I love this woman so much. I really appreciate her discipline, her passion for the sport and her refusal to let anyone else define what she can and cannot do. She is such a strong person and one of the few athletes willing to speak out against any wrongdoing or injustice, as she did before the Sochi Olympics. I think she’s such a great role model for all young women and young athletes. I really want to see her live up to her words, to be confident and brave in all her performances this season and carry that through to the Olympics.
Her story is so inspirational. I'm 16 and I'm getting a job this summer so I can start paying for my own figure skating lessons, and she's given me so much encouragement just through telling her story.
Nothing but love and respect for her. Womens figure skating took a dark and unfair turn aftet Sochi 2014 and some skaters get such high scores from unfair backloading on there programs ,flutz and have no artistic flare or creativity. Ashley has remained amazing skating to programs that are entertaining, creative and always pushes herself 💕 She isnt all about the jumping and technical side, she keeps a great balance on technique and presentation. Figure skating isnt just about jumping! Ashley has fun skating and is a joy to watch 💕
