This game is ripe for the return of Qurupeco. We have to separate boss monsters from their packs? Let Qurupeco call for backup and be that invader monster messing up your hunts once again! If we're getting a lot of bugs there should at least be one bird raptor capable of hunting them right? Along with Qurupeco I'd love to see Malfestio come back. It could serve as a predator for all these bugs with it's ability to go invisible. Heck, give me back Yian Garuga!

Something I don’t see enough people mention is how Lala Barina might be based on is the Flatwoods Monster with a very similar general silhouette and the long three fingered arms
Interesting comparison, I actually got Malenia vibes from Elden Ring when I first saw it. especially from it turning into a rose similar to Malenia's 2nd phase flower attack, even the name of environment that Lala Barina resides which is the Scarlet Forest.
There could also be some Rose Hair Tarantula. (The Rose being the obvious part here.) But also, Rose Hair Tarantulas use their hind set of leges to flick their hairs at potential predators which acts as an irritant. (Think nature's fiberglass.) We see Lala Barina do this exact move in the trailer.
1 thing about Wilds, the game name as well as the place called the Forbidden Lands live up to the names in the monster design. As in while New World monsters were more sleek and understandable vibes, like dinosaurs, lizards, goats, etc., all of the Forbidden Lands monsters' are sorta alien/gnarly in design while still using real-life animals as base. Rey Dau with its mandibles, wing-scythes, etc., Doshaguma being huge, eye-less and opening their mouth big enough to chomp up a hunter in one bite, Balahara with the 3-way split jaw and eyes on its gums... ironically the frog that attaches rocks to its hands using saliva feels the normal one here. Did they confirm whether catching endemic life and fish for our base will come back ? If so ill pre order immediately. My favorite part about mhw was catching all the endemics and their big and small crowns.....well. and the living worlds thing. It was pretty nice to just follow a pukei around the forest. But if i gotta choose one it'd be the endemic life pet thing. Gotta catch em all.
I got really sad as i noticed that many ppl complaining about the change wearing male/female armor in chat of the livestream. I for myself thought about all these cool new options for making nice sets with some cool stuff from the male sets. I'm so excited for this game, i think even more as i was for world.
Because it's 'woke'. Guarantee people are gonna lose their shit when the game comes out and it's not male and female anymore but 'masculine' and 'feminine' armor or just type a and type b. Have to shit on the queers 24/7 for breathing, don't ya know?
Yeah, honestly, I see the armor change as an absolute win and makes fashion hunting even better. Like if you want a girl to be decked out in full armor but "female" legs piece have the thigh gap, you can wear "male" version of that armor legs. If you're a male player who wants to show off, wear some "female" armor. Or just mix and match. I think this will be really fun.
What wasn’t everyone asking for that? Like thats one of the most asked for QOL changes people wanted there’s literally no downside to having it besides not knowing what to use for fashion hunter
Hey Rage, the Seikret is not prounounced secret (See-Crit) it's pronounced (Say-Crit). Go watch day 2 of the live stream from the MH team, they say it several time. Keep up the word learning Rage!
There is also a little lizard like creature that we cant see really well at the beginning of the third trailer (He is on the top left, on the tree on the foreground and he moves from down to up on the tree).
Can you guys do a video on the changes they made to insect glaive regarding aerial combat. The removal of aerial rebounds is a real gut blow, especially coming from the amazing aerial combat in Rise. From what I've seen, there really isn't aerial combos anymore. Just a single attack, and you're back to the ground. Ultimately the objective of a game should be to have fun, and I dont think this change embodies that objective whatsoever.
Hmm... to be honest I'm a little neutral about it. I was a master of the aerial glaive style in World, could break parts my friends couldn't reach and keep uptime with the monster when they couldn't. Perform tight dodges. It appears to me as if they've returned Insect Glaive back into it's Gen 4 counterpart. The original insect glaive. And then expanded on that with modern movesets. So I don't see it as a bad thing, and a lot what we got is still hype af. It's just a brand new weapon in a sense. The resurgence of classic bugstick instead of the Gen 5 version of the weapon.
