- Hey guys, thanks for watching! Just a quick video from my time at Metaldays Slovenia, I had an awesome time there, if you want to see more of what we got up to, check out the highlighted story on my instagram! @mr_theo_miller
The master mute trick before the chorus was sick dude!
Cheers mate! I started doing that after too many shows where there was too much stage noise/guitar amp coming through in the silent mute, 'You want a mute? I'll give you a mute'
This was back when we were using real amps and cabs so any string noise loud enough to open the noise gate would make it sound like trash! This band are all on kempers now so its less of an issue, i still mute LR when they play this song just for bants though!
Simple and effective! yeah.. happens even more in smaller venues and blasted monitors. thank god kempers exist. Cheers!
Very informative😂 a dancing, headbanging mixing process, listened on camera sound ... 😆
However I liked your previous walkthrough video about Pro II...
Thanks so much for sharing! This is incredibly insightful!
Cheers mate, thanks for watching
I have Seen your Presentation of your smaller pro2c with all knobs, faders 😊
Good and fast Job 😊
Very cool perspective
Joey Ferris cheers man! Got a few more similar videos on my channel if you wanna check out more!

poodlelord cheers man! If you like what you see I’ve got more behind the scenes/foh perspective vids on my channel
I feel sick
Tap Delay And may i ask You, What do you put in vca and pop groups. Colouring drums red?
With this show I was just using the house show file! But it was set up very well so nice and easy
Hey man, I am also engineering at my location and I would like to share videos like this for feedback. So I am wondering how did you get this camera angle? what camera and mounting devices are you using?
It’s just a GoPro with the larger clip you get with it, stuck in my mouth haha
the audio in this is really bass heavy and i'm sure unrepresentative, great vid to see what you are doing though.
joe clifford yeah man it’s all just audio off of the gopro, but I do also mix with a fairly heavy low end!
What mics do you use live? Do you have a set-up video? I'm currently studying at college and we use the MIDAS M32 which is a fucking sick console. I don't really get to do much metal so I haven't be able to experiment with it yet.
Hey man, sorry for the late reply i totally missed this comment!
For this show in particular we were using one of the house drumkits, which was already mic'ed up with the festival's mic pack, so ill run over that first followed by what i personally own and use on most other shows. I haven't made any sort of setup video as it changes pretty often, but there are small clips about it in some of my videos, for example in 'TechFest 2017 BEHIND THE SCENES!' you can see an earlier version of the mic pack from around 5:20. Hope your studies are (or 'were' pre covid) going well, the M32 is an awesome console!

Hey dude can u contact me on social media?
@@raiju160 Sure bro, my instagram is @mr_theodore_miller hit me up!
2 years later, LOL
What band was it? Thanks!
Exist Immortal!
Main Stage??
isn't it at night??
No second stage?
@@TheodoreMiller idk
does every band have their own sound guy if they can afford one of course or is there only 1 sound guy for general mix, for the crowd, like this video? I've seen that big bands have their own sound guy on stage with mixer and all and there's the other one like you in this video.
So with this particular band they hire me and i travel with them and only mix their set, but there is also an 'in house' engineer who will mix any bands that dont have their own guy/gal as well as assist touring engineers like myself. On top of this there is a 'monitor engineer' on stage as you mentioned, that guy's job is to mix the sound for the band on stage, so each musician has their own monitor wedge/in ears, and the guy on stage just has to keep them all happy (arguably a harder job than mixing for the audience!)
@@TheodoreMiller thanks!
Song?
'Behind the eyes', (old version, unreleased) Into 'Omen Machine' from Darkness of an Age
What is the name of the band bro?? They are good even I didn't heard better but they sounds goods
Exist Immortal from UK
@@TheodoreMiller thanks
im sorry bro, but i cant hear the difference while u press the buttons :(
Well you shouldn't hear that 😀
The goal is that nobody notices the difference
If you don’t know what the buttons do you’ll struggle to notice the difference lmao, it’s not a sample pad or a cdj haha
