly on highways. I've burnt through 50% of the Tesla Y battery charge in 100 miles of driving. The 300 number looks nice on the monitor but it is not representative of the actual range.
I went to check out the model Y before I got this and happy I chose the Nissan. Me and my wife agreed the Model Y was so boring looking. No buttons, no contrast colors or anything special. Just a big screen and that’s it. I got mine in a great deal. It was used as a corporate car by a Nissan dealership with 6900 miles from 2023. It has the upgraded interior but no sun roof. It is really spacious inside and looks big on the outside and bigger than the model Y from the inside. I really don’t care any range because for one anywhere you go ANY ev will tell you when you need to charge so it’s fake if you hear about someone getting stuck in the middle of no where because an ev will let anyone know when they are running low as they enter their destination, but second I have a level 2 charger at home so I can charge at home anytime and set it and forget it
We had an EV Fair in my city and I got to test this vehicle out. I love JDM and was pleasantly surprised with this Nissan. There’s an option where there’s a camera in front of the steering wheel and as long as you’re looking at the road, it drives itself. Pretty crazy on the interstate. I tested this, the Mustang Mach-E, Tesla Model 3, X and Y, the F-150 Lightning, Cadillac Lyriq, BMW iX and the Porsche Taycan GTS. Crazy how far along EV’s have came. I love that torque. Just straight acceleration with no gear changes. Something everyone should experience. All these EV’s were crazy fast. Tbh, the Tesla looked pretty bland compared to the other EV’s but they do have a wide network and their app is far superior. If only getting maintenance done on a Tesla is more efficient with less wait times for service, and the panel gaps, I might consider. I’ll wait a little longer to see how other automakers catch up to Tesla.
Just rented one of these for 3 days through Turo for a trip to Vermont and was able to compare it to my MYP. Have to say I was very unimpressed. After initially thinking there were some very innovative solutions in the interior, and the cooled seats were nice to have again after my Macan turbo, it quickly lost points with silliness. The touch interfaces required multiple “touches”, the moving center console is a gimmick that you use once, the stereo is crap, the CarPlay froze multiple times, the actual range was barely 180-200 miles, the rear view mirror camera nearly gave me vertigo, for nearly 400hp it did not feel fast at all (although I may be spoiled since I have an MYP and a 911). Positives were that the seats were very comfortable, the displays were crisp and beautiful, it was VERY quiet inside and the ride was fantastic.
If you drive the car like your own, you will get 300+ miles per charge. My AWD Platinum Ariya does that. After driving for a month now, I haven't seen any of the problem you mentioned above.
The main issue that I have with the Ariya is no roof rails. You will never talk me into mounting crossbars in the door jams and watch the paint wear from constant movement. I would not trust that my kayaks to be safe and secure on a long trip. I also was not impressed with the regenerative braking or one pedal. However, in all fairness, I haven't found any manufacturer's regen system like the Genesis EVs. The Ariya is a great looking vehicle. But without roof rails, I can't call it an utility vehicle.
Given the range of EV’s out there this has to be one of the best….. yes it’s pricey and some of the features are a bit gimmicky but in the round this ticks more of the boxes for everyday needs than most in the sector. Everyone has an opinion 😂😊
Well every manufacturer I think has many different trim levels at different costs so it's difficult to say. I think It's competitive with the other brands. But you do get the tax credit unlike Hyundai, Kia, Nissan.
Your review was great. You hit most of the highlights. The nighttime driving is great, very bright. We have had the top of the line Ariya since March 23. It drives really nice but we really have to get used to it of course. It looks like they have moved the rearview camera up. Ours is just above the license plate. Much better in its new location. I found that the sunroof cover did very little to protect from heat. I hope they fix that in the future. I have to say, when buying a car I look at the service aspect of a car as 50% of the car. Just keep the dealerships in mind, ask to see the service areas and the service writer areas. Our is very disappointing.
