I have the 2019 Pilot and we recently got onto an accident. I wanted a Tacoma to replace it, but my wife really lived the Pilot so we met in the middle and got a 2022 Ridgeline RTL. Boy oh boy I'm glad we did. Best driving truck for a family of 4. Camping, road trips, hauling it can do everything with comfort. I don't listen to people saying it's not a truck because they're just brand loyalists and extremists. I've seen a guy bash the Ridgline and praise the Maverick on a different comment 🤣
I just replaced my 6 month old Frontier with a 2024 Ridgeline Black Edition. I've owned almost every midsize truck available... Tacoma, Colorado, Ranger and most recently the Frontier, and they served me well for the most part, but the main reason I switched to the unibody Ridgeline was for more on road comfort. My commute is nearly 2 hours a day and the older I get (almost 55) the more annoyed I've become with how body on frame trucks ride overall. Plus, I don't do nearly as much off roading and such as I use to, so the Ridgeline is more than capable enough for my occasional trail use, although I probably will do a small suspension lift and slightly larger tires eventually. I had to go with the black edition because I want all the creature comforts for my long commute. I love mine so far and I expect to own it for many years, well into retirement. Nice truck!
I agree and this truck is amazing! I also love getting in it and driving around. Such a solid smooth truck and amazing what it can do. I take it camping and tow my 3,000 lbs boat with it. It's most certainly a TRUCK and it does everything very well! I just added 265/60/R18 Firestone AT2's and it drives even better with the additional rubber. Love it!!!
I agree 100 %. My 2020 Ridgeline Sport was purchased before the 2021 came out. I have mine going on a year, & have 2 oil changes done. I get up in the morning and look for a reason to take it for a ride. I got it before the last big snowstorm, and it did Everything i needed, and more. I drive this everywhere, because it’s comfortable getting in and out of. I love the center council, because it holds a full-sized tissue box, handy. Mine is decked out like yours, plus a set of running boards, for my short wife, or Grandchildren. I don’t knock off my hat, getting in or out. I have plenty of room in the back seat for my walker, and my wife’s, when she needs one. I’m 6’2” and 270 lbs, and 75 years old. I’ve got my hands full loading this size truck, and I heard they are still delivering products from retailers. All the truck I needed, and i am the driver, so the seat doesn’t change positions. Electric seats would be a waste of money. I did get a cargo net for the bed of the truck, to keep things from sliding around. I also get 28 MPG on the road. Love the performance! My phone connects to the truck, and gives great sound, and GPS directions.
Mine is a 2020 black edition and absolutely love it… best vehicle I’ve had so far, confortable, practical, easy to park and safe! Agree Brett has very good videos about the Ridgeline… enjoy your truck! Love the 2021 it looks beautiful!
I am glad to see a poss comment about the Honda Ridgeline. I own the 2017 RTS-T and love it. 73000 miles so far. I did not care about all the negative comments and bought the truck anyway. This truck fits my needs. It is one of the safest mid size trucks out there. Just wish they will offer a Hybrid in the future.
I bought a black 21 RTL-E in June last year. It is really a very beautiful truck. As a woman, I didn't want a tall truck that I struggled to get into, so that eliminated most trucks (the Tacoma and Ranger were just that much taller). The seat in the Ridgeline is so comfortable it is like riding in a car. I love the way the back seat folds up but you didn't mention the trunk, which I use to carry groceries. Love my new truck.