@honeychonav4027 I agree that the new moves we've seen are cool, but why did we have to trade out the aerial combat for it? Outside of forcing players into another fighting style, there was no reason to get rid of it. If Capcom replaced it with some kind of equivalent attack, then it'd be different. Instead they just removed the option to extend aerial fighting entirely. For me personally, aerial gameplay was the draw of the insect glaive. I loved doing the triple jumping advancing slash (or kinsect slash) followed up with the diving wyvern. It's been a long time since I played 4U and I mainly used charge blade so I can't confidently speak on the specifics of the old IG moveset. However I can say that I remember the change to World IG feeling like a natural evolution to its predecessor. I felt the same way with Rise/Sunbreak. I personally don't think I'll be able to say that about Wilds IG. Without going into a whole side tangent, I was already feeling sketchy about Wilds. Now that they're going to essentially remove my favorite mechanic from my favorite weapon, I'm not all that hyped. Definitely not going to pre-order at this point. Probably still gonna buy, but I'll wait for the demo to make that decision.
@@LemonGong Yeah that's fair. It's odd to me too but it's also not the only weapon getting this treatment. The more I learn about wilds the more it seems to me like a modernized version of 4th Gen which is pretty cool in it's own right. But it isn't a straight evolution of mechanics from 5th Gen. It feels instead like a fresh ambitious title again where even veterans will need to relearn the game. But I am enjoying what I'm seeing so my hype is still mostly there. I plan on preordering the game myself, and am excited to explore it. It's just like you, I'm perplexed by the change they made to a weapon I loved. Though I wasn't really a fan of Risebreak's combat myself. In the end I'm hoping I'd fall in love with this GU style IG. But who knows maybe I'll end up falling in love with another weapon instead.
@@LemonGong Turns out. Aerial Glaive is still there. In fact the weapon description still points out midair attacks being a core feature. They just swapped the button input for jumping slash and jumping advance slash which activates aerial mode. So us Aerial Glaive enjoyers can rest easy.
The mosquito monster is called Balaqri, it was written when it died Edit : pretty sure the bow armor comes from the small unnamed bird wyvern, the scales kind of look alike
The bow-user armor could also be from Tobi-Kadachi. It looks kinda blueish and Tobi armor always had these scaly features. Would also make sense with the whole thunder theme.
Umm... am I seeing things? Maybe its just a coincidence, but when he said "aptonoth confirmed" it showed said aptonoth wearing what looked like a saddle In the background, and to the right were, swiftly cut off by the increasing zoom, what appeared to be the words "change mount. Optional"... Hmmm... interesting. Probably just a blurred text, though.
@@theveryhungrygamer8790 probably not... I mean, it's only in that opening zoom that it appears to say anything similar to change mount, with a later full screen of the same location reading change weapon, but... y'never know, they did it in stories, so maybe there's a certain area the Seikret can't cross... or maybe there IS mount customizations, like with the Palamutes in rise, and I just got a glimpse of that option... Heck, given the Capcom love of Collaborations with other companies, I would be absolutely SHOCKED if they didn't make a deal with SquareEnix to give us a Chocobo Skin for the Seikret... (which, let's be honest, I would immediately use.) Or a Jurassic Park/World Collab, giving us the Jurassic Park Raptor as a mount... or hell, their own properties, they DO own Dino crisis after all... Oh god, or Nintendo again... Stories 1 on the 3ds had a special Kirin that was Epona, from The Legend of Zelda... if the Successor to the Switch is powerful enough, it might get a version of Wilds... With a Yoshi Skin for the Seikret... and if not, the Modders will DEFINITELY make that reality... oh god, I might have seen the future...
If I had a main wish for what types of monsters I want to see in the game or what I come to expect, I have a very fun, but possibly unlikely thought. My main hope for Wilds is, simply put, each Monster Classification gets a least one new member added to it. We've already gotten a: Amphibian, Fanged Beast, Flying Wyvern, Leviathan and Temnoceran. Which would leave 8 categories left to be filled. If I had to pick my most wanted new monster, I'd go with a new endgame Bird Wyvern as the closest we've gotten to that has been Yian Garuga (I guess) and other, more powerful versions of weaker monsters (Pukei, Malfestio)
With the desert area means the need... for STEVE! Seregios would be a welcome addition in my books! Also, Ukanlos hasn't made a return in a while! Also would love to see Odogaron get a return. Who doesn't love that ravenous hairless squirrel? 😉 As for elder dragon, MHW Iceborne really struck me with the Namielle elder dragon. I really enjoyed its mechanics and would love to see it return.
I believe the switch axe is for the raptor monster at 8:30 The jaw bits on the swaxe look like the jaws of the new raptor. Seems to have a similar color scheme. Hey, I just thought of something neat. Doing an elemental discharge would probably look similar to how the new raptor monster latches on.
It would be cool if like each trailer they revealed the new monster and locale based on the order of the weapon reveals. They did lala barina first because switch axe was the first new design, then hammer and the plague doctor monster, and then the ice bug.