And probably won't hold it's value very long either considering it is a Nissan. The company is not doing well financially and their dealers are practically giving cars away to anyone that can sign their name on it slotted dotted line.
the E-pedel does does bring you to a stop but not Quickly. Fantastic in traffic. It you touch the brake pedal it turns off at very slow speeds like around 15kmh. Don't touch brake will come to a stop on its own. If you come in to a 30kmh corner at 100kmh 60mph take foot off gas 50mtrs from corner with E pedel on you will need to push the gas a little to speed up a little as you will go around the corner slower than you wanted too. With cruise control turned on the car will speed up and even slow down to a stop when following traffic. Will take off again when car in front takes off. If you have you cruise control speed set at 120kmh in a 50 kmh zone. The car in front takes off as fast as it will go, you will take off a lot faster, chase it down and brake hard to stop behind it lol. If set at speed limit will be nice and gentle. I not Driven a Nissan Ariya. The Nissan ZE1 Leaf will do this.
When you said Elon sent in his spy birds to see if you were talking bad about Tesla, I just about fell out of my chair laughing 😂 I like the Ayria a lot, strictly based off of what I've seen in reviews. If the long range trim was priced closer to $40k, I'd be tempted to test drive it myself.
I have the same problem with the backseat seatbelt notification on my Nissan Kicks 2025 which has pretty much the same screens and tech as the Arya. I press ok and its gone but I will ask if they can disable that thing when I go for maintenance. Regarding Tesla, I hate them with a passion, I would never buy a Tesla car.
I had Audi’s in the past and when I took delivery of my Model Y performance 😊 I had to get used to the shifter on the colomn. I felt it was old school. But to parallel park manually, I find the Tesla way much easier and more secure. Other EV makers have adopted this as well. Now that GM, Ford and Rivian adopted the Tesla DC fast charging standard, will the Germans and Japanese do the same?
Went from a Model Y LR to the Ariya Evolve - no regrates, its a much more comfortable vehicle and yes, I have to spent a couple of more minutes more on charge stops when going on long trips, but not much... Thing is my Model Y usually started out charging up to 230kw for the first couple og minutes but soon after fell to 100-150kw and when hitting 40-50%, less than 100kw... The aryia stays above 100kw all the way to 80% for me .... Subjectively I'd say I on average spent maybe 5 to 10 minutes at most, more on a fast charge pr session,
7:26 so glad its awesome sunroof is fully electric as opposed to having a tiny hybrid engine or ropes opening it. 😂. I am glad though as opposed to hand opening.
As a current 2019 Leaf owner I liked the familiarity of the controls and layout. I liked the ride and feel during a few test drives. But overall it’s just not a good value with the charging time, lack of storage space, and overall price.
i bought the ariya 1 month ago , and i loved , very lovely to drive very confort bla bla bla..... i really love what i hate ? i got the engage model , i had no idea it does just 150 miles full charge . im over the charge point every single day.
@@BioniqBob Oh i got glasses, expensive ones, the glass doctor told me just last week they are pefectly fitting. But this monitor is just too small. The 52" in a Cadillac is just the right size. Now they have to put it in front of the driver. That would be perfect!
Thank you. Your comment at 13:58 "if this is a second or third car for just around town..." just killed the Ariya for me. I have a 2020 Leaf SL+ and it's perfect for just around town. I would like to have something I can use for day trips. The Leaf with Chademo just doesn't cut it. But, if the Ariya is the same then why get rid of my Leaf? I was just going to test drive the Ariya and an Ionic 5. I guess you just saved me a LOT of time! Thank you so much.
You failed to discuss the most important topic of 2023, which is IRA tax incentives. Because the Ariya is 95% japan, it gets zero tax credits. zero. Nissan said they should qualify in about 3 years. LOL.
About the breaks, you mentioned that it is regenerating when you hit it and feels like non stoping, what happens in an emergency will it stop immediately like all other cars?