It's definitely a truck. And I've owned an F-150 and a Tacoma. Just sold my 2021 Tacoma because it just wasn't comfortable to me and all I need is something that can haul a load of mulch, etc on occasion and be comfortable. I don't tow anything and rarely get off road. Will be taking a hard look at the Ridgeline for the next vehicle.
Wow that's an absolutely beautiful truck I love all the tinted windows the rims now that's what I call a man's truck you haven't driven a real truck until you've driven a Honda Ridgeline and if you drive one of those you're not going back to any other truck don't worry about with anybody says it's a real truck and you love it that's all that matters the people that don't like it or the people that are jealous because you have a real truck they have big square boxes on wheels. I have a 2007 Ridgeline with 160,000 miles on it. does'nt burn a lick of oil. i pull my travel trailer with it, i use it as a contractor 5 days a week. I think it'll be my son's first truck when I buy another one, and the 2021 is what I've been looking at. superb build quality. the ride. the capability. the trunk!! love my truck. glad you do too my friend. I've been a Ford guy for over 50 years. Always had a big truck, currently have a F350 1ton,longbed,6.2L. But now I would consider a Ridgeline or a Tacoma.
If you're over 6' tall, sit in a Tacoma. Then go sit in a Ridgeline. You'll have a ton more headroom and legroom in the Ridgeline. I traded a 2017 Taco in on a 2020 Ridgeline and I love it. For everything I need it for, it's superior.
People are going crazy about the Hyundai (pronounced: HAY-UN-DAI) Santa Cruz and yet they forgot that THIS Ridgeline started it all! Awesome review of the Ridgeline!
Nice video man! Love the rims. I have the 2018 Black Edition. 61k miles and still just as good as when I first got it. Check the maintenance schedule though. Honda is serious when they want you to replace the rear diff oil and transfer case gear oil at 20k. But they make it real easy to do. Also get the ATF drained and filled properly when it asks for that too. They also make it real easy to do that. If you do the maintenance she'll last a long time. I have heard about the trunk door thing but have not had the problem myself. There is a good youtuber named Yuri Matso (or something) that has a video about that.
There's only one complaint to have with the Honda Ridgeline the button transmission selector I absolutely hate it they need to get rid of that the real shifter there I hope for 2025 they put a real shifter get rid of the push buttons once they fix that problem perfect truck enjoy your Ridgeline it's really nice
Since the day my dad got his 2018 Honda Ridgeline I've been in love with it's design. Spacious, comfortable and in the words of my friend, it feels like a space ship when your cruising 70mph. I was fortunate enough to get my very own 2021 Ridgeline in pearl white and it's a beauty. I have a lot of plans on upgrading it's suspension to airbags, installing subwoofers and aftermarket 22" wheels. 😎
I did a lot of careful analysis.I’m a Toyota guy but love my ‘21 Ridgeline Sport. I added the roof rails with crossbars…the dealer bars don’t remove (well they do but it’s harder)…and you do get a bit of wind noise but worth the practicality that I can carry some stuff up there. Couldn’t agree more with you, very comfortable. I also had dealer replace steering wheel with leather-wrapped heated one, smoother. I added a soft tonneau cover and that’s it. I added the all-weather mats too. Loved your review and your patriotism.

