Thinking the exact same thinf. Being born blind is horrible, but to suddenly lose your eyesight as soon as you're reaching adulthood, ugh she must come from a supportive family because she is so strong💜
@@jess_jeff7549 that’s what I thought. Obviously losing your vision at a young age is awful, but then you can grow up like that and adjust to it. If you lose it at 17, it’s such a shock and is even worse because it’s not what you are used to

Foundation is overrated. It looks cakey even on the most flawless skin. I've seen 3 celebs in daylight and audibly gasped at how awful the foundation looked. imagine at 17 suddenly losing your eyesight. it’s the creepiest thing i can think of. lucy has been through it, and nowadays she is truly adapted to it. I’m truly inspired by her way to find her own ways to do everyday things.
My dad was born blind and I was born into the a family with him and my mom who teaches blind people (my dad teaches the blind as well) so personally this makes me happy to see this, I’m glad you are sharing this in a way that shows others that blindness doesn’t stop you.
I’m sighted, so this is different, but the message really hit me. I struggle with severe anxiety and depression and just the idea of getting back up is so powerful. I love your story and following your life because it helps me with my own. And hopefully I’m a better person around my blind classmate who has a guide dog that looks similar to Molly!
Draw near to Jesus Praying for you, Sis 🙏 🤍✝️ It does get better, I PROMISE. I was once severely depressed and Jesus healed me. I do get sad and have "normal" levels of emotions but it's part of life ... not depression.
You are so beautiful and young- things get better in time it’s hard to see that with young eyes unfortunately hindsight is 2020 so it’s easier for me to say but you’ll get there 🤍🤍🤍
I'm struggling too, and I just want to say that there's always someone out there that loves you :) it's not easy getting back up, but it's okay to take the time to figure out how to! Your happiness is worth the effort. Keep doing amazing ♥️
Usually things like that happen slowly. My sister needed glasses since she was little. By 18 my whole family and doctors were discussing if we should declare her blind. Her eyesight got worse over the years and she only sees a blurry mess. She never quite got to the breaking point though, why she still wears glasses. But she could get blind in the future. She never really worried about being blind saying that it won't stop her from living her life and if it's something inevitable so be it. I admire her for that. Edit: she also does her makeup mere inches away from the mirror. Though I think she could do it with her eyes closed since in her words "she just got the feeling for it." Literally.
@@DrizzingSakuras I love her greatly and I remember having offered to help her in case she indeed got completely blind. We have 7 years of an age gap but we still are incredibly close.

Amazing!! I'm sure you hear it from people all the time, but I, as a stranger, want to tell you I am so proud of you for never giving up!! You learned, and I must say, you are damn good at it, too!! As always, much love all!! 💖💕
This was surprisingly emotional to watch. Even tho I don't have the same struggle, this made me realise that I should always get back up when times are hard and to never give up. Thank you Lucy and your beautiful smile at the end made my heart melt😭
I’m just curious.. how did you lose your eye sight at 17? I’m so impressed by how independent you are despite that. I know some people have been blind their whole lives so they adjust well but to have been sighted then lose it must be so much harder.
She explained this in one of her video years ago. You'll need to search the vid if you want more details, but basically she suffers from a condition called Incontinentia Pigmenti (IP). IP is a degenerative nerve disorder, and in her case, it affected her optic nerve. That's why she lost her eyesight after 17 years of being sighted
It seems very poetic so I feel like maybe she wrote it first, kind of like a script so she could say what she really wanted to say in a certain amount of allotted time, that she knew that this video would take, with editing as well, and recorded herself saying it and then afterwards made sure it was dubbed over the video once it was edited. As the finishing touch, so to speak. So I feel like she definitely wrote this like that. And it is very beautiful and poetic.
Honestly this girls message is to never give up and that’s what I love about her she lost her vision but she didn’t give up trying and doing what she loves shes truly amazing

17 years old? I couldn't imagine all that trauma losing my eye sight at that age or lower/higher, I am so glad she can achieve stuff in life when blind, I could never. You're make-up is so godly 🥰🥰🥰
If you lose it at 17, it’s such a shock and is even worse because it’s not what you are used to
That look is BEAUTIFUL. You really owned the look. It accentuates your features, almost, and probably just like, bringing yourself out of your face in an amazing way.

I can't even apply foundation without looking like a ghost from the nineteenth century.
Foundation is overrated. It looks cakey even on the most flawless skin. I've seen 3 celebs in daylight and audibly gasped at how awful the foundation looked. Foundation wasn't even meant or marketed to anyone under 40 until the last 10yrs. Throw a bit of concealer on your problem areas. A bit of powder and call it a day.

how did she lose her eyesight? she was only 17 so that had to be the most traumatic thing to go through
Usually things like that happen slowly.

Guys, don’t be put off of commenting for that reason, she posts on social media, her video has written words, and also I’ve read people saying that she answers comments so don’t worry, she has her ways of reading comments on her videos 😊
Computers can read any text aloud, like a text to speech kind of thing, so she can read comments by herself and other written websites too :)
Maybe copying it to something that makes it read aloud? I don’t have a computer so I wouldn’t know

“When you don’t have working eyes you have to improvise”
Why did that rhyme oml
Holy this blew up lmao I just thought it’d be funny to share it
that’s what i thought😂
It seems very poetic so I feel like maybe she wrote it first, kind of like a script so she could say what she really wanted to say in a certain amount of allotted time, that she knew that this video would take, with editing as well, and recorded herself saying it and then afterwards made sure it was dubbed over the video once it was edited. As the finishing touch, so to speak. So I feel like she definitely wrote this like that. And it is very beautiful and poetic.
