I really love the debate on Naminé, she was always seen as the special Nobody, instead of being made from Kairi losing her heart, but rather Sora releasing her heart from within himself, she defies the logic of being a Nobody, much like Roxas, and it makes her a very mysterious and interesting character
The only problem with her being a "Nobody", is that a Nobody is created from the body of a person after they're turned into a heartless. The body being the "shell that is left behind." But in Kairi's case, her body was still present even after her heart went into Sora, kind of the same as Ventus still having his body after HIS heart took refuge in Sora. It makes slightly MORE sense that Roxas looks like Ventus, because besides the fact that his heart was in Sora at the time, the part of Ventus' heart that's in Sora also has a part of Sora's heart in IT. When Sora was about to be born, his heart actually filled the broken part of Ventus' that was left when Vanitas was extracted, which is why Vanitas looks like Sora. So it makes slightly more sense that Roxas looks like Ventus instead of Sora, because their hearts are actually sort of merged together, and sense Kairi brought Sora back from being a Heartless, the Nobody form of Sora just took to looking like the closest next best thing, which would be Ventus. But Kairi and Sora's hearts were never merged like that, Heartless are made of darkness, which Kairi's heart has no darkness, so no Heartless can be made from her, AND even though she lost her heart when it went into Sora, her body never actually went to the darkness to form a Nobody, as we see, because Riku was able to find it, exactly how it was before. This is why Namine is so weird, and it's hard to classify her as a Nobody at all. It's because nothing about her creation makes sense when it comes to how a Nobody is made. Which is why a lot of people (myself included) don't think that Namine was actually a Nobody, but some kind of other unique being all to herself. What exactly she was, I have no idea, and haven't found any good explanations for it either. Just seems to be a strange Princess plot hole......I wonder what the "Nobodies" of the other Princesses would look like, and what they'd be able to do...?
well,kh2 states that namine is a nobody,and she used soras body to exist....which leaves the qestion however,why didnt namine return to sora but to kairi?

An interesting thing to note is that although Namine is Kairi's Nobody she was basically "forged" I guess you could call it from Sora's body. So when Namine bonds with Kairi in the same way Roxas merged with Sora, Kairi is actually bounding with a part of Sora. I'm not sure if this will end up having any significance in the series or if this detail will be completely glossed over. But it's still something worth noting. Also since they are so obviously love interests the fact she has a part of him inside her is certainly an interesting development.
In my experience, people tend to ONLY notice hair when they talk about whether people look alike. I know a set of twins who look nothing like each other - different skin tones, heights, builds, eye colours - but because they had the same HAIR, people had trouble telling them apart. MY younger sister and I, on the other hand, look VERY similar - but I dye my hair black and she dyes hers blonde. We always get told we look nothing alike. I've also been asked if I'm Asian - and had Asian people assume I speak their language - based purely on the colour and cut of my hair. So I can see why people say Namine doesn't look like Kairi. They're ONLY looking at her hair.
+Underestimated Usually Yeah, but there's a problem with that, because when comes to the lore of many series, including KH, they can say one thing at one point, and then future or previous installments can hold information that's inconsistent with the initial explanation. It's the same with Namine, there's a lot of inconsistencies about her birth when it comes to the creation of a Nobody. So what I want to know is, how does Sora get another body right after that. After his heart left, his body formed Roxas, and his heart became a heartless. After Kairi hugs Sora's heartless, the heartless becomes Sora again. But Roxas still exists. So where did the body Sora use in End game KH1 and Chain of Memories come form?
Factoid I can't remember where I read this fact but it's got to do with Kairi as the Princess of Hearts. She gave Sora a new body/vessel. Roxas was actually moving with Sora's original body. Hard for me to explain. Hope somebody else could help me.

