As a 27 year old creating a new life from the east coast to now Alaska this song resonates hard. Find your happiness folks. It gets better when you find your peace
I'm 16 right now, 17 in two weeks- the other day my mom heard a John Denver song coming from my headphones, and asked me to play it out loud. She told me how she used to listen to John Denver when she was my age on vinyls and cassette tapes, and told me how 'she and John used to sing duets'. It's not really revolutionary, but it's a blessing to be so tied to my mother in ways I never knew- I'll love her forever and treasure these little memories and songs we share🫶 Edit: I've received so many sweet messages, and so many from parents especially🫶 y'all are all such blessings and your kind words brighten my day so much. I just wanted y'all to know I see y'all and I appreciate y'all, and I know your kids and teens do too. Even if we fight with you guys, and say hurtful things, we still love you. I promise even when we try and act tough, the first thing we think when something goes wrong is "I want my mom and dad." If you've got a rocky relationship with your teenager, just know that they really do still love you. I really believe love always wins in the end, and one day y'all will find peace with each other. family (and parents especially) are a blessing🩷
Nah. You do need to move on past that but she knew her shit. Denver was a badass. At this point it's not about her, she showed you a glimpse of truth. Now see it for yourself.
I met him in Canada up in Jasper Forest, he sang with my Auntie Anne Murray. I know what this song is about...moved here for it.. someday y'all may understand the ..shhhh...plan

You switch the AM radio on this song comes on and It drowns out the sound of the blower motor and the bias ply tires that have been whining on the highway the whole trip. Both of you are wearing you flannel jackets and base ball caps.
The sun is just getting ready set and your exhausted. You lean up against the window sill and doze off, fishing poles shaking and occasionally bumping your bags full of supplies and dream of what your gonna see this season. John Denver seemed to cherish life so much, he genuinely enjoyed the opportunities his success and fame brought to him, and he enthusiastically shared so many of those experiences with the rest of us in an unaffected way.
@@bonnenaturel6688 She was likely another one of these brawds that preaches about "wanting equality" but couldn't scrub a fork to save her life. I'm 60 years old know but I still Love John's music and I guess I always will I didn't know until near his death that he was a alcoholic but I'm still devoted to his music no matter what happened to Me John. I have often wished I could be more like him in terms of preserving wild nature land's that included lot's of wildlife. I still miss John to this day 😮
To go back to when this was new and everything was so beautiful, I cry when I see what we've done to this home of ours since then . John knew and seen how beautiful it is and was, almost as if he was tuned into it
There was nobody like John Denver. He was the most kind sweet humble man on Earth!!! We all grew up singing all his lovely folk songs. And we even have the movie he was in, called, "Oh God". I recommend yall watch it. It's a crying shame what happened to him in 1999.
John Denver!!! Very much in his soul loved lived for nature all animals genuiness, I believe he got more from nature than all the money fame in the world!!!! He sang the performing didn’t last for long , his real home was far away because that was nature he wanted the most He died in a light plane wanting to fly like an eagle like he always sang about!!! Only reason he performed was to pay the bills!!! But on his heart it was nature that made him most happy and to sing about!!! ….. folks, animals are not full of greed and John like me love that very much!!! John was the real deal!! Good person!!!
Just watched 3 days and 2 nights where n 1974, Politician Bill Godfrey and wife died in a plane crash in Aspen although their two children Mark and Andy Godfrey went to survive 3 days two nights alone with their parents and pilots bodies in the plane wreckage barely making it and one loading his legs. It was a Miracle they were found alive at all. I guess their dad bill before the accident would come into their bedrooms and sing and play on guitar for them John Denver songs specifically Rocky Mountain High and Sunshine. Especially before their big ski trips like this one to get them excited While recovering and dealing with the death of their parents and loss of limbs. John Denver made it a personal mission to visit the 8 and 11 year olds as much as possible they say about six times or more and they actually at 40 years old still have recordings of them at 8 & 11 in the hospital bed singing with John Rocky Mountain High and Sunshine on my Shoulder. This for me spoke on what kind of a man John Denver was. God bless all five in that crash survivors and those lost and god bless John for being so humble to make a difference these men who had blocked a lot of the memories from those days still remember vividly. ❤

I'm 60 years old know but I still Love John's music and I guess I always will
I didn't know until near his death that he was a alcoholic but I'm still devoted to his music no matter what happened to Me John.
I have often wished I could be more like him in terms of preserving wild nature land's that included lot's of wildlife.
I still miss John to this day 😮
To go back to when this was new and everything was so beautiful, I cry when I see what we've done to this home of ours since then . John knew and seen how beautiful it is and was, almost as if he was tuned into it
More people. More scars upon the Land.
Very spiritual vibe. love it.
I remember listening to John Denver back in the early 70's. I was on 8 years old. But those songs take me back to my childhood
There was nobody like John Denver.
He was the most kind sweet humble man on Earth!!!
We all grew up singing all his lovely folk songs.
And we even have the movie he was in, called, "Oh God".
I recommend yall watch it.
It's a crying shame what happened to him in 1999.
I first heard this song as a youngster and have always found it haunting and beautiful from it's opening line.
Timeless!.. beautiful song 👍🎵🇳🇿
A beautiful man with a beautiful voice. 🙏🏾👑♥️🎸🎤🌹🌹🌹
From México! I loved this song and all music of John Denver...
When I was a child my father listened to them and I grew up with them
Moved to Colorado and work at a home. We watched John Denver music videos and they were crying so hard that now, I cry for these videos too
Ich liebe diesen Song, dass gibt mir Freiheit. Danke Gruß Marco Thomas
I love me some John Denver! I love all of his songs. His music is very much alive in my heart!
What a story. I didn’t know it. Thank you.
JD forever baby. A legacy higher than the rock mountain highs of Colorado…