You right, I did change my Lincoln MKZ 2014 with all the luxury available, massager on seats, fast premium radio, and this truck is super comfortable and I safe more fuel with my Ridgeline. I love it 😀

Amen Brother! I have the 2017 RTL-E and love it. We are a small fraternity, but a smart one. I get lots of looks at Home Depot when I swing my rear bed door open and load and unload with ease. I do use and enjoy the extra features of the RTL-E. I'm glad I did not compromise and waited for it to become available. I use the in bed audio, sunroof and electrical outlet as other truck owners watch with envy. Keep that in mind if you ever decide to trade! Thanks for the video and enjoy!
I have a 2023 RTL-E.Interior is bigger than a mid-size competitor, smaller than full size. I was buying a Tacoma until i test drove this for comparison. This is a great truck. I'm an ironman, outdoorsman, dad, coach, a friend helping people move...and I tow a camper...so, this is a truck doing everything an uncomfortable gas guzzling not-made-in-America Tacoma does.
I would not buy. It. But i drove it several times. As mercedes mechanic nothing make me more smile than lift up honda its like a kiddy buggy down the hill ..anywho. Ridgeline blew my mechanic mind. And you are absolutely right. Marvel engineering. Excellent. Ride. .
Bro I love the video. I have had every truck under the sun. Worst truck was the taco peice of junk got rid of it after 8 months. But ive had Chevrolets avalanche and a z71 1500,ford rangers two of them 2 dodge Dakotas,3 titans a ram 1500 a few different jeeps including a beautiful gladiatorRubicon that I put almost 50,000 mikes on in the first year. Even had an Isuzu trooper back in 1994 that was a great truck with a manual transmission. I always get a manual when I can which is almost impossible today. I have a beautiful fullsizedbronco black diamond 2 door manual as my off roader and a 2019 black beauty Ridgeline as my daily pickup. It is most certainly a pickup truck period it has all the best qualities of all the trucks i have owned without the negative aspects and its quick fuel efficient comfortable and capable. Unless your a big rig hauling or trailering heavy equipment and need a 250 or 350 and up this truck is more than up for the job, it will do just fine if your a 150,1500 class truck guy and it is by far the best all around midsized truck made and you get honda dependability. It's a good-looking truck to me. I like the wheels too. If you don't need to tow heavy then this is a great truck to get. My mom had a Honda Civic for 14 years and 175K miles that never broke. It did have a bad rear wheel bearing that was replaced in warranty and that's it. Most Hondas are good.
As a Honda fit owner looking to buy a Tundra or F-150 I can appreciate the perspective of this vehicle owner. Although a Ridgeline is not for me this is phenomenal content. Well made
Hello sir, My wife bought me one 2021 Ridgeline sport since 10/16/21 . Now has about 2000 miles on it, we love the ride quality. We reside in Massachusetts, so we Woodwax undercarriage spray. Hopefully it will not rust, we will drive it to Florida in 3 years. Great fuel economy 25 mpg but after side step installed, it dropped to approx 22 mpg. Still love it compare to 5.7 liter tundra. Yes still have my tundra need to tow my 22 ft boat. Stay safe my friend.
I've got a 2021 Sport too. Great truck. I sat in the Colorado, Ranger and Tacoma before buying. No comparison: the Ridgeline is much more spacious and comfortable. At the same time it has a bigger bed, fuel economy and AWD! The handling and acceleration saved my bacon last week when a 18 wheeler merged right into me, forcing me to stomp the throttle and serve in and out of oncoming traffic. Love my TRUCK.

2021 RTL-E owner. Overall suits me. Couple of things though: tough to put a winch on that frame and when off grid near Canadian border in our winter getaway, at very cold temperatures such as -30 the floor heat is not adequate. There are two modes: floor-defrost and floor only. THERE IS NO difference between the two, thus floor heat is always split between floor and defrost. Floor heat outlet IS TINY. Not a problem for most. But in extreme Temps it matters. Dealer says it is designed that way.
I purchased a RTL E when I went to purchased a Toyota Tocoma. The Toyota had a sold sign in the window so I had to get something that day. Well I am happy with the truck as a daily driver. I do have a Ram 2500 diesel but I don't want to drive it everyday. The storage trunk in the backiis great. If I were to purchased another one I would go from the 2018 body style to the much more truck looking style of the HRD package with the dual exhaust and square nose. My only wish is to have the newer style LED headlights. This is my HomeDepot go getter.
I just test drove an Obisdian Pearl Blue Honda 2021 RTL-E...and we fell in love with it. We're outdoor enthusiasts' (camping, hunting, sports, etc...); and have owned a Tundra 4x4, F150 & F250 4x4's and currently own a 1996 Lexus LX450 AWD. We also test drove a Nissan Pro-4X.....but nothing I've owned and test drove compared to the Honda Ridgeline RTL-E. The creature comforts are incredible. The double-jointed tail gate, bed trunk, rear folding seats and so much more are fascinating. Because we enjoy traveling; I know we'll benefit greatly from the Adaptive Cruise Control....to include the supple-leather seating...to name a few. It just so happens that the Obisdian Pearl Blue Honda 2021 RTL-E we're considering has a silver Honda pen stripe, which makes it look awesome. We're sold and will purchase it. Great video, I bought exactly the same thing, color and everything. I added a tonneau cover as well!! So i have a few trucks; I use for work but had a back-up/personal truck that was an F150. I wanted something smaller for more personal comfort. I almost pulled the trigger on the new Nissan but their was a delay in arrival. While waiting I saw a video on long term test trucks driving out in death valley. The Ridgeline had to rescue a Tacoma and a titan. The next morning i called the Honda dealer and they happened to have one being unloaded at the time of the call. I took my 150 down and tested it out. They gave me a great deal on my trade so it was a no brainer. I live in Vermont and its great in the snow and back country dirt roads. I had no regrets.

