Usually that is a throw-away compliment, but in his case it’s very apt.
After Kamala's 2 terms are over, I can see a Pete Buttigieg as president. It will be 2032 and the country will be a whole new world where the climate will overwhelm every other concern, and he will be ultimately qualified to help us. If I live that long, I'll be 82, and it will have been a privilege to see a gay man reach such heights! He's my hope for the future!

Progress: the first Black/Jamaican American and South Asian/Indian American woman has a very good chance to be President of the United States which has never happened before. So why not a Gay man being the first to make history as the future President of the United States.

If I remember correctly, Pete can speak 7 languages. I think someone who can speak to some people in their own language, as well as communicate as clearly and effectively as he can, should be Secretary of State. Maybe POTUS after a good long SoS stint

@@untergehermuc it’s owned by Axel Springer Verlag, which owns different outlets and platforms (I.e. the tabloid Bild“ - which has a target group similar to Fox. But also „Welt“ „business Insider“ and others. Target groups are a bit different. With that said - I try to take care and consider where information comes from and how it shall be put in context. I do not agree with all of what Pete is doing and saying but I do appreciate the general attitude towards differing opinions and views. Trying to understand, to learn and to develop common solutions where at best the result is more than the sum of the single parts. I wish more politicians could master such approach. America and the world would be far better of.

Wren has covered Pete since his first appearance at the convention of the Indiana Democrats in 2010.

They don’t come any more talented and articulate than Pete. How could anyone compare him in any way to Vance who has proven by his own acts and words that he is antithesis of Pete. While Pete handled the question with his usual grace and skill, I found even the question inexplicable and offensive.

The interviewer kept listing potential future jobs for Pete, I think he skipped the most obvious one of all. I like Anthony Blinken, but Pete would be PERFECT for Secretary of State.

I know this is way off topic for this video but Pete Buttigieg is a frigging AWESOME musician. He plays a wicked piano, guitar, and harmonica. There's a video floating around here on YT showing him demonstrating his musical skills. There are short clips of him playing Rondo alla Turca by Mozart, Piano Man by Billy Joel, and the Charlie Brown Theme. As if there wasn't enough to like... Pete, if you're watching, man, we need an album release date!

Pete “rocketed to the national stage” by force of his undeniable sharp intelligence and gifts of communication.
JD Vance got there because he is the puppet of Peter Thiel (and all strings, no spine).
There is no real comparison between the two: Pete continues to show he is all about service (didn’t get the VP nod but hasn’t missed a step doing everything he can); JD is all about self-serving.