Had a 2015 Tesla Model S for over 7 years and still can't get use to the start/stop button in my KIA EV6. As usual, another great review. P.S. I appreciate your constraint in making this review. It was a "momma said" if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all moment. :)
I understand that single pedal driving cars have had problems with brakes because the brakes hardly ever get used and can get a bit sticky when the driver does eventually try to use them. This Nissan car deals with that issue by making the driver have to use the brakes to stop.
the only negative I see is non-tinted rear seats or back windows... so you have that ridiculous shelf to block prying eyes... Since when do SUVs not come with tinted windows? Only big miss I see. That and the high price but they are now forced to lower the price via rebates 🙂
I have a vw westfalia suv with a radius of over 700 mls, sleeps 4 adults and an off the grid heatsystem that keeps the vehicle warm for at least 20 days at minus 25 degrees celcius.
Good Review! It’s interesting to me that in this Freeform media people tend to use attention grabbing headlines and I admit… it Worked!!! I just drove one today and it was incredible! I have a Bolt EUV which I love and I’m completely sold on EV’s but I want to trade in my CRV for something close to that size with as much range as possible. So far I have not found the Blazer to be available so this Ariya is a definite contender. The fun of buying a new car is in the test driving but there are non out there and I’ve got to make a decision in the next few months. Since you get to drive them all how do you rate this Ariya against the Blazer, Rivian, Ionic, Polestar or any of the other SUV’s out there? Thanks!!! And yes I agree, this is definitely NotJunk!
In late 2024, the Ariya is selling USED, with few miles, usually about 10-15k for well under $30k. Seems like a steal. Overpriced when new, but pretty interesting, used.
Remember, some folks don't have Elon on their Christmas card list, have 3 or more vehicles and need a run around for shorter trips and have a shit ton of money. Heck the Model Y ride is not great and sure the tech it behind vs Tesla but folks want other cars - me, I'd get an EOS Benz or even one of these if I had money to burn. My 2012 $5k Japanese built Leaf is perfect for our needs, the other cars in the fleet can take over for longer trips.
I LIKE IT! Definitely would consider for it's comfort and room, but only if the charging infrastructure was better for trips. Oh, and I would not be excited to lose FSD-BETA. The geek in me really enjoys it...
For us far-sighted people, the video rear view mirror is an almost literal pain because the focal point is so close. When you look in an actual mirror, you're not actually focusing on the mirror itself, you're focusing on what the mirror is looking at, usually the car behind you. But when you're looking at that same car in the video mirror, your eyes have to focus on something only eighteen inches away. For us older folks who don't have great focal length flexibility anymore, this is an irritant when our eyes have to go back and forth from relatively distant objects through the windshield, then the traffic behind which requires a close focus. At least with the Nissan, you can choose which you like.
Love this car, but you can't buy it, it's not availiable in USA...that's what Nissan dealer told me, they get 1-3 a year and they are gone in second...lol
So compared to a Tesla Model Y it has slower DC charging, slower AC charging, no frunk, no sentry mode, no dog/camp mode, no supercharger network, no direct buyer experience, no high tech app, it’s slower performance wise, less range and on top of all that it doesn’t qualify for the IRA tax credit… which means it costs significantly more than a model Y. Seems like junk to me.
They will have supercharging access if they jump into NACS like the others finally have, but still wont change their charging speed. The no-frunk to make more room part is a joke. If Tesla can stuff so much into a well-organized space to allow a frunk why can't Nisan? Retrofit
And who the fck puts a tiny menu in a mirror above the head ?! Needs to just consolidate everything into a single screen interface. Thats just terrible user experience
Well. The upside is far better build quality, higher quality material, less noise in the cabin, nicer drive on long road trips and larger seating space. Yes. I owned a Tesla for 3 years. I don't miss it.
In my review of this EV, I would not say it's junk, but I would also say it's nearly dead last when compared to Hyundai/Kia, Ford, Cadilac and VW models. I also found the Nissan Ariya HORRIBLE with its efficiency. I only drove the FWD version, so cannot speak to its speed, but it's just a bit faster than a Bolt. IMHO there's no comparison to a Tesla Model Y on almost every metric except for the fact that this has a binnacle display and physical buttons to push. Also, if an overly engineered secret storage cubby does it for you, then this is your vehicle. Yes, I'm a Tesla owner, but have driven a better EV product from just about every other manufacturer. I expected more from the Nissan being that they were the first to market with a mass-produced EV, the Leaf. I was so let down. :( I'm also a huge Nissan fan and LOVE the new "Z"!