This is one bad looking beautiful black cruiser pickup. I am seriously considering buying a Ridgeline in a few months. Don’t know if it will be black because Cali gets waay too hot! So white, silver or light blue would be great (white, tan, beige, grey interiors only).

Admittedly, I am a less is more guy when it comes to the gadgets / bells and whistles so this has exactly what I need. Nothing more, nothing less.

In 19’ i almost got the rtl-e. the tacoma trd pro was in line as well. it finally came down to the numbers and the honda dealer wouldn’t budge over their steep markup. toyota was willing to work a deal. taco pro won out and love it so far. at the end of a day their trucks to me and would have been just as happy with the rtl-e. great review on the ridgeline. awesome Truck 🤙
I traded my 2017 Tacoma SR5 4x4 on a 2020 Ridgeline RTL-E. In every way that matters to me, the Ridgeline is superior. It drives better, rides better, handles better, it's more roomy and I have way more adjustment in seating position. It's roomier inside. The features are amazingly useful. I love my Ridgeline. Also: the stock windows aren't tinted, they're dyed... they'll still let in a lot of heat. I haven't tinted my windows yet, but will do the rear doors and rear window with clear film, then have the front doors matched.
The Ridgeline is in my opinion the best pick up truck for most people. I love the Tacoma as well but for different reasons. Most people who buy pickup trucks never drive off pavement or do any off road driving. In fact pickups are now becoming the new family vehicle. Honda was smart to spot this trend and made a truck with the refinement of a luxury SUV, the on road ride quality of an accord sedan, and the utility of a light duty pick up truck. Most people who knock the Ridgeline clearly have not step foot in one or driven one. The interior is enormous with tones of head and leg room, the 5ft bed is nearly completely flat and has an in bed trunk with drain hole which allows it to double as a cooler. The Ridgeline can do some light off road driving too for those camping or fishing trips etc.. but just don't take it over very rugged terrain as it's not built for that. It can also tow up to 5000lbs which is also more than what most people will tow if they even ever tow anything at all. I just wish Honda would produce a lot more of these trucks as they are pretty hard to find even prior to the supply chain issues and chip shortages as they sell quickly. They also retain their value second only to the Tacoma. Buy a Ridgeline and you'll be happy like this dude. Damn this truck in this color is exactly what I would have went for. Enjoy Bro.
I have a 2013 Honda Pilot that I am planning to pass on to my oldest daughter when she starts driving in a couple years. The AWD has saved me a few times from hydroplaning and has been trouble free since; I bought it new. I am planning to replace it with a new Ridgeline. I recommend you try the Hikeit throttle controller for one of your mods. I installed it on my Pilot and it responds like a completely different vehicle. It is well worth the money spent on the upgrade! Nice review as a new owner! Thanks for sharing!
You may look at the chrome accessories that are available. I added them to my 2017 Ridgeline. Chrome door handles, chrome pillers and chrome sideview mirrors. All these just glue on, very easy to install and really dress it up
Beautiful TRUCK! Follow Brett. Got a kick you mentioned him. His RL videos have tapered off since he got the van. But historically he’s always getting different vehicles. Life is short. Bought my RTL-E in March of 20. If I was made aware then of the 2021 redesign I would have waited a while longer. Small regret however as I also love getting in and driving this TRUCK comfortably and feeling safe. Would like to do the tinting but will only chance the front sides. Carry on.
I tried to buy a 2021 Ridgeline Sport here in Ventura County, CA. but there are none available anywhere in this area. The Honda dealer says it could be several months till they get any because of the chip shortage.
I have a white 2019 ridgeline. With the redesign I think I like black better. Really like the blacked out look in the front with no chrome. Nice truck!
Very nice truck. I would pretty much get the same truck, in Black but with the Ally Rims, and Running Boards. I would also get the Window Visors. One thing, in my state you cannot tint the front windows, much less the windshield. But if you can do it, and you see just fine with your windshield tinted, then rock on! And, coming from another 56 year old, enjoy your truck and don't feel like you have to justify the choice you made in picking out this truck/trim. I hope it serves you well!
I'm still rocking my 2009 Ridgeline with 130k on it. Wasn't feeling the nee body styles too much until the 2021 came out, thinking it may be time to upgrade.
I have a 20 RTL-E and feel the same way about mine. Great truck that does really well in the snow. Think Acura super handling all wheel drive and also very safe.
I thought the rear power sliding window is a standard equipment on all models after 2019. I've had trucks with non powered rear sliding window and never ever open them because you just can't when you're driving. I think it's the best thing ever to be able to open it with a flick of a switch especially during the summer or to get rid of a smell in a heartbeat.
Great vid. Just got my 2022 Sport a few days ago and I love this truck. Super smooth ride. I'm 6 ft and it fits me great. I'm also about comfort and this truck is just that. Lost some features going from the 2019 Accord EX but was well worth it and then some.
The one flaw with the Sport trim is 'no power drivers seat'. While the manual seat is not bad, I test drove it, I did sit in a trim level up with the power seats - and damm - it's way more comfortable. The reason being that with the power seats you can push the seat all the way back AND all the way up. This gives much better thigh support. With the manual seat, if you go up - you go forward. Or when you go back you go down. For my 6'-4" frame, I need the seat all the way back. So with the manual seats this means the seat is really low and puts most of the weight on my buns, and barely any weigh on my hamstrings...

