OMG I miss Adelaide, such a fun track to watch F1 tear up. I always wonder about Alesi's 10 and 2 hand position, ha ha I guess it would minimize corrections somewhat. Really nice guy though - the guy who owns the karting track near me knows him and said he's really cool and unassuming, just humble.
Same here, I have watched this video so many times! Adelaide track is still one of my top favourites after Spa, Imola (up until 1994 layout) and Hockenheim (the long version)
@@sircharles7323 in an ideal world, that should be the case for the entire field, but as it was, it was the Ferrari that was furthest from the pace in any season a Ferrari participated in
@@SiVlog1989 I´m with you. Would be much more fun to watch all of them with these kind of cars, fighting for the win. Nowadays it looks like cars on rails, though I know it is still one very sophisticated thing to drive the new ones, only it doesn´t look so.
I agree. In my mind he was one of those great what-if's since he was offered a drive for Williams in 1991 but chose Ferrari instead. One can only imagine what he could have done with the dominant 1992 and 1993 Williams-Renaults. His racing career would have looked very different indeed. A lot of wins were cruelly denied him. Monaco 1996 and Monza 1995 comes to mind. There were others in which fate seemingly was against him. Seeing him drive the Jordan in 2001 with his skill was pure joy.
That hand position on the steering wheel had to be a huge part of his driving style. Even on the later '97 cars he would still use the older and larger wheel.
V10 is better imo. Cheaper, more reliable, easier to work with and (obviously) took up less space and weighed less. V12's also made the weight distribution more problematic with much more turn-in under-steer. V12 sounds amazing but it's almost 'too' high pitch whereas the V10 sounded a bit more angrier. This is just my opinion though (well most anyway).
The front grip was good but pointless. If he used it, the rear wanted to come around. It would be interesting to compare his teammate's approach, to see what he and his engineers did with the set-up. Under Alesi, it seems that there is lag between both ends of the chassis. Was this more pronounced because of his style, with which we saw the Tyrrel display similar unstable characteristics?
Oh, wonderful stuff... that car was so, but so terrible. But it was so pretty, one of the prettiest ever... you can see Alesi battling with the car all over the circuit...
Alesi always liked an over steering car... Not the best for tyres btw. But shit, this Ferrari was so bad. car is always understeering at the beginning of the corner and somehow at the end the car became over steering, when this happens every driver becomes crazy
God, I love his hands' position on the wheel... Good old times, how much I miss them
Must have driven in America too long and picked up some habits
I like Alesi's style.. Very hardened car control

Much better to watch a hot lap incar camera too compared to Melbourne!

This shows how unstable the twin floor F92A was, not so much a prancing horse, more like a frisky stallion
Or just a pony car
Looks very difficult to drive, but for us fans great to watch the hard work of the driver!

Ridiculous how much effort he has to put in just to keep this car on the track!
paddyanglais91 Alesi had the best car control... He needed it too driving the Ferrari
Ridiculous? Somehow it seems most-appropriate.

Just stunning, always looked like Jean was fighting with every car he drove, V12 is pure poetry....
Those Ferraris 1990-1995 were hard to drive
MegaBronsky1 the 96 ferrari too
Handeled like crap but with a master like schumacher behind the wheel the car managed to get 3 victories.
Jo$h schummy didn't drive this Ferrari. This was a V12. They drove a Ferrari V10.
Almost too hard
1990 Ferrari had the best chassis maybe?
1995 car was a good car. Schumacher said if he had it he would have won even quicker
Miss you f1...
Long gone
Mate, I could watch this footage all night. Love Jean but love Adelaide track more than most, except SPA. Thank you.
Real real drivers
Jean alesi, the coolest driver in f1 history. No anti stall here.
Alesi shaking his fist at Ayrton Senna. Gotta love it
excellent upload and no music overlay.
thankyou

the car oversteering during the braking at 1:40
That 92 Ferrari was a handful.
Circuito difícil!
Danke Niki
@nzoplkj I was sitting at that corner in 1992 and remember that moment distinctly, even after all these years.
My god, what a sound
Jean Alesi the uncrowned king
love how he gestures to Senna of all people to move over and let him trough. No lack of courage there.
@JRMOOING My pleasure!
v12 ferrari=real f1

1:50 Niki Lauda. RIP.
wow, frighteningly unstable and stiff, credit to him for not killing himself! Wonderful shots!
Monster Alesi.
yeah, you expect his arms to be numb and immobile after about 20 laps!
Omg that Ferrari was so hard to drive !
Think he was saying thanks
How ausome does that atmo V12 sound!
every Brazilian's dream was to see Ayrton Senna End his career driving the legendary Ferrari 😢
man i tell ya the drivers today have got it easy
02:27 "blin-blin ... recalculating ... please make a U-turn"
@nzoplkj He always vawed to people when coming up to them...he was a great driver, that is missed from todays F1 and motorracing in general..
Therefore, the press and people are still showing interest in Jean!
Always had a very small steering wheel as he thought it gave more control.
ese Ferrari es inmanejable

Che rumore il v12
This is why Vettel wants the v12 back.
Vettel needs to shut up he never even raced V12's so wth does he know about it...
@@srxt6758 and you have?
Jean Alesi invented the s🅱️innala
Perchè non alle 12:05 le mani, Alesi?
I thought that this car would be harder to handle with a manual gearbox.
Ferrari sound‼️

The F92A was a shitbox, as Lauda would say. Bucking all over place like a raging bronco.
Big Talent. Bad Car.
Alesi's talent has been abused by the worst Ferrari owners in history
the way he grips the wheel is so weird....
The way his car doesn't grip is weirder.. I would burn this tape if I were you Jean XD
Perde pro senna pro nelsom precisa falar mais
3:09-03:13 the videos i see Senna in the more i realize how shitty his driving skills are.
yes.. that shitty driving skills brought him 3WDC and 65 pole positions..