I’m not going to compare to a model Y bc Nissan is giving it to me as lease for $318 a month no money down. And I’m not planing on doing road trips on this one. So definitely a good choice for me.
When I was in Japan about a year ago Nissan was marketing this it’s cool to see it in the States now. It looks good in person. Would I chose this over a Tesla,Ford, Chevy, Volvo or any other ev? I don’t know it’s better than the ID4 for sure. I would say the few fan boys of Nissan would get one, and someone who wants a normal car and not have a computer on wheels (Tesla) would be the market for it.
We're in the market for our first EV. I rode my coworkers Model Y and I thought it was interesting. After having a long discussion with my wife, she has let me know we're not considering Tesla. 😅 Our little cash purchase is not gonna make or break their bank but we can't stand Musk and his crazy butt. We havent even used X since he took over.
Jeezus, can we just make decisions based on "this makes sense for me" instead of "who represents this decision and how does it make me look at wine/book/writers club.
They have an engineering excuse for the frunk, but what about the trunk? Why can’t they have real usable space under the trunk? What did they replace the gas tank with? Also, the first few minutes of the video were very rough… I was getting motion sickness with your camera motion. Most of your videos are great, but you’ve had a few that have been a bit too quick for my poor brain.
What do you mean? 2022 Nissan financial results are relatively solid, growth of revenue, positive net income and cash flow. Credit rating is indeed junk but it was set before these results were published. So Nissan is not going away anytime soon
They did not do it for the space in the car. if you take a close look, Nissan has not yet figure out/ implemented a robust cooling/heating/HVAC system. There are bottles everywhere in the engine compartment area.
The Ariya is actually the best Japanese EV so far! Suzuki, Honda and Mazda suck a lot more at EVs than Nissan. Toyota also sucks a lot, but if they hold their promise of 1.5 mio EVs by 2026, they will maybe survive.

As a LEAF owner, I wanted perspective from that, not from a Tesla owner comparison. Why would anyone with a Tesla consider a Nissan, its always the other way around, just like Prius replaced by a Tesla, never the other direction. I wanted to know about the GOM, but I guess I have to find another Ariya review video.
I disagree with the more space than mode y comment - it’s just such a disappointing product honestly- they’ve had so much time to do it right and it sucks - I test drove it and was not impressed at all. The ac is weak and drive performance is lack luster. For the base model price I’d much rather a standard range model y
I wouldn’t buy this car because it’s a ‘NISSAN’. Remember when NISSAN screwed everyone over that bought the Leaf.? The batteries were [junk] and they knew it when they sold it. A year after ownership the owners could [not] get 40 miles of range on it. You don’t even see them on the road anymore. They’re all in the junkyard. Sorry NISSAN, you don’t get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression. I also wouldn’t buy this piece of junk because it doesn’t have a Frunk.

@@dmhlamI had the same experience on my Model 2 Long Range
I went to check out the model Y before I got this and happy I chose the Nissan. Me and my wife agreed the Model Y was so boring looking. No buttons, no contrast colors or anything special. Just a big screen and that’s it. I got mine in a great deal. It was used as a corporate car by a Nissan dealership with 6900 miles from 2023. It has the upgraded interior but no sun roof. It is really spacious inside and looks big on the outside and bigger than the model Y from the inside. I really don’t care any range because for one anywhere you go ANY ev will tell you when you need to charge so it’s fake if you hear about someone getting stuck in the middle of no where because an ev will let anyone know when they are running low as they enter their destination, but second I have a level 2 charger at home so I can charge at home anytime and set it and forget it
Here are the sunglasses I wore in this video, got a few messages about them: My Sunglasses: amzn.to/3Ku4Pwu
Honestly, I hardly ever use my MY frunk. Nevertheless, what the heck is all that stuff in Nissan's frunk area?!? Might as well have an ICE up there.
Yea I think they should just throw an engine it it too
Those ain't birds, they're Tesla flying bots disguised as birds.