Im 25 and love my 21 sport! So exited to drive it every day. Thank you for your sharing. I even find my self taking it over my motorcycle some days!
I've been a Ford guy for over 50 years. Always had a big truck, currently have a F350 1ton,longbed,6.2L. But now I would consider a Ridgeline or a Tacoma.
If you're over 6' tall, sit in a Tacoma. Then go sit in a Ridgeline. You'll have a ton more headroom and legroom in the Ridgeline. I traded a 2017 Taco in on a 2020 Ridgeline and I love it. For everything I need it for, it's superior.

I had a deposit on a Hyundai Santa Cruz until I was able to finally test drive one...I hated the sound of the 4 cylinder engine and opted against it.

Nice video man! Love the rims. I have the 2018 Black Edition. 61k miles and still just as good as when I first got it. Check the maintenance schedule though. Honda is serious when they want you to replace the rear diff oil and transfer case gear oil at 20k. But they make it real easy to do. Also get the ATF drained and filled properly when it asks for that too. They also make it real easy to do that. If you do the maintenance she'll last a long time. I have heard about the trunk door thing but have not had the problem myself. There is a good youtuber named Yuri Matso (or something) that has a video about that.

There's only one complaint to have with the Honda Ridgeline the button transmission selector I absolutely hate it they need to get rid of that the real shifter there I hope for 2025 they put a real shifter get rid of the push buttons once they fix that problem perfect truck enjoy your Ridgeline it's really nice
Since the day my dad got his 2018 Honda Ridgeline I've been in love with it's design. Spacious, comfortable and in the words of my friend, it feels like a space ship when your cruising 70mph. I was fortunate enough to get my very own 2021 Ridgeline in pearl white and it's a beauty. I have a lot of plans on upgrading it's suspension to airbags, installing subwoofers and aftermarket 22" wheels. 😎

I did a lot of careful analysis.I’m a Toyota guy but love my ‘21 Ridgeline Sport. I added the roof rails with crossbars…the dealer bars don’t remove (well they do but it’s harder)…and you do get a bit of wind noise but worth the practicality that I can carry some stuff up there.
Couldn’t agree more with you, very comfortable. I also had dealer replace steering wheel with leather-wrapped heated one, smoother. I added a soft tonneau cover and that’s it. I added the all-weather mats too.