I have no idea why, and I am probably wrong, but the hammer colour scheme reminds me of Baleful Gigginox's belly, with the dark blueish purple and pulsing light blue details. It's also my understanding that Gigginox armour has already had a remodel in the past? Idk but I'd like for Giggnox/Baleful to be in the game regardless.
Another one that is definitely going to make a comeback is Diablos. Like Rathian and Rathalos, it's been in every monster hunter game since the og game, and i doubt its going anywhere either.
with the bleed pods I wonder if perhaps thats a hint towards a new bleed element perhaps? deals small like poison dmaage and makes wounding monsters easier?
Will Monster Hunter be another Monsterverse? 1. You live peacefully. 2. You found a threat. 3. You defeat the threat. 4. Realizing the threat is actually nature white blood cells. 5. Since you supress the white blood cells, now the real threat is showing up. 6. You defeat the bigger threat only to realize if you didn't intervene from the start, nature would've been fine since the circle is already existed millenia before you were there. 7. In conclusion, you are not a hero, but only the part of the circle of life. It's basically: Military vs Godzilla vs King Ghidorah
With them saying the "Apex" of the windward plains it sounds like they might be doing another trio like they just did in sunbreak. So maybe 2 more "Apex" species and a new flagship monster? As for the the switchaxe weapon design, possible scarab design?
I think 4 monsters likely to return are Barroth and Diablos, since it's a desert area. Deviljo, because the pickle is strong but it may arrive or be added later like in Worlds. And Kirin because it's an Elder Dragon and there's lots of lightning. Personally, given the style of Wilds I'd like to see a return of Dah'ren Mohran our giant sand shark elder dragon
La La is without a question my fav monster so far. Rey Dau is pretty cool but I still love some GOOD spider monster. Not that THING from RIse. And Balahara armor is so far my fav. The armor and the lance are just... beautiful
The new talioth raptors have big pincher-like jaws that look like the axe of the mystery switch axe. Same color too. So I believe that set is from the large version of those.
This game needs a big roster, base World was abysmal and all of it was dragons. I'm really hoping for Bazel, i love that he became like this "invader" that would just crash your hunt all the time, more of those aswell
I’m still holding out hope that Nargacuga, Glavenus, Zinogre, Nerscylla, and Malfestio will be in the game cause from an ecological point they all make sense plus it would give some nice diversity. I can just imagine a Nargacuga silently stalking through some like thick underbrush like the Black Panther that its partially inspired by
That brain hammer has me feeling some sort of way cause if you really look at it those purple glowing lines might be veins and i think its connected to the heart so I THINK its still technically alive whatever it is and that makes it so cool and morbid!
Can we also invite Gemma and Alma in a hunt? It would be cool if capcom gave them their own weapons and make them npc hunters too considering how much we often see them exploring with the hunter in developer showcase
Deviljho, why? Because of the wound mechanic, and Doshaguma's rage affect. Imagine fighting a version of Deviljho that you cannot wound because the monster already has their whole body scabbed over from previous fights, only to latter in the fight have their whole body light up as the pickle enrages. ... Actually, the more I think about this, the more it's most likely going to be in the G rank expansion. Also because Yian Kut-Ku is in doll form, unless it's a small monster, I think that's confirmation that it won't be in the game.
Here's a question for ya Josh to possibly help you figure out the identify of the "unknown hammer and armor monster" . What monster has/had purple color, uses poison attacks, has armor that doesn't look hard, yet it's tough, and is an elder dragon named Chameleos?
Am I missing something team, weird amount of dislike towards this but its identical to all the previous monster rounds up going back 5 years now that have always been loved.

But if i gotta choose one it'd be the endemic life pet thing. Gotta catch em all.
You have the net for catching bugs for ammo (which then also is endemic life aswell as non ammo) so I highly assume both are back
If Yian Kutku shows up, then Yian Garuga isn't far behind.
Blue kutku too 🤨
I got really sad as i noticed that many ppl complaining about the change wearing male/female armor in chat of the livestream.
I think this will be really fun.
are there people complaining about that? what a bunch of losers
What wasn’t everyone asking for that? Like thats one of the most asked for QOL changes people wanted there’s literally no downside to having it besides not knowing what to use for fashion hunter
My guess is it's people pulling out the woke card.