Since Princesses of heart don't lose their bodies when their heart is taken (seen in KH1 and BBS) and Kairi also had a body while she had a nobody running around, I have to assume that Princesses of Heart must have some control over the body aspect. It seems like they can duplicate bodies or something to that effect.
Factoid Well now that's a bit more complicated. First remember that a Heartless is a person's old body, and the Nobody is their soul, as stated by Yen Sid in KH2. As far as I can tell, the process of becoming a Nobody isn't instantaneous since there was a cutscene after Sora stabbed himself with him falling into the darkness for a period of time. But before he was completely swallowed by the darkness, the light in Kairi's heart while hugging his Heartless, brought him back along with his body and memories. But now you're probably asking, "Okay, so then why does Roxas exist at the same time as Sora? His soul is in Roxas and his own body at the same time then!" Technically, you're partially right. I know all of the details of Ven's heart's influence on Roxas, but my question was "where does the second BODY come from?" I think it is well established that when a heart and body are seperated, the heart forms a heartless, while the mind, soul and body stay to form a Nobody. While I'm fine with souls being shared between the Somebody and the Nobody, what about the BODY. Because Roxas has a body and so does Sora, at the the same time. You answered what was going on with the soul; I was asking what happened with the body.

That's from the keyblade . The keyblade riku/Ansem SoD used was made from 6 out of the 7 hearts of pure light , but lacked kairis heart because it was in sora. Riku/Ansem SoD says this before confronting sora I believe
there were three hearts that resided in sora in KH 1, if you could remember at the end of BBS, Ventus' heart went to sora while his body remained an empty vessel inside castle oblivion, thus the reason why roxas looked like Ventus o.O
So does that mean that sora isnt human anymore but a heartless similar to Xenohart's heartless? What i mean by that since sora lost his heart doesnt that mean he is still a heartless despite being purified by kairi when she protected him from the other heartless. Actually, when Sora released his Heart, intentionally or not is irrelevant, to give Kairi back hers, his Heart went into Kairi. Apart from that Sora turned into a regular Heartless, and it seems that all Heartless might retain some form of sapience for a short while after they change. Kairi, as a Princess of Heart, simply recognized Sora's Heartless and released his Heart from hers, reshaping the darkness that his body was no made of into him.
Isn't a nobody the empty shell/body left over after you lose your heart? Kairi is still alive in her body though, so there was no empty shell left so what's up with that?
I think that the argument made here, for Kairi having a nobody is, that Kairis heart was kinda mixed with Soras, and since Sora's heart contains darkness, Kairi could get a nobody. The other princesses of hearts were still pure light, so no nobodies were created

Have you heard that square enix has more unannounced ps4 games coming this year? There could be a chance then that one of them is a HD remastered version of dream drop distance and hey it could be multiplatform and come to ps3 as well.... well that's what I hope for anyway and I mean it could kinda make sense for this sorta thing to have not been announced yet but still come out this year as it might not necessarily take too long to make.
i always thought that this is how it went: Namine was actually created when Destiny Islands were destroyed because that's when she lost her heart. And because of the fact that she is a Princess and has no darkness, Namine doesn't have any of Kairi's memories. Sort of like Roxas, except he doesn't have Sora's memories because Sora was only a Heartless briefly.

Álvaro Gómez Martín I've heard both theories and after re-playing through the games recently, I'm realizing that I messed up a few parts. Like you said, yes it is a fake since Xion is just copying Roxas' powers and when Xion died, she should've been erased from Roxas' memories since she was made from memories. However Roxas' will to remember her awakened a part of Ventus inside of him (since Ven's heart was released and went into Roxas) giving him the ability to dual wield his key and Ven's.

I kinda wonder why Riku doesn't have a nobody. I mean, in KH1, when Ansem takes over his body we see him running around the realm of darkness and then King Mickey starts talking to him about it. It's sort of implied that, at least for a little while, Riku's heart did exist independently of his body. So. I always sort of wondered about that.

The only reason Namine was created was because her heart was in Sora's, so her nobody comes from Sora's body and Kairi's heart (which is also what gives Namine power over Sora's memories).

Daniel Guzman I'm pretty sure that the other princess heart's took refuge in Ansem's keyblade, not Sora, which is why they didn't get nobodies. Kairi's was in Sora because of the cave scene at the beginning of KH1, I think. I could be wrong, who knows with KH lore.

Roxas is a pure paradox aswell. According to Ansem the wise (as it's explained in the Ansem reports of KH2), nobodies are the body and the soul of someone who became a heartless. So once Sora became human again, Roxas' existent couldn't be possible anymore either. At best, Ventus' heart shouöd've become a heartless.

