Great job in the war! I'm 100% with you that players should be able to see the map instead of having to Google some locations before accepting territories. Fantastic series.
Corvettes 500 tons and under are considered civilian vessels like trawlers brought into service then demobilized at end of war. You’ll note their build times are extremely short because they are considered refits of existing vessels.
Or perhaps you could've just made those old Izumi class ships Foreign station capable, they would just be there for that only and perhaps trade protection since they're so old
Any ship can be put on foreign station, but those with the "colonial" design designation count for more tonnage requirement. Unfortunately that can not be retrofitted, but must be used when first building the ship. Smaller ships count for disproportionally less.
Oh sure. Great fan of the game. What I do like to do though is generally mix it up, so I would likely look at a very different start & strategy. Maybe Spain? Or Austria-Hungary in 1890 start?

Yep. I noticed that. Now. 😅
In the old games it was possible to start a new instance of the game to look at the map during peace negotiations, it might work in this one as well.
That is one curious work-around :D Although at that point, I might as well start Google Maps...

Do you have any intention of doing a second campaign after this one?
