As a 32 yr old, the most memorable heisman seasons in my lifetime were cam newton and Reggie bush

Whoa. I haven't heard that name in a long time.
Cam Newton had the best season hands down. Burrow essentially had 2 #1 NFL wrs in college. Cams level of difficulty makes this a no brainer for me.
Also Jameis had an amazing first year as well. That team put up the most points in college history and they barely played full games.
Fr. Not even close. Cam’s and that team’s run was more difficult and impressive. Cam had to go thru the gauntlet NCAA career wise.

Vince beat Reggie straight up. Should’ve had the Heisman. ESPECIALLY when we learned about the cheating that led to the return of that trophy.

If I was judged by the decisions I made at 18-24 I’d have been far more disgraced than Manziel. If I was asked to be a professional and have my life together and not party and be responsible I would’ve ended up doing the exact same things he did. I’m a huge Notre Dame fan 2012 is such a weird season to look back on, started flying high, undefeated, and one of the best college players in the world leading the defense. By the end we had Teo getting catfished and getting buzz sawed by Bama in the national championship that was over in the first quarter.
Certainly a tough season for us. Really thought we could pull it out. Might be a while if ever before ND gets another Natty.
