ORV is so underrated. On my 3rd reread of the novel and I find myself finding more and more things I've missed throughout the story. Each read is a treat and I still get chills when certain scenes happen. If you know those scenes you will know what I'm talking about. Overall best novel I've ever read. Looking forward to the Manhwa and what it brings to the table.
I’m so glad more people are reading ORV. After I finished it for the first time, I sobbed for a long time. It was one of hardest crying sessions I’ve had in my life. I was despondent for days afterwards, just thinking about all I had read. And then I read it again. It was years ago now, but this novel has still left a profound impact on me. This video just inspired me to go read it a third time. Hopefully there will be less crying involved (I doubt it still lol)
Man, ORV is probably one of the most unique pieces of fiction I have read, started reading the Manwha about 3 years ago when it was just more 1 year old, and followed it for three more years or so, and after that decided to check the Novel, and oh boy I loved every single bit of it!!! I definitely recommend reading it, be it the novel or the Manwha :D
People still say Sl is better than orv storywise, artwise. I know i get Sl is a perfect manhwa to start getting into reading manhwa. But is it better than orv tho?
@@naimahakim1026 The stories may seem similar at first glance but go in completely diffrent ways eventually so it would be kind of unfair to compare the two. Solo leveling might be better if the reader wants a more action fantasy themed story and might be an easier read (I might be wrong though as I havent really finished it yet) but orv is better for people who want a more complex story with more deeper themes. (most of those things end up coming later on in the novel though so it's no big surprise that they still get compared often) In the end I'm really biased so i'd say that orv is better but many would argue against.
I kind of feel like I can predict the entire outcome of the story, based off just how it starts and the comments people have made about it. It doesn't really seem unique at all. It seems virtually identical to the thousand of other stories, all which have their own 'gimmick'.
@@naimahakim1026 As a guy who glazes both series, solo leveling is better for beginners because its a really basic story with top tier art. However, ORV has a significantly better storyline and world building and character development. In all honesty, the story of solo leveling is a little underwhelming and characters are neglected and the art kind of carries the series while ORV may not have better art but it has a much better story and themes(the art is still fire tho).
ORV is truly one of the best novels and manhwas I've ever read, it is a perfect mix of everything. I equally love and hate how much of a fool our beloved squid Dokja is. I really hope he understands how much his companions care and love him and finally gets his happy ending with them! ❤️❤️
The manhwa updates were regular but I was so desperate for more , ended up reading the whole novel lmao. It honestly left such an impression on me. ORV definitely deserves more recognition!
I agree with you and I think it is the best manhwa because all the manhwa games follow the path of the Solo level (a world, a portal, etc., etc.), and this is an idea that has been implemented to the point that it has become annoying...... But this manhwa invented a new world with a beautiful and more beautiful foundation for the idea that stars can give you feedback and support you... Just like us, viewers of your channel, we are waiting for the day when you become a big RUclips constellation like Kin Dogma.

I love the novel so much but i cannot live my daily life like before, though no regrets. But with all my honesty you should read the novel or the webtoon it is a very well written story that the writer put so much thought and passion, with so many twist and turns, the longer you read the more attached you become to the characters, the characters are unique in ways, the views are breath taking, most importantly the story is surely unique, I cannot explain the shocks I had when reading it. I recommend not watching spoilers to keep it fresh. Spoiler alert! i just realized Yoo Junghyuk showed up in the world after the fall manga to spread the story of Kim Dokja or looking for him i really dont remember(my stupid ass said solo leveling its actually the world after the fall its in chap 526/537 if i remember correctly)

I always find myself going back to read this masterpiece as Its hard for me to focus on just one story sometimes so thanks for giving me another reason to keep reading 👌
Orv is such a well written novel where every characters can be relatable and really likeable especially Kim dokja He was the representation of us readers trying to escape reality and he just felt so real to me. The dynamic between the characters, the plot, the foreshadowing, the world building, the quotes, the immaculate art of blackbox-nim, and the characters who I'm emotionally attached with like Han Sooyoung who wasted 13 years of her life energy just for that reader, Yoo Jungyuk who regressed 1864 times just to meet him, Jung Heewon who just wants to just protects the man who saved him, Lee Gilyoung and Shin yoosoung which Kim dokja became their parent figure, Sangah who is someone Kim Dokja he can be himself with and someone who can understand him and thats just a few of the characters and they are just perfect. The open ending was a perfect move where us readers will imagine the ending ourselves. As Kim Dokja said "The story won't end until the reader gives up on it".
You speaking so highly of this story throughout this video got me convinced to pick it up, so I should thank you beforehand. Wish my sleeping schedule luck of its as good as you say!
I’d also like to mention the s-classes that i raised! The author actually mentions and deals with the main characters trauma (a bit later on), and doesn’t throw it aside like many other reincarnation manhwas! It’s sorta similar to orv, and the author actually doesn’t immediately make the mc overpowered. The mc is still pretty weak compared to other hunters, but the people around him make up for his weaknesses. And yes, this story’s premise is a based on dungeons and monsters, similar to solo leveling.
About a year ago I finished the novel it was night I just felt empty after I read it barely sleept just kept thinking about it. It actually had a impact on me To this day I still find it a very good series It's stands 3-4 on my personal best series that I read/watched still reading the manhwa from time to time adoring the art and getting ready for the upcoming events 🙁
I have just started the manhwa a few weeks ago and caught up. Straight jumped to the novel 6 days ago and I'm now over halfway. I havn't even gotten to the end yet but this piece of fiction is already one of the best I have ever experienced in my life.
I am reading the manga it's on going but so far been amazing how much he developed his relationship with the people around him and the main character and how strong he got over time
it's true that the novel ended... but it will be forever a Neverending Story in my heart, I re read it every year too.. READ LORD OF THE MYSTERIES.. the first vol is hard to get through but it's such a peak. Also there's shadow slave it's like the same level as orv and lotm is level above
I remember reading orv around two years ago and after finishing it I just felt like a part of my soul was ripped away 10/10 totally recommend this masterpiece I still go back to read it sometimes, like you can tell all the love that was put in this story it’s just amazing