Xehanort studied the darkness because he believed that as keyblade wielders where meant to protect the light, there shouldn't be a power that they let go to waste. On that note I agree with him. But he let his curiosity get the better of him, immersed himself too far into the darkness and was corrupted. There's also a theory about Xehanort being connected to the Seventh Foreteller (specifically possessed by), that makes sense, but still might be a bit of a stretch. This is why Namine is so weird, and it's hard to classify her as a Nobody at all. It's because nothing about her creation makes sense when it comes to how a Nobody is made. Which is why a lot of people (myself included) don't think that Namine was actually a Nobody, but some kind of other unique being all to herself. What exactly she was, I have no idea, and haven't found any good explanations for it either. Just seems to be a strange Princess plot hole......I wonder what the "Nobodies" of the other Princesses would look like, and what they'd be able to do...?

An interesting thing to note is that although Namine is Kairi's Nobody she was basically "forged" I guess you could call it from Sora's body. So when Namine bonds with Kairi in the same way Roxas merged with Sora, Kairi is actually bounding with a part of Sora. I'm not sure if this will end up having any significance in the series or if this detail will be completely glossed over.
But it's still something worth noting. Also since they are so obviously love interests the fact she has a part of him inside her is certainly an interesting development.

In my experience, people tend to ONLY notice hair when they talk about whether people look alike. I know a set of twins who look nothing like each other - different skin tones, heights, builds, eye colours - but because they had the same HAIR, people had trouble telling them apart. MY younger sister and I, on the other hand, look VERY similar - but I dye my hair black and she dyes hers blonde. We always get told we look nothing alike. I've also been asked if I'm Asian - and had Asian people assume I speak their language - based purely on the colour and cut of my hair.
So I can see why people say Namine doesn't look like Kairi. They're ONLY looking at her hair.

So what I want to know is, how does Sora get another body right after that. After his heart left, his body formed Roxas, and his heart became a heartless. After Kairi hugs Sora's heartless, the heartless becomes Sora again. But Roxas still exists. So where did the body Sora use in End game KH1 and Chain of Memories come form?
Factoid I can't remember where I read this fact but it's got to do with Kairi as the Princess of Hearts. She gave Sora a new body/vessel. Roxas was actually moving with Sora's original body. Hard for me to explain. Hope somebody else could help me.

Since Princesses of heart don't lose their bodies when their heart is taken (seen in KH1 and BBS) and Kairi also had a body while she had a nobody running around, I have to assume that Princesses of Heart must have some control over the body aspect. It seems like they can duplicate bodies or something to that effect.
Factoid Well now that's a bit more complicated. First remember that a Heartless is a person's old body, and the Nobody is their soul, as stated by Yen Sid in KH2. As far as I can tell, the process of becoming a Nobody isn't instantaneous since there was a cutscene after Sora stabbed himself with him falling into the darkness for a period of time. But before he was completely swallowed by the darkness, the light in Kairi's heart while hugging his Heartless, brought him back along with his body and memories. But now you're probably asking, "Okay, so then why does Roxas exist at the same time as Sora? His soul is in Roxas and his own body at the same time then!" Technically, you're partially right. Like I stated before: the process of becoming a Nobody isn't instantaneous. It takes a short period of time for the soul to transfer itself along with the hold host's memories. I'll go into further detail, but first, a little more background of Roxas to help understand the story:
Roxas looks the way he does because in the end of KH: BBS, Ventus merged with Sora's heart so it could rest while his body lies dormant in Castle Oblivion. Therefore when Sora stabbed himself with the Keyblade of Heart, he released all the hearts trapped inside of him and then Sora was turned into a Shadow Heartless. Meanwhile for his Nobody, Ven's heart is also released and Ven's body image of was given to Roxas, which is why Ventus and Roxas are identical and the reason why he can use two Keyblades. One is his since he's Sora's Nobody, and the other is Ventus', but Ven's memories returned to Sora only giving Roxas Ven's appearance I believe since there is no showing of Roxas knowing who Ven is. When the Organization stripped Roxas of his powers during 358/2 days, that's how Xion was able to use her Keyblade. She took Ven's ability to use a Keyblade from Roxas and then copied Roxas' Kingdom Key to use as her own, so Roxas is only able to use his own Keyblade at this time. At the end of KH: 358/2 days when Xion returned to Sora and gave Roxas' powers back, he is able to wield his own plus Xion's/Ventus' Keyblade again which he uses during the end while fighting the Neo-Shadows. (Fun fact: Roxas is the only known character to change the form of his Keyblades without the use of keychains as displayed in the end of KH: 358/2 days).
Now you're probably saying, "Okay, so then why is Roxas so different from Sora since he's his Nobody?" I know all of the details of Ven's heart's influence on Roxas, but my question was "where does the second BODY come from?" I think it is well established that when a heart and body are seperated, the heart forms a heartless, while the mind, soul and body stay to form a Nobody. While I'm fine with souls being shared between the Somebody and the Nobody, what about the BODY. Because Roxas has a body and so does Sora, at the the same time. You answered what was going on with the soul; I was asking what happened with the body.