You right, I did change my Lincoln MKZ 2014 with all the luxury available, massager on seats, fast premium radio, and this truck is super comfortable and I safe more fuel with my Ridgeline. I love it 😀

Amen Brother! I have the 2017 RTL-E and love it. We are a small fraternity, but a smart one. I get lots of looks at Home Depot when I swing my rear bed door open and load and unload with ease. I do use and enjoy the extra features of the RTL-E. I'm glad I did not compromise and waited for it to become available. I use the in bed audio, sunroof and electrical outlet as other truck owners watch with envy. Keep that in mind if you ever decide to trade! Thanks for the video and enjoy!

I have a 2023 RTL-E.Interior is bigger than a mid-size competitor, smaller than full size. I was buying a Tacoma until i test drove this for comparison. This is a great truck. I'm an ironman, outdoorsman, dad, coach, a friend helping people move...and I tow a camper...so, this is a truck doing everything an uncomfortable gas guzzling not-made-in-America Tacoma does.
I would not buy. It. But i drove it several times. As mercedes mechanic nothing make me more smile than lift up honda its like a kiddy buggy down the hill ..anywho. Ridgeline blew my mechanic mind. And you are absolutely right. Marvel engineering. Excellent. Ride. .

Bro I love the video. I have had every truck under the sun. Worst truck was the taco peice of junk got rid of it after 8 months. But ive had Chevrolets avalanche and a z71 1500,ford rangers two of them 2 dodge Dakotas,3 titans a ram 1500 a few different jeeps including a beautiful gladiatorRubicon that I put almost 50,000 mikes on in the first year. Even had an Isuzu trooper back in 1994 that was a great truck with a manual transmission. I always get a manual when I can which is almost impossible today. I have a beautiful fullsizedbronco black diamond 2 door manual as my off roader and a 2019 black beauty Ridgeline as my daily pickup. It is most certainly a pickup truck period it has all the best qualities of all the trucks i have owned without the negative aspects and its quick fuel efficient comfortable and capable. Unless your a big rig hauling or trailering heavy equipment and need a 250 or 350 and up this truck is more than up for the job, it will do just fine if your a 150,1500 class truck guy and it is by far the best all around midsized truck made and you get honda dependability. It's a good-looking truck to me. I like the wheels too. If you don't need to tow heavy then this is a great truck to get. My mom had a Honda Civic for 14 years and 175K miles that never broke. It did have a bad rear wheel bearing that was replaced in warranty and that's it. Most Hondas are good.
As a Honda fit owner looking to buy a Tundra or F-150 I can appreciate the perspective of this vehicle owner. Although a Ridgeline is not for me this is phenomenal content. Well made

My wife bought me one 2021 Ridgeline sport since 10/16/21 . Now has about 2000 miles on it, we love the ride quality. We reside in Massachusetts, so we Woodwax undercarriage spray. Hopefully it will not rust, we will drive it to Florida in 3 years. Great fuel economy 25 mpg but after side step installed, it dropped to approx 22 mpg. Still love it compare to 5.7 liter tundra. Yes still have my tundra need to tow my 22 ft boat. Stay safe my friend.

I've got a 2021 Sport too. Great truck. I sat in the Colorado, Ranger and Tacoma before buying. No comparison: the Ridgeline is much more spacious and comfortable. At the same time it has a bigger bed, fuel economy and AWD! The handling and acceleration saved my bacon last week when a 18 wheeler merged right into me, forcing me to stomp the throttle and serve in and out of oncoming traffic. Love my TRUCK.
I love my 2021 Ridgeline also! It’s was my first truck purchase! Went off road and drove in the mountains with snow and it was perfect!
I could have purchased any truck on the market but I decided to buy the 2020 RTL-E Ridgeline and I am not looking back.

