The fastest way to sample from RUclips using Koala Sampler and two other apps in split screen mode.

If you don’t wanna spend the $10. The best trick is to screen record your RUclips/Spotify/splice or any audio. And then “import video” into koala. Or you can also record the sample from the iPad mic while the video is playing.
But I see that this way let’s you sample on the spot

If only koala allowed individual tracks to make it more easier for mixing duties to be able to export each stem. For fast sketching it's such fun. The thing with the IOS audio platform is there are lots of varitions and possibilities with workarounds that many find.
What is the way you do this I’m new to it all I’m looking for new programs or tricks. Any help is greatly appreciated
@@noce8sjm Bolt browser,. Download the track. Open in split sIde mode with koala and audioshare , set the settings in audio share and then an icon appears in koala as AU so that when the track plays. by pressing a pad in koala it samples it. There are youtube tuts on this.Enjoy its all good fun.

For some reason in tube au the video doesn’t show up (black screen) and the audio doesn’t play without me pressing a pad and monitoring. And there are no transport or slide controls in tube au. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hidden trick : you can use RUclips as a sampler in and out of itself! Start the video and press the number buttons on top. Upon release it will trigger the part that you want to go at. Sometimes it's shit cuz you can't change which part of the video the numbers are assigned to, but I've been pretty lucky!

Can you do a video showing how you setup the split screen preset please. Noticed you have it set as default that when you click on Audiobus it opens that way. Please show us how to do that
You have to drag Koala to the task bar. Open it, then open Audiobus and split screen it. Then close koala and then open it in Audiobus. The iPad will remember the last split screen you used with those 2 apps
@@lugo4905 when you say then close koala do you just swipe it so its gone? I’m having trouble as when I try to open koala in aubiobus it just opens in full screen. Thanks!
@@Khordmaster you have to drag koala to the taskbar first. Then swipe up when Audiobus is loaded. Get them to do a split screen. Then load koala in Audiobus. Your iPad will remember this configuration and it will load split screen from then on. Hope this helps
I'm on android. I can get split screen and I was able to record onto a pad from RUclips briefly, but then it just stopped working for some reason. In koala, my recording options are these three: 'record from mic', 'resample from app' and 'import file'. Which of these do I need to use? And how? I don't remember changing anything between when it was working and when it stopped working. I'm baffled and frustrated. Just tried all the and none of them works.
I’m unfamiliar with Android you might have to settle for screen recording to accomplish this
I don’t own Audiobus or Aum yet but could this be done with Aum also? I just don’t know which one I should get so been waiting to decide.
I’m sure it can. There’s better routing in AUM but it’s not worth the price tag for me.
Yes, just add Tube AU as an audio track then Koala as a IAA to an effect slot.

Tube su is an auv3 which means that it needs a host like AUM. You don’t need Audiobus to run it.

Should split screen work with an iPhone 11? iOS 14.3 ? Also when I try to sample from tube au to koala in audiobus once I press play and switch to koala to sample tube au cuts out - any ideas ?

I have audiobus open with koala and tube au running in split screen and tube au audio does not play.any ideas why? or sometimes it plays at first then I sample and nothing after that.
I think there’s a bug with 14 iOS and Audiobus. I’ve reported it to Audiobus - let’s wait for the update.

Just drag up from the task bar like in the video. Should work on any iPad past iOS 12

Since audiobus no longer supports this and AUM doesn’t support split screen, how do you set this up in AUM.
You’d have to size the windows next to each other and then save the two as a blank template.

When I started audiobus, it was split automatically and koala started up. How do you do that?
It will save like that from your last session in split screen mode. In other words, if you’re working in split screen with Audiobus and Koala and then watch a RUclips video, when you open up Audiobus again, it’ll still be in split screen with koala.
I cannot for the life of me open up Koala in Audiobus. I spent over an hour trying to find the answer and it ruined my creative vibe. Sometimes I hate this part of producing music, running into problems and running around online looking for a solution.

I use blocs wave in discovery mode with koala to quickly generate ideas - it almost feels like cheating 😂

Hey Lugo I got the tube Au app and koala I do the split screen it works I hear the sound from RUclips.. but when I hold pad in koala to record and chop no sound loads in to pad it’s a flat line with no samples not sure what am I doing wrong.. does it only record through the live mic on iPad with all the background noise.. that sucks if so.. do I need to download audio share app for it to work right.. is it something in settings thank you any help highly appreciated
I have it in Audiobus 3. The main track has an instance of Tube AU and Koala as an effect. When done right, you should be able to read “IAA” in the input slot where it usually reads “ record from mic”
You can also use AUM to accomplish this but you won’t get true split screen

Is this the right steps 1-launch Audio bus 2- pull in koala from dock pulling all the way right fir split screen 3- load koala sampler in effect on audio bus then am stuck? There’s only 3 things- record from mic, resample from app and import file.. do I gotta put headphone 🎧 monitoring on? This is frustrating sorry o brother you.. @@EdeSpaghetti1979 yes. Those are the right steps. You have to use record from mic - but it should read IAA. Then turn on the headphone monitor to hear the audio

AudioShare will not load auv3 plug-ins, so I would suggest Audiobus or AUM. However, AudioShare is a great tool to have for file management

How are you splitting your screen like this? On the IPad
You need iOS 13 and above. Then drag koala to the task bar. Then, whenever you want to do split screen, drag koala up from the task bar.

AUM is more flexible. You can do more with it, but it’s a bit more complicated. There are many tutorials on how to use it though.

Well, it was bound to happen. You can always you an app like beat time or just screen record and open in Koala the old fashioned way. You can still record other auv3’s with this methods though 👍

Sorry, but cannot be done on Android. There is a new “Samples” section that you can split screen your files and koala sessions

It is not necessary to type copyright free every time you search for an instrument
If you use music that gets your video a copyright strike from RUclips then it doesn't count towards monetization
