It does feel like an accomplishment to finish a good, long book! I’ve always thought of War and Peace (and sort of Anna Karenina) as the Russian Downton Abbey but instead of going from upstairs to downstairs it goes from upstairs onto the battlefield.
Loved as always! I felt very similar about The Familiar, which ended up being a very average read for me. I just finished Babel and feel like my entire life has changed.. If you haven't read it already I think you'd love it!!!
Thank you so much!! Glad you agreed on The Familiar! Unfortunately I didn’t get on with Babel as much as I’d hoped I would! I wish I could have loved it
❤️📚❤️ Great reviews! I added Red Sister to the list. Thanks. I've started The Fortnight in September by R.C. Sherriff ( because September), but it's also blurbed by Kazuo Ishiguro!
15 books. Wow, how do you possibly do it? Finally finished Enter Ghost. I really thought it was worth reading. I think a reread would be beneficial. Not sure you could call it enjoyable but it was artistic and thought provoking. I also read James and enjoyed that a lot more. It probably will win The Booker Prize.
I need to know... Is RUclips your exclusive job? I've read 15 books in a month. But, War and Peace was not one of them! How do you have time for all this reading?
I work freelance! So definitely have a lot of time to read, but it took me longer than a month to read war and peace, for example in June I only read 5 books!
you know it’s gonna be a good day when lydia posts
This makes me so happy!!!!
Going to sit back and enjoy your channel completely blow up in the near future. Your aesthetic, your point of view, your range, chef's kiss 💚
This made my day 🥹💚 thank you!!!!
Let's all just ignore the editing mistake when I was talking about Sword Catcher? Oops!!
I had to go back and check because i didn’t notice it the first time!
LOVED the glass castle.
It was so good!!

I had to keep reminding myself that glass castle was NON FICTION - absolutely insane
Same!! It was such a wild ride!!
Multiple 1000+ page reads in a month! Couldn't be me bestie 😂
I don’t know how it happened 😅 some took multiple months to be fair, and I just finished them this month!

Tolstoy's War and Peace - only on book 13 but the end is in sight now. Blows the rest out of the water. ❤

What is grumpy sunshine as a trope?
It's usually an opposites attract situation, where one in the relationship is always sad/grumpy, and the other is happy/sweet natured!
@@LydLoves oh ok thanks 👍🏻