2021 RTL-E owner. Overall suits me. Couple of things though: tough to put a winch on that frame and when off grid near Canadian border in our winter getaway, at very cold temperatures such as -30 the floor heat is not adequate. There are two modes: floor-defrost and floor only. THERE IS NO difference between the two, thus floor heat is always split between floor and defrost. Floor heat outlet IS TINY. Not a problem for most. But in extreme Temps it matters. Dealer says it is designed that way.
I purchased a RTL E when I went to purchased a Toyota Tocoma. The Toyota had a sold sign in the window so I had to get something that day. Well I am happy with the truck as a daily driver. I do have a Ram 2500 diesel but I don't want to drive it everyday. The storage trunk in the backiis great. If I were to purchased another one I would go from the 2018 body style to the much more truck looking style of the HRD package with the dual exhaust and square nose. My only wish is to have the newer style LED headlights. This is my HomeDepot go getter.
I have a 2020 Ridgeline and I absolutely love it! The only thing I wish was diffent is the city gas mileage. It can be rough at times.
Shoot, I'm in my 20s and I want one of those Ridgelines. Throw a roof rack and running boards on there and I'd be happy. Nice truck my guy!

I just test drove an Obisdian Pearl Blue Honda 2021 RTL-E...and we fell in love with it. We're outdoor enthusiasts' (camping, hunting, sports, etc...); and have owned a Tundra 4x4, F150 & F250 4x4's and currently own a 1996 Lexus LX450 AWD. We also test drove a Nissan Pro-4X.....but nothing I've owned and test drove compared to the Honda Ridgeline RTL-E. The creature comforts are incredible. The double-jointed tail gate, bed trunk, rear folding seats and so much more are fascinating. Because we enjoy traveling; I know we'll benefit greatly from the Adaptive Cruise Control....to include the supple-leather seating...to name a few. It just so happens that the Obisdian Pearl Blue Honda 2021 RTL-E we're considering has a silver Honda pen stripe, which makes it look awesome. We're sold and will purchase it. Great video, I bought exactly the same thing, color and everything. I added a tonneau cover as well!! So i have a few trucks; I use for work but had a back-up/personal truck that was an F150. I wanted something smaller for more personal comfort. I almost pulled the trigger on the new Nissan but their was a delay in arrival. While waiting I saw a video on long term test trucks driving out in death valley. The Ridgeline had to rescue a Tacoma and a titan. The next morning i called the Honda dealer and they happened to have one being unloaded at the time of the call. I took my 150 down and tested it out. They gave me a great deal on my trade so it was a no brainer. I live in Vermont and its great in the snow and back country dirt roads. I had no regrets.

Admittedly, I am a less is more guy when it comes to the gadgets / bells and whistles so this has exactly what I need. Nothing more, nothing less.
Man weathertech is a God sent” I also didn’t show the bump stop and the mud flaps.
Smart people drive Ridgelines . Even in my sport trim, it’s everything most people will ever need in a truck.

In 19’ i almost got the rtl-e. the tacoma trd pro was in line as well. it finally came down to the numbers and the honda dealer wouldn’t budge over their steep markup. toyota was willing to work a deal. taco pro won out and love it so far. at the end of a day their trucks to me and would have been just as happy with the rtl-e. great review on the ridgeline. awesome Truck 🤙
I traded my 2017 Tacoma SR5 4x4 on a 2020 Ridgeline RTL-E. In every way that matters to me, the Ridgeline is superior. It drives better, rides better, handles better, it's more roomy and I have way more adjustment in seating position. It's roomier inside. The features are amazingly useful. I love my Ridgeline.
Also: the stock windows aren't tinted, they're dyed... they'll still let in a lot of heat. I haven't tinted my windows yet, but will do the rear doors and rear window with clear film, then have the front doors matched.
@@cdf8821 It does, but I don't know what it would be. I'd guess around 35%. I'd think a good tint shop could measure and match it perfectly.

