      @rosemarycreollo4326 11 месяцев назад

      During a big move long ago , I lost the hook I was using on my first afghan. So I picked up the size hook called for in the pattern - WRONG! I learned the HARD way to note the hook size I use on every pattern. So I guess it was a good thing? I love chainless foundations and use them whenever the first row doesn't use mixed or skipped stitches.

    Very important Crochet tips; Thank you! Nice camera work, too!
    Personally, I have my Crochet Hooks listed in my Contacts under Crochet, in my smart phone.
    Likewise, I have my Allergies listed in my Contacts under A, & * it, as then it shows up on my short contact list before the A-Z names.
    Listed my current medications under M & * it.
    USE: ICE to list 1 or more names & phone numbers for: "In Case of Emergency".
    In the USA, Emergency Responders are supposed to have been trained to look there, @ the very beginning of your Cobtacts list on your cellular phone, for whom to call to notify that person of your Emergency.

    • @TuulaMaaria
      @TuulaMaaria  11 месяцев назад +1

      Great idea to list in contacts! I keep lists like that in my Google drive that is easy to access on all devices.
      We use the ICE too but not much anymore because nobody would keep their phone screen unlocked so no one can access my contact list.

      With your joining yarn method, does that bulk up the stitches unevenly if you're using up scraps or changing colors frequently?

    • @TuulaMaaria
      @TuulaMaaria  Год назад +1

      @@jennasorscia9044 It depends on how frequently and also on what weight the yarns are. If you change yarns all the time, it will make either bulky or hard spots regardless of how you finish off the ends. This doesn't behave differently in that sense.

    New subscriber!! Your channel just popped up in my RUclips feed, and I'm so glad I clicked to watch!!! I'm going to enjoy watching all your videos. I taught myself to crochet from a Red Heart booklet when I was 11 yrs old; that was 56 yrs ago. Then 11 yrs ago a friend helped me learn to knit. I love knitting, but crochet will always be my first love!

    Very helpful. Thank you. The straight edges tip was good for me and also the first chain row where you make the sc or dc at the same time. For my tip - when I leave my work I just make my working loop really big - seems to work fine. Thanks again.
