My dad was the old guy in the blue shirt talking to Tony, "If more people knew this place would be packed right now," I was the kid in the xxl cowboys jersey with my brother in the red shirt in the same shot. We were leaving wal mart, and the bus drove past. My dad didn't exactly drive fast, but it was one of the only times I saw him drive "aggressively," to make sure we were right behind the bus and didn't miss a turn. He was in his early 60's, but a serious fan of skateboarding, because of his sons and his love for them and anything they (we) loved. He was freaking out like a kid with the rest of us, saying stuff to me like "did you see Bam just do a kickflip as if he didn't even notice?" And then he went home, about a mile (this is my childhood park!) to get my board and my brother's board, and stopped at a store on the way back to buy sharpies and disposable cameras. Ultimate dad. I'm positive that this was one of the best days of his life. On a weekend where he had us (we lived with mom about 5 hours away) he got to personally bring us to our "idols" or at least our favorite athletes, I had Bam sign my Bam deck while I wore Bam shoes and didn't even know he was gonna be there, and dad got to make it happen. I saw this episode two years after, before school one day on espn2. Found it again last year, refound it now, with the added bonus that at least watching the grand junction part in .5 or .25x speed is freaking hilarious, and then cabron is heartwarming. Sorry for the feelings and stuff, but the few seconds of him talking to Tony at the very end of this video are the only recording I have of his voice, and I have photos, but this is the only video that I'm sure exists of him.
James Gilbert i have no words dude, I’m sorry about your dad, I’m sure he was an amazing person. Thanks for your comment, I’m sure that was a day you’ll always look back to and fill you with happiness and warmth. May that stay the same!

Words I’ll never forget
Back when Bam Margera was still a sick skater!
I saw Alex Chalmers frontside the biggest gap at the Proving Grounds Skatepark in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Hanging out on the roof, drinking beer with those guys was super fun.
I’ve been searching for this video for over a decade just to see Bam skate down the wall inside of a hotel.
There’s something about early 2000s skateboarding
In general 90s and early 2000s must have been one of the best times since the big bang
Yup that was the time when skating was at its peak
The music the people deff was a great time
Really was yet another rebirth of 🛹
It really was. THPS games and X Games helped out a lot. Amazing times.
Mike V is Phil Anselmo on wheels! One of the most badass skaters of all time.
