- Sky News host Liz Storer has reacted to Argentina President Javier Milei firing an official on live television.
“Argentina got to watch as President Javier Milei fired Labor Secretary Omar Yasín live on air over a debacle about the president and his cabinet’s pay rises,” Ms Storer said.
“Apparently, a 48 per cent pay rise was triggered by a decree signed by the former president.
“Milei has rolled it all back, firing the minister that he says is responsible for this.
“The president says no, while the people suffer, we will suffer.”
Though I'm not Canadian, I'd love to see Trudeau thrown out of Office. He's been Canadian Prime Minister for far too long and has become too bloody arrogant. He needs to get his own "pink slip."

@@thepatriarchy819 Yes do it. It's a great country as long as you ignore the nonsense in the media/politicians. My advice would be to stay to larger towns as well, highly advise the East coast. Best to avoid certain people as well but generally you should be fine.

The payrise was automatic. The moment assistants earned more than them it got triggered. That system was put in place by Cristina Kirchner because rising their own wages is very bad seen but if it happens indirectly then it is less scandalous.

I lived in Argentina - if this guy can't do it no-one will. They literally need shock treatment, and he's giving it. Another commentor had me look into the story, and it doesn't look good for him. He signed the paper that would give him and all the other officials 48% more money. Granted that's apparently roughly in line with inflation, but it's way more than the average person was getting so it was still a bit dicey and he backed off.
As a Canadian I am thrilled with a strong leader like PP who can do what’s necessary to bring down the fools who have tried to ruin our beautiful home.

They change would need to come from Canadians themselves. But you saw how much resistance there was during the shutdown: basically none. So its not going to change in fact its going to get even worse. We pay 330$/month in property tax and home insurance alone while the average income is 25$/h (thats before taxes!)!