I’ll wait a little longer to see how other automakers catch up to Tesla.
which cars did you enjoy the most?
The biggest problem with the Ariya is the price. There is nothing about it that makes it worth more than an Ioniq 5.
Well, for starters, it works everytime you want to use it. Unlike some other brand.
@@kajko6868 it's a Nissan, they're underwater and all their cars besides the gtr are accidents waiting to happen.
Well its not anymore
You shot yourself in your leadfoot with that last part about comfort and ride quality.😂
If you drive the car like your own, you will get 300+ miles per charge. My AWD Platinum Ariya does that. After driving for a month now, I haven't seen any of the problem you mentioned above.
You must have gotten the 63 kWh version or else you drive like shit if you only got 200 miles.
I own one and I love this car
Given the range of EV’s out there this has to be one of the best….. yes it’s pricey and some of the features are a bit gimmicky but in the round this ticks more of the boxes for everyday needs than most in the sector. Everyone has an opinion 😂😊
Ariya rides better and is way more comfortable and not cheap looking compared to tesla
Well every manufacturer I think has many different trim levels at different costs so it's difficult to say. I think It's competitive with the other brands. But you do get the tax credit unlike Hyundai, Kia, Nissan.
Ttttkmk

Good Job .... your video has been helpful indeed.... I drove one of those this morning and felt in love in the first sight
If the Ariya was $40k max it would be my favorite. It's just hard to get on board when it's such a horrible overall value.
Horrible overall value, lol. Really what planet are you from, plz get real and do compare side by side with the fridge on wheels aka. Tesla.
And probably won't hold it's value very long either considering it is a Nissan. The company is not doing well financially and their dealers are practically giving cars away to anyone that can sign their name on it slotted dotted line.
@@funnyguy1321 Nissan had record revenue in FY2023. Their profits doubled and they raised dividends too. They're doing fine.
the E-pedel does does bring you to a stop but not Quickly.
If the long range trim was priced closer to $40k, I'd be tempted to test drive it myself.
he sent his twitter birds ☺
I watch car videos all the time and they're all the same. This one has charisma my man; I laughed all the way through it- really, really well done.
Great, snappy review covering all things I would want to know. It’s like you read my mind!
Great video again. My son is turning in his rusty FJ Cruiser for a lease on the Ariya at $199/mo for 36 months and $0 down. Thank you.
But overall it’s just not a good value with the charging time, lack of storage space, and overall price.
i bought the ariya 1 month ago , and i loved , very lovely to drive very confort bla bla bla..... i really love
what i hate ? i got the engage model , i had no idea it does just 150 miles full charge .
im over the charge point every single day.
I just got a blue with charcoal interior I love it awd
Can i change the screen to a 24" 4K Monitor? I can not see anything on such small displays.
Glasses would be cheaper.
@@BioniqBob Oh i got glasses, expensive ones, the glass doctor told me just last week they are pefectly fitting. But this monitor is just too small.

That statement is stupid. I am always out of town in mine.
Ok I’m subscribed he said go. Ack to your super chargers and cult meetings ahahaha
Most hilarious review ever🤣😂! Fan now
You failed to discuss the most important topic of 2023, which is IRA tax incentives. Because the Ariya is 95% japan, it gets zero tax credits. zero. Nissan said they should qualify in about 3 years. LOL.
yea I've stopped mentioning that because it continually changes and will continue to change over the coming years
Wow 95% Japan means this vehicle will last for a long time.
About the breaks, you mentioned that it is regenerating when you hit it and feels like non stoping, what happens in an emergency will it stop immediately like all other cars?
If you hit it hard it triggers hydraulic breaks
Has sun shade , has buttons ,has Dash Has ventilated seats all positive
Had a 2015 Tesla Model S for over 7 years and still can't get use to the start/stop button in my KIA EV6. As usual, another great review.
P.S. I appreciate your constraint in making this review. It was a "momma said" if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all moment. :)
I love the Kia EV6.
Platinum version comes with cooled seats. I was like “really” lol, wish they add it as a standard.
