Like many have said here, I really hope we have a chance one day to make this man the president. I have voted for people on both sides of the aisle and I don’t think I have ever in my life supported a politician more than I support Pete.

“Mayor Pete” was the 33rd mayor of South Bend, Indiana-where I was born. My father, Jack Scott (a Republican), was the 22nd mayor of South Bend. I’d vote for Buttigieg in a heartbeat.
The Dems have such a deep bench of presidential contenders. This was a masterful speech.
To be fair, the bar has been set so low thanks to the other side. When decency, respect and intelligence are qualities we should expect, but infact long for.

My only apprehension for Pete as Secretary of State is that he would be making deals with many countries where homosexuality is taboo. Russia, Palestine, China, etc. It could hinder negotiations. Maybe it wouldn't matter that much, but Secretary of State is too important of a position to jeapordise for the sake Pete's political gain. That being said, he would no doubt be absolutely fantastic on foreign affairs with Western countries. France, UK, Australia, etc, he would do a great job.
He will also be President of the United States one day. Possibly 8 years from now? That would be absolutely fabulous!

What has he accomplished ?
I am a big Buttigieg fan, but I've got to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by his speech tonight. Normally, Buttigieg is a more subdued, unflappable speaker in his other TV interview appearances on Fox News, congressional hearings, other News channels, etc. He always seemed to maintain his composure, never had to raise his voice to make a point, and always remained calm, cool, and collected.
But tonight seemed to call for a more boisterous, "pep rally" presentation, and I was somewhat worried that he might seem out-of-step with the other speakers and that he might come across as kind of "too cool for school". But he rose to the occasion and assumed just the right tone for the evening. He proved that he could be boisterous and "enthusiastic" enough when necessary. I also loved that he leaned in to the idea that he "owns Fox News", a wonderful reputation for a Democrat to have. Nicely done Pete!
His recent daily show appearance has him the most emotional hea ever come across in some time....could tell he nearly curses at one point even but catches himself and softens it but the emotion/desire was there for sure
This is why Pete should have been the nominee.
"Vote Blue No Matter Who" gave us a president who quit after 3 1/2 years. Why the GOP even gained the House at all in 2022.

Pete's words on wondering, as an anxious teenager if he would ever find belonging in this world is so powerful. We've all been there, and there are thousands, if not millions of people asking the same question today! We all have a purpose, every life matters and we can find belonging and one person can make a difference. We need to look for the good in each other and draw the best out of each other. Positivity is contagious. It can be as simple as a smile to change the course of a person's day. Be that person today.
After 9/11 we all came together. We shouldn't need another disaster to come together again.
If you are a Republican as I was until Trump. I love this country too much to see him in office again and for the sake of so much please take a moment to consider your values and see if they match the person you want to put in charge of running our country.