Actually, when Sora released his Heart, intentionally or not is irrelevant, to give Kairi back hers, his Heart went into Kairi. Apart from that Sora turned into a regular Heartless, and it seems that all Heartless might retain some form of sapience for a short while after they change. Kairi, as a Princess of Heart, simply recognized Sora's Heartless and released his Heart from hers, reshaping the darkness that his body was no made of into him.

Have you heard that square enix has more unannounced ps4 games coming this year? There could be a chance then that one of them is a HD remastered version of dream drop distance and hey it could be multiplatform and come to ps3 as well.... well that's what I hope for anyway and I mean it could kinda make sense for this sorta thing to have not been announced yet but still come out this year as it might not necessarily take too long to make.
i always thought that this is how it went: Namine was actually created when Destiny Islands were destroyed because that's when she lost her heart. And because of the fact that she is a Princess and has no darkness, Namine doesn't have any of Kairi's memories. Sort of like Roxas, except he doesn't have Sora's memories because Sora was only a Heartless briefly.

Like you said, yes it is a fake since Xion is just copying Roxas' powers and when Xion died, she should've been erased from Roxas' memories since she was made from memories. However Roxas' will to remember her awakened a part of Ventus inside of him (since Ven's heart was released and went into Roxas) giving him the ability to dual wield his key and Ven's.

The only reason Namine was created was because her heart was in Sora's, so her nobody comes from Sora's body and Kairi's heart (which is also what gives Namine power over Sora's memories).
+Tristan Neal but even if the princesses of heart have "pure" heart, their heart is still a part of Sora's. So shouldn't they be tainted in a sense? I mean Kairi is a princess of heart meaning that hers should be "pure" also but her heart was still affected.
Daniel Guzman I'm pretty sure that the other princess heart's took refuge in Ansem's keyblade, not Sora, which is why they didn't get nobodies. Kairi's was in Sora because of the cave scene at the beginning of KH1, I think. I could be wrong, who knows with KH lore.

Roxas is a pure paradox aswell. According to Ansem the wise (as it's explained in the Ansem reports of KH2), nobodies are the body and the soul of someone who became a heartless. So once Sora became human again, Roxas' existent couldn't be possible anymore either. At best, Ventus' heart shouöd've become a heartless.

Do Nobodies age? I mean I've heard they don't but then again, if you look at zexion and Namine, both of them are older. Namine looks older in KH2 than in KHRecom

TheEmeraldMaster Xehanort's obsessed with the unknown. He sees Kingdom Hearts as the ultimate mystery, so he's willing to screw everyone over and reach it just to sate his own curiosity. He's basically a mad scientist.

Xehanort studied the darkness because he believed that as keyblade wielders where meant to protect the light, there shouldn't be a power that they let go to waste. On that note I agree with him. But he let his curiosity get the better of him, immersed himself too far into the darkness and was corrupted. There's also a theory about Xehanort being connected to the Seventh Foreteller (specifically possessed by), that makes sense, but still might be a bit of a stretch. i know this is right about how naminie is created and when but should there not be a nobody of all the princesses of heart under these conditions? why just one of kairi? that is what gets me confused

okay so my problem was thinking the other princesses were connected to sora's heart but they were part of the keyhole and their hearts are freed from the keyhole not his heart.
