Thanks, the only slight worry is that is one of better edited videos from my early attempts! Hopefully it's getting slightly better as I go but yes, want to keep it honest and down to earth.
For the Australian evenings of golf and weekend comps, I've had this bag work for me. Like most things and with time, its becoming a fairly natural bag to use. Negative: 13 clubs, with leather grips and head covers is proving to be a pain. But overcome with a tilt and less O.C.D. Main pocket: Mini first aid kit, lightweight throw-over, wind/rain jacket, valuables (internal pocket) Secondary main: Balls, tees, markers, tool Drink holder: Self explanatory. Can cope with different size bottles, up to 1Ltr. Well thought out. Side mesh: Snacks Clip: Rangefinder, brass brush, towel Umbrella holder: Whats an umbrella? ; ) I think this minimalist approach is fantastic. Straight out of the boot, sling it over and off you go. You carry the essentials and require no more.
Hope that helps anyone. I think its incredibly well thought out and a breeze to carry, with the plump shoulder straps. Intelligent design and wont look back. Not cheap, but not built cheap either.
Hi, I'm concerned about the water storage. I live in a desert in California. Cold I'm not worried about, or rain. The clubhouse does not allow those puppies or any bags inside. Can this serve as my sole bag, if I'm a beginner? I rarely ride the golf carts. TY.
If you don't need any extra clothing, then , yes I think you could use this as your only bag. But if you ever go somewhere on holiday golfing where you do need extra clothing then ,no.
@@golffm6924 I drink about 3-4 pint bottles of water during 1.25 hours of tennis; but there is more running. I could always refill. 100 F. in summer. 🏜️ I have ice chest in car.
I absolutely love this video!!! I’m a bit weird and obsessive about pencil bags and am yet to find the perfect one. You sum up everything which is great and crap about this bag. If you took the Moonlite’s strap and club section, the Titleist’s apparel pocket, and the TM Quivver’s stand with a bit of Jones styling someone would nail it… Love The Glen - happy memories playing there. 👍
I like to carry and walk but occasionally use a trolley or buggey. Would it work on one of those? perhaps with an umbrella in to add structure? cheers!
I think it could actually. You'd have to make sure it had tight bungee cords or something to hold it securely at the top , that would be the main issue I think.
You were trying to put the range finder in the drinks pocket! That's why it didn't fit and neither did your drink. I have this bag and it's awesome. Plenty of room for everything you need. Especially if you actually fold up or roll up your waterproofs
Yes it is a good bag, I suppose you can mix and match a bit with pockets, I was just trying to find what worked best. It all goes in one way or another Thanks for watching by the way.
I think the clue is in the name of this bag, Moonlite. The sort of bag that you put a few clubs in to play a few holes after work when there isn't much light left and it therefore saves time not having to faff about with a trolley etc. You should know what clothes to be wearing for a few evening holes so therefore no need to carry extra. I have this bag hanging in my locker at the club. I keep a glove, a few tees and 3 balls in it so that I can grab and go for a few holes. For regular rounds, this is not the bag...
I've got a Callaway version of this I got years ago and it has better pockets yet its the same weight and size. Just means there are more options, say you take it on holiday and want to put two sets in one travel cover for the flight, when you get there you've got a more versatile bag if you've got a bit more pocket space. I dont think it would be difficult for Ping to improve it slightly and it could still function as you use it but would give someone else more options for other occasions. I still like it a lot this bag and you're right essentially it does what it sets out to do.
No offense but if yer looking for a larger pocket you should get a larger bag. I have owned this bag and this a great MINIMALIST bag. I use this when I plan on taking: my rain shirt or windbreaker, maybe 10 or 11 clubs, a few sleeves of balls , gps or range finder and that's it. The water proof bottom is great keeps everything dry.
Interesting, it didn't feel like that to me. I know what you mean it is a bit congested with 14 clubs but I've always managed okay with this type of bag in the past.
Great video man. Thoroughly enjoyed the lack of editing, get very honest and down to earth.

Thanks, good to hear about real world trials, is the First Aid kit for Snakes and Spiders!? I take a single band aid and that's it
Definitely well made.

@@golffm6924 hi looks like enough water fits inside. Strangely, it feels comfortable with 6 clubs in it.

Sounds like a good business idea, you should do that. Thanks for watching.

@@golffm6924 Lol come on bro you know you were wrong on the drink pocket, just own it…
That aside you make good videos.
do you wish if there was a mini stand like on the Titleist premium so the wedges don't hit the ground?
@@lonestar5988 came to the comments for this exactly haha - just gotta own it! The drink sleeve is perfect too!
Does it stand upright, or just lay flat on the ground?
It just lays on the ground, there's no stand mechanism at all and it can't balance upright. The spine only runs halfway down the bag.
@@golffm6924 would you say that you could pack it down and bring it as a second bag in your travel bag?

Very informative & thorough. Cheers
Thanks, glad you liked it. Cheers
Love my velcro glove spot on my bag, we are out there!
I'm going to start looking out for it, see if I can spot a velcro fiend
@@golffm6924 since I started using it my gloves dry out and don’t get all crumpled in a pocket or bag. They last longer too.
I hang my glove on it when I’m done with my round
I'm in how many dollar bucks?
About £100 , so maybe pretty close to that in dollar dollar bills. Yall.
It doesnt work with more than 10-11 clubs cause more than that it gets really crowded and extremely top heavy so impossible to carry.
Interesting, it didn't feel like that to me. I know what you mean it is a bit congested with 14 clubs but I've always managed okay with this type of bag in the past.
@@golffm6924 its hard to get weight at the bottom, like more than 1 liter bottle. Excellent for 10-11 clubs or less
@@openminded1923 I find a sand bottle helps with ballast.

You forgot the golf balls……but I guess they are not important
Yes, possibly should have shown that!
The PING Regressive. For the golfer who wants to make a $200 mistake.
I do know what you mean, it is expensive.