1:06 the 400hp AWD here is 406L vs 850L, plus 120L trunk
Great information. Thank you.

Looks like the outcome of the Nisan leaf making love to a Kia EV6
#Ariya 😎👌with #e4ORCE🏆
In late 2024, the Ariya is selling USED, with few miles, usually about 10-15k for well under $30k. Seems like a steal. Overpriced when new, but pretty interesting, used.
Bench seat in the front would have been awesome.
I’m a fan of Elon Musk, but I’d take this over a Tesla.
Hello from Alabnia 🤣😬
Those are not storage area
“I got TWO gloveboxes”🤣
Big deal😙
Left glove and right glove
Remember, some folks don't have Elon on their Christmas card list, have 3 or more vehicles and need a run around for shorter trips and have a shit ton of money. Heck the Model Y ride is not great and sure the tech it behind vs Tesla but folks want other cars - me, I'd get an EOS Benz or even one of these if I had money to burn. My 2012 $5k Japanese built Leaf is perfect for our needs, the other cars in the fleet can take over for longer trips.
I believe that’s a taco tray not a second glove box
That's way better looking than most NISSAN cars.
I LIKE IT! Definitely would consider for it's comfort and room, but only if the charging infrastructure was better for trips. Oh, and I would not be excited to lose FSD-BETA. The geek in me really enjoys it...
you don't have to push button to put it in D, only in R
Too expensive for the size.. tried one few months ago. Still can’t beat my model y’s space and compartment and price.
Tesla owners will start an argument just because someone likes something else more.
Yo couldn’t be more wrong
I thought it was very quiet but they. has a bumpy suspension, unfortunately, and a bit of sideways oversteer..unfortunately...
definitely not junk
Pricing is out of whack and the resale will be poor. I'd love to love it but Nissan cannot keep half assing their commitment to EVs
so at what time and where are them cult meetings you mentioned ???? lol ...
Really like the rear view mirror/camera idea.
Love this car, but you can't buy it, it's not availiable in USA...that's what Nissan dealer told me, they get 1-3 a year and they are gone in second...lol
Why does the video sound like that things got a 4G63T on it
Great video 👍🏻
Can you test and review a BMW iX please - interested to hear you thoughts on it
eventually I will
So compared to a Tesla Model Y it has slower DC charging, slower AC charging, no frunk, no sentry mode, no dog/camp mode, no supercharger network, no direct buyer experience, no high tech app, it’s slower performance wise, less range and on top of all that it doesn’t qualify for the IRA tax credit… which means it costs significantly more than a model Y.

Love when companies say they didn't include a frunk so that they could give you more interior space but then it has no more interior space than a MY.
I think it looks good but the interior screens on the new Kia Sportage ways better than this honestly!
Yea I am going to do more fixed shots instead of moving around so I hear you
Nissan's Credit rating is JUNK now. Nissan is losing 687 million this year. Nissan is going down the tubes and this car is not going to save it.
What do you mean? 2022 Nissan financial results are relatively solid, growth of revenue, positive net income and cash flow. Credit rating is indeed junk but it was set before these results were published. So Nissan is not going away anytime soon
Good profit in 2023
They did not do it for the space in the car. if you take a close look, Nissan has not yet figure out/ implemented a robust cooling/heating/HVAC system. There are bottles everywhere in the engine compartment area.
Nissan is my bet for the first legacy OEM to go tits up. Thoughts?
My guess is Mitsubishi
Or Mazda
The Ariya is actually the best Japanese EV so far! Suzuki, Honda and Mazda suck a lot more at EVs than Nissan. Toyota also sucks a lot, but if they hold their promise of 1.5 mio EVs by 2026, they will maybe survive.
maybe Subaru could be in trouble?
@@Angusoksen so much debt, though. Maybe they'll pull through.
How is not having a frunk increase the interior space? That makes no logical sense. All EV's that have a frunk have the same things under the frunk area as the Ariya.
I went from Tesla to Nissan, much prefer Ariya.

I’m glad to see other companies going EV but I will always be a Tesla owner!