I know a lot of people will not agree with me but I will say. Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is the greatest ever written and it is better than any anime, manhwa, manga or any other fiction out there
I get you. Like, I wouldn't consider it perfect, but there's so much love for fiction and so many little details that you notice on reread, it's such a beautiful and passionate love letter to a reader, very few things made me feel the way this novel did
It changed the whole way i think about reading stories, after finishing ORV every story i read i have remembered ORV and its takes on how everyone's lives are stories themselves
As for Lord of The Mysteries, Kito senpai. Here is a quick comparison. If Kim Dokja is loneliness and pain, Klein Moretti is loneliness and a constant fight against madness. ORV will always remain at the top, but LOTM does come near.
LOTM got a much much better power system & world building though, kim dokja and klein's character writing is subjective as to who did it better as it hinges on your enjoyment of the characters due to both being objectively incredibly well written Objectively LOTM is the better fantasy while ORV is more akin to a supernatural drama
Omniscient reader was the best piece of online literature I had ever read… and then I read the novel and looked at blackbox’s art. It’s strangely intriguing even though I don’t read novels ever…
If you like it, try novels : Lord Of the Mysteries Legendary Mechanic I shall seal the heavens A Will Eternal My House Of Horrors Coincidentally they're all Chinese Web Novels
I greatly recommend the manhwa "hellper" probably My favorite manhwa of all time. It's a manhwa that really makes you think about what's the meaning of justice and other meaningful things while also having probably My favorite protagonist ever and an amazing art style that's really unique

