Thanks for watching! If you enjoy this style content (especially once I remember to bring a shorter focal length lens...) be sure to subscribe. We have a lot more how to videos planned along with interviews from top coaches, athletes and bike industry veterans.

The now passed owner at Hi-E Engineering had suggested wellwood contact cement a few decades ago. Have been using ever since. Lol. If you put the wheel on a table hanging up the axel on the edge, you can hold against your belly and stretch forward. The table would have to be against a wall to keep in place. Great video brother! Dont forget to pre-mount the tire and let it stretch a bit prior.

Thanks! Pre-stretching tires is definitely an important step, especially with Conti. Vittorias are so much easier that I honestly will rarely pre-stretch those though other than to just make sure they hold air before gluing.

Great instructions. I am enjoying all your videos. I wish I had known of you when I attended Barnett's last year.

Is there any good solvent to splash into and refresh an aging and "cobwebby" tin of Mastik? Asking for a friend... 😆

I'm sure there is something out there that could work but personally I have never wanted to risk it and would just replace the glue if it got too old. Thankfully we glue enough tires that its been a long time since a can went bad for us.
