He actually transformed the whole station into glass golems once. Glass golems take much more brute damage - they shatter in 3 hits from ling mutated arm. It was so effective that coders removed dna mechanic from golems completly.

Changelings can still revive while on fire. It's FLESHMEND that's disabled while you're on fire (or rather, the healing from it is disabled while you're on fire), not reviving stasis.
