That was really cool, thank you for capturing your trip. I ride between 7,000 - 10,000 miles each season. I take the entire month of February off to ride. I have a cottage in northern Michigan so several thousand miles here. Then 2 weeks in Quebec which I find has the best trail system. Typically a week in Ontario, where trails are also exceptional. One year my buddy and I started in Ontario north of Sault Ste Marie and rode all the way to the St. Lawrence seaway in Quebec to a Fairmont Hotel on the river, for couple of nights then turned around rode back, just shy of 4,000 miles in two weeks. The one thing I am not good at is capturing the trip like you did, that was really special. FYI, because it is difficult to find anyone with the passion I have, approximately 3,500 miles is solo. My longest single day ride was 500 miles!
Great ride, great recap. Live north of Milwaukee did stevens point and back 430miles one over night. Definitely motivates to do another extended trip. Have to nimble and go when the trails dictate….what an experience to return solo, actually most was solo riding. New sled so little worry on breakdown. Great share
Down here in NY we had better snow in southern NY than the places we usually ride up north, was good season last year almost 1900 miles last year, hopefully over 2000 this year! Thanks completely enjoyed the video!! When we were traveling this year I brought my linq can actually never needed it !! We always made our next station, I have 2020 xc 137 850 but have the intek linq mounts and there awesome 👍....
Nice job! Thanks for posting this, looks really fun. Geez, I should have went south to ride this winter, northern MN wasn't too good. After that same week in Feb, I won't be without gauntlets either.
wow Chad that is simply amazing! of course it was E10 gas the whole time.... lol when i was young and an xlt was new i loved leaving the apartment in the morning and simply ride all day with no map and no cares, stop for gas and food and keep going!
Great trip, looked like a fun ride. Thanks for the video! Back in the early 90's, some of our club members rode from NCIA to Copper Harbor and back. Did it several times in the 90's. 1800ish miles a trip.
Chad awesome ride ! I have always wanted to do a similar ride Like you I have been riding for over 40 yrs tons of solo miles I'm from Three lakes the guys I ride with have place in Baraboo and northern IL this is a real possibility when conditions permit see you on the trails rubber side down!
I did a 270 mile solo round trip the week before yours in that brutal cold we had. Stephenson michigan to seymour wi and back to stephenson. Cool vid wish I'd have done the same.
yeah... was cold on Wednesday am -15 below, and stayed cold over night until Saturday. After unfortunately our season started winding down, sadly. Gosh there was SO much snow in Southern WI and Northern IL.
Awesome video! I would like to do this ride one day. I live in northwest Indiana and travel multiple times a winter to eagle river. Would you be willing to share your ride command route? I don't see much with trails on the Polaris app until you get up to northern Illinois.
Very cool trip and video, but when did we start adding everyones miles up to say we did that as a weekend ride? Even the 1,100 you did is very impressive for a weekend.
Hey Chad, Great video. How was it for refueling? Did you have to go out of your way a lot? Did you ever run out? Did you get turned around a lot on the trials? I'm looking to do my first long distance trip this winter ( Hopefully) any info would be greatly appreciated.
Refueling wasn't an issue, but little extra would have been nice (small can). Going up yes, maps/gps were NOT accurate. Learned little trick on return, whatever intersection is make a decision.... go couple miles THEN check. Looking forward to another long run next yr, somewhere? Out East, Dakotas/Mn, Midwest? who knows.
@@TheChadColby yeah this year was great . I put about 2000 miles on my sled just around colona il riding after work every day. If the snow is right next year I try to make this same trip with a couple of my buddy's.
@@Stuck-N-Illinois yeah I am totally with you, we are already planning for next winter. You just never know where the big snow will be, this year was ours. Next yr who knows!
As you know only been a few times the last 30yrs it could have been done! Looking forward to chasing the snow this winter, oh wait after my sled comes in.
yeah, most I have ever done was 600. March ride in mid 90's, saw 7 groomers and 4 sleds all day. Was mid week right from Eagle River area to UP of Michigan and back.
Thats a BAD TITLE!! Hell My Buddy and I did 365 miles Yesterday afternoon. From 10 am until 6pm and He's driving an Old 2001 700 Polaris and getting 15mpg on a tank of gas.
Really your video should say 1155 miles I ride with 10-15 guys and we don’t add all our miles together 😂 and u seemed to be riding buy yourself most of the time anyway lol very misleading video
As the video shares, there were 9 guys who made the trip up, I joined them with about 50 to go on the way up. Bucket list ride for sure, no one else wanted to ride back. Sad part was on Monday AM, trails were closed in Central WI.

What an adventure, and great video Chad. nothing runs like a Leone Polaris!
my brother says the only thing faster than a Polaris is a ski doo owner running to get parts before the dealer closes up lol we both ride the XCR850

awesome trip! what a great year to ride i'm in iowa city and rode 400 miles around here and 1500 up north
Yeah, winter got off to a slow start but sure had a BIG finish!

You're welcome, it was fun!
Thanks for sharing this epic ride!
thanks Mike, was pain to get this video done but SO many people wanted to know the details.
Awesome ride i recognize some of them trails rode by that Hancock dealer the same weekend you did ..always wanted to do a ride like that
it was SO good to Hancock when I was there.... too bad season didn't last longer.
So it was really 1155 miles then...ok.
right? why would he say 6393 when it was 1155? I must have missed the joke.
I believe he was adding the total miles for all in the group he rides with
Hey man that's so cool to see you so close to where I live. I'm only 25 Miles south of antigo. Just north of Wittenberg
YEAH... rode right by, great trail system!
Love this 650 Patriot engine. My next engine of choice in an Assault 146
yes indeed, it's a GREAT motor.
How is this anywhere close to 6000 miles? More like a 800 miles.

Nice video! Hey, how was your jackshaft bearing through all those miles. I heard the jackshaft bearing isn't that good on the 2021's. Matryx

There's really no trails till you hit northern Illinois, I'm looking at doing Wisconsin Dells to St. Germain next season
Cool ride Leones is a great dealership

No extra fuel can ?
yeah... was little limited on room, definitely would have been handy! One bag had tools, oil, etc or had clothing, goggles, etc.
I'm from colona il and I would be willing to do this ride next year. I love riding snowmobiles and ride the hennepin canal every year.