The Ridgeline is in my opinion the best pick up truck for most people. I love the Tacoma as well but for different reasons. Most people who buy pickup trucks never drive off pavement or do any off road driving. In fact pickups are now becoming the new family vehicle. Honda was smart to spot this trend and made a truck with the refinement of a luxury SUV, the on road ride quality of an accord sedan, and the utility of a light duty pick up truck. Most people who knock the Ridgeline clearly have not step foot in one or driven one. The interior is enormous with tones of head and leg room, the 5ft bed is nearly completely flat and has an in bed trunk with drain hole which allows it to double as a cooler. The Ridgeline can do some light off road driving too for those camping or fishing trips etc.. but just don't take it over very rugged terrain as it's not built for that. It can also tow up to 5000lbs which is also more than what most people will tow if they even ever tow anything at all. I just wish Honda would produce a lot more of these trucks as they are pretty hard to find even prior to the supply chain issues and chip shortages as they sell quickly. They also retain their value second only to the Tacoma. Buy a Ridgeline and you'll be happy like this dude. Damn this truck in this color is exactly what I would have went for. Enjoy Bro.

I have a 2013 Honda Pilot that I am planning to pass on to my oldest daughter when she starts driving in a couple years. The AWD has saved me a few times from hydroplaning and has been trouble free since; I bought it new. I am planning to replace it with a new Ridgeline. I recommend you try the Hikeit throttle controller for one of your mods. I installed it on my Pilot and it responds like a completely different vehicle. It is well worth the money spent on the upgrade! Nice review as a new owner! Thanks for sharing!

You may look at the chrome accessories that are available. I added them to my 2017 Ridgeline. Chrome door handles, chrome pillers and chrome sideview mirrors. All these just glue on, very easy to install and really dress it up

Follow Brett. Got a kick you mentioned him. His RL videos have tapered off since he got the van. But historically he’s always getting different vehicles. Life is short. Bought my RTL-E in March of 20. If I was made aware then of the 2021 redesign I would have waited a while longer. Small regret however as I also love getting in and driving this TRUCK comfortably and feeling safe. Would like to do the tinting but will only chance the front sides. Carry on.

I tried to buy a 2021 Ridgeline Sport here in Ventura County, CA. but there are none available anywhere in this area. The Honda dealer says it could be several months till they get any because of the chip shortage.
I have a 2021 sport in white and love it!!! If it wasn't for the chip shortage they'd be selling these trucks like crazy!

Very nice truck. I would pretty much get the same truck, in Black but with the Ally Rims, and Running Boards. I would also get the Window Visors. One thing, in my state you cannot tint the front windows, much less the windshield. But if you can do it, and you see just fine with your windshield tinted, then rock on! And, coming from another 56 year old, enjoy your truck and don't feel like you have to justify the choice you made in picking out this truck/trim. I hope it serves you well!

I'm still rocking my 2009 Ridgeline with 130k on it. Wasn't feeling the nee body styles too much until the 2021 came out, thinking it may be time to upgrade.
I have a 20 RTL-E and feel the same way about mine. Great truck that does really well in the snow. Think Acura super handling all wheel drive and also very safe.
I thought the rear power sliding window is a standard equipment on all models after 2019. I've had trucks with non powered rear sliding window and never ever open them because you just can't when you're driving. I think it's the best thing ever to be able to open it with a flick of a switch especially during the summer or to get rid of a smell in a heartbeat.

Great vid. Just got my 2022 Sport a few days ago and I love this truck. Super smooth ride. I'm 6 ft and it fits me great. I'm also about comfort and this truck is just that. Lost some features going from the 2019 Accord EX but was well worth it and then some.
The one flaw with the Sport trim is 'no power drivers seat'. While the manual seat is not bad, I test drove it, I did sit in a trim level up with the power seats - and damm - it's way more comfortable. The reason being that with the power seats you can push the seat all the way back AND all the way up. This gives much better thigh support. With the manual seat, if you go up - you go forward. Or when you go back you go down. For my 6'-4" frame, I need the seat all the way back. So with the manual seats this means the seat is really low and puts most of the weight on my buns, and barely any weigh on my hamstrings...
