I don't know how it ties into the rest of his filmography, but I was left pretty shaken by the abrupt switch from the honeymoon phase to the harsh reality of betrayal. Ugghh, I hate when cheaters immediately start blaming the other person. It just makes everything worse. Anyway, it was a quality movie for sure. Glad I checked at least one Bergman film off the list.
Watching my favourite screenwriter explain to me how he writes, feels like watching Van Gogh explain to me how he paints.
I haven't watched any of his films yet, but already I love this man.