KITOOOOOOOOOOO try lord of the mysteries. that novel is objectively better. ORV is a novel that you will love because the characters are just awesome(ik u understand). LOTM is simply better. Not in emotional ways. There aint anybody more relatable or likeable than Dokja in that novel but there's a better protagonist, better, villains, better fights, better worldbuildings, better gods, better everything objectively. It is hands down the best novel written. Not because of its philosophy, characters, etc. It is just better. Read it and you will understand. Also, just cuz it doesn't specialize in anything particular doesnt mean there aint angst, comedy, and great fucking plot. In fact, the reason why LOTM is objectively better is because there is no bad parts. There is really good comedy. There is really good angst. There is really good tragedy. There is really good plot twists, etc. any element that is in that novel is equally as good as everything else. The first volume will take time to get exciting since this author likes to build the world and establish all his rules and then make everything a zillion times more fun. doesnt mean volume 1 aint good. its still better than any average story. read it man.
When someone asks I always say my favourite MC is Dokja but my favourite webnovel is Lord of Mysteries so I agree with you, you wrote everything that I got lazy to explain about to my friends lol.
I'm only reading the manwha at the moment and I love it! My favorite manwha for sure! Not only has it the typical power fantasy but in contrast to Solo Leveling it actually puts some focus on the side characters and the story is just amazing! Can't wait for what's to come. Only downside is how long it'll take. People who read the novel said it's going to take like 500+ chapters and that's going to take a while.
true tbh it's probably gonna be 600-700 chapters assuming it keeps up with it's current pacing the story is actually gonna get more *interesting* so it's worth the wait and the novel is a really good read if you like reading novels it's recommend
Ask: Is it worth reading the novel? I read the manhwa but can't really feel the character development, as it mainly focuses on the action (which is superb on its own). Also, storyline felt jumpy-ish on the manhwa, is it the same on the novel?
The manhwa has barely covered 1/3 of the novel and a lot more is gonna happen U should definitely read the novel U won't regret it U should keep some tissues with u just in case tho
@@revellianrv1576 It depends. The main thing for me is that in the novel there's more of Kim Dokja’s internal struggles and thoughts, also it's a lot clearer how much of an unreliable narrator he is. Also the manhwa cuts some stuff for the sake of pacing. Some people say that ORV in general is better in a novel form because it's a story about reading a book, so when the story gets more meta some parts just feel more emotional due to the story format. The main thing, of course, is that the manhwa isn't finished and the novel is, so it covers the best part, which is the ending and the epilogues
[SPOILERS] ORV's MCs are just so much more real, if yk what I mean? Like, there are so many times where I found myself relating to a character. Not to mention, no matter how many times they end up using the same "Kim Dokja sacrifices himself" thing, it still has the same impact. Despite being a long novels (and manhwa), ORV doesn't have even one boring arc. The way everything connects itself is just so beautiful. It's mind-blowing how the writers even came up with this. As a writer, I am fascinated by this story. As a reader, I. AM. IN. MISERY. I honestly expected the novel to have a sort of a vague ending but HOLY CRAP! It's art itself to make readers get this attached to the characters and safe to say, my mind goes into a spiral the moment I start thinking about the time paradox and the inevitable tragedy. What a masterpiece, man...truly magnificent.
Orv is hands-down one of the BEST Manhwa’s I’ve ever read. It’s so good. The plot, the characters personalities, the characters design, the amount of emotions it displays. It’s absolutely amazing. I’m reading the manhwa rn, and so far it’s gotten to chapter 196. It kills me to wait like 2 weeks for one chapter, but it’s always worth the wait. I’m thinking of reading the novel, but I’ve been spoiled (It’s so confusing though) and idk if I’m ready. So imma just stick to the manhwa. But overall, for me, orv is a 10/10✨💗‼️ SQUID MAN KDJ!!
i'd come to orv upon stumbling in its manhwa and haven't read the ln yet. From the start till the end orv got me and changed my opinion of sl being the best manwha to orv. I enjoyed the story so much and cant wait to start the ln
After you read lord of the mysteries you HAVE to read tbate. Its not some perfect, amazingly written story like lotm (lord of the mysteries) and orv (Ominciant reader) but its just as enjoyable, no matter how you look at it. Anywhere you look for orv and/or lotm videos, your bound to find something about TBATE (the beginning after the end) because of just how enjoyable it is too read and hope for the mc (Arthur leywin) to get his happy ending.
man that whole thing was just a fever dream, imaigne seeing the guy u care ab most just disappear and then come back being like 'Oh hi, didnt see u there lol, anyways im back lmao' would make me go insane. the plot is really thick and it hits u when u least expect it (thanks for making me distracted from handing in my class assignments and instead making me have mental breakdowns instead of a life (totally didnt reread for 7 times and a half)) i have read solo leveling before but i like orv's ending more cuz it gives the readers more room for their own imagination of what happened (not thanks, give me the damned ending.) and that makes me go to look at fanarts and i go 'oh i want to read it again' and guess what? another cycle of endless pain (yay) the first few sacrifices of dokja makes u go '..oh no..' but then in the future ur gonna go 'hehehe dokja, oh no' but the last 2 (attempted) sacrifices was what really made everyone lose their crap e.g. make someone try to steal a boat and be unemployed if u ignore the depresso: 100/100 if u add the depresso: 999/100 for the full experience, novel is recommended

this is a story that will change you. there's nobody that is more relatable in this world than the beautiful character of Kim Dokja. there's no person more loveable than Dokja.
clarifying: Dokja was 15 (he was just small for his age) when he started reading TWSA. he's 28 at the start of the story. BUT DEFINITELY HIGHLY AGREE WITH THIS REC. people who haven't read the webnovel, please anticipate an official translation in the coming years. and people who are just reading the manhwa, CONTINUE TO SUPPORT IT, IT WILL DEFINITELY BE A RIDE YOU WON'T FORGET.
25 at start, then 28 after coming back after the demon realm
@@wanderingllama7071 28 at the start. 3 years happened while he was in the other worldline for a few days/a week at most, so technically he was still 28 while everyone else got older by 3 years. go back to chapter one. I just checked the webtoon, also, literally it has Dokja Kim (28).
Oh ok sorry I forgot about that
Still it is confusing, bc dokja started reading twsa at 15, then it ended after 10 yrs. So he should have been 25, not 28… oh well idk anymore
Hang on I’m so sorry I am mistaken it went for 13 yrs shoot I forgot
@@wanderingllama7071 i think he says "10 years" to round the number. because saying 13 makes it more embarrassing. 10 years already is a long time to dedicate yourself to a story, but 13 is just worse (in Dokja's view of how everyone sees his habits)

I love the novel so much but i cannot live my daily life like before, though no regrets. dude, i'm so damn happy you covered this one. It's incredible, and was the first story in a looong time that made me shiver while i read it.
If reincarnation is actually real, I just wish to read this masterpiece again.

ORV is peak webnovel. It’d be very, very hard to top. Excellent concept with great execution.

As for Lord of The Mysteries, Kito senpai.
Here is a quick comparison.
If Kim Dokja is loneliness and pain,
Klein Moretti is loneliness and a constant fight against madness.
ORV will always remain at the top, but LOTM does come near.
LOTM got a much much better power system & world building though, kim dokja and klein's character writing is subjective as to who did it better as it hinges on your enjoyment of the characters due to both being objectively incredibly well written
Objectively LOTM is the better fantasy while ORV is more akin to a supernatural drama

try lord of the mysteries. that novel is objectively better.

@@heykey1909what is difference between a novel and a manhwa , I have never read anything except some few Mangas
[SPOILERS]
ORV's MCs are just so much more real, if yk what I mean?