I feel strongly that Jhen Mohran and/or Dah'ren Mohran could come back after seeing you being a sand ship in the middle of a huge desert.
o wow, froggy boy actually gets dusty when the sandstorm rages and coers his skin in sand
Hey Rage, the Seikret is not prounounced secret (See-Crit) it's pronounced (Say-Crit). Go watch day 2 of the live stream from the MH team, they say it several time. Keep up the word learning Rage!
I hope so much that great maccao comes back 🙏🙏🙏
Josh: "I'm sorry about mispronouncing the names!"
Also Josh: "Gaijos."

I want a Chocobo Seikret!
Switch axe feels like either a scorpion or a white flower version of the flower spider
All you have to do is change what you say
It’s “dough/doe” shaguma
“Say” kret
And so on
So, Cotton has had his eyes shut and his fingers in his ears for eight months now, I sure hope someone’s been checking in on him
There is also a little lizard like creature that we cant see really well at the beginning of the third trailer
(He is on the top left, on the tree on the foreground and he moves from down to up on the tree).
I love how there seems to be more variety in the monsters already compared to world etc
Probably the first rage gaming video I’ve been so fast it doesn’t have any views.
They said it so many times at the show. Seikret (Say-kret) or (seh-kret) not Seeeeecret XD
When we get the inevitable lava biome, I hope we get dodogama back.
It's a tough choice, cos many people DON'T want to hunt him, cos he's chonky and cute.
So we'll have a creature in the roster, that won't be hunted 😅
@@lordofasshes657 we could always just protect him
I want Agnaktor to return. Lavasioth and Magma Almudron tried to steal his frow but failed. The king needs a comeback.

Has anyone examined the palico equipment for any potential leads on monsters? Also do the palicos get to talk now?
Yes they talk
The gear on the demo matches the ones in the hunter (Hope, Balahara, Doshaguma, etc). They can talk and you can select how (human, felyne).
I will absolutely riot if we don't get Nibblesnarf. These sand dunes are PERFECT FOR MY BOY
i am hoping for some Elder Dragon Reveals soon
Please oh please give us rusted kushala 🙏
Of the plague monster is just a massive f*cking Girros species I’m gonna lose it
I really do hope that the purple armor with skin on it is a brand new serpent. Havent had one in forever, and the shed skin fits it perfectly.
The mosquito monster is called Balaqri, it was written when it died
Edit : pretty sure the bow armor comes from the small unnamed bird wyvern, the scales kind of look alike
Wait a minute...you don't think we'll be able to RIDE an aptonoth!?
As for elder dragon, MHW Iceborne really struck me with the Namielle elder dragon. I really enjoyed its mechanics and would love to see it return.
No, it's still Tigrex, not Taigrex :)
I can't tell what I'm more excited to hunt, lala or railgun.
I believe the switch axe is for the raptor monster at 8:30
The jaw bits on the swaxe look like the jaws of the new raptor. Seems to have a similar color scheme.
Hey, I just thought of something neat. Doing an elemental discharge would probably look similar to how the new raptor monster latches on.
I think the switch axe’s monster is a scorpion given the layout of it in sword mode. It looks like a scorpion.
It would be cool if like each trailer they revealed the new monster and locale based on the order of the weapon reveals. They did lala barina first because switch axe was the first new design, then hammer and the plague doctor monster, and then the ice bug.
2:44 so with the Leviathan model in game doses that main the Goat himself has a high chance of beating here hmm...
Ivory lagi obviously
He was voted the third most popular do to meme power alone so...yeah
I have no idea why, and I am probably wrong, but the hammer colour scheme reminds me of Baleful Gigginox's belly, with the dark blueish purple and pulsing light blue details. It's also my understanding that Gigginox armour has already had a remodel in the past? Idk but I'd like for Giggnox/Baleful to be in the game regardless.
Another one that is definitely going to make a comeback is Diablos. Like Rathian and Rathalos, it's been in every monster hunter game since the og game, and i doubt its going anywhere either.
6:46 brother is literally P. Ludroth written all over the armor
This was my thought as well
Maybe the poison thing might be a vulture type monster because vultures are known to spit acid
with the bleed pods I wonder if perhaps thats a hint towards a new bleed element perhaps? deals small like poison dmaage and makes wounding monsters easier?
A leaked micro transactions sez "Deviljho Won't invade" so this could mean Pickle boy is back
Will Monster Hunter be another Monsterverse?
It's basically:
Military vs Godzilla vs King Ghidorah
So monster hunter world
@@Beastslayer787 Monster MHP3rd, Rise and Sunbreak too.
And Tartaronis, another desert elder dragon who hasn't appeared since MH:Online but has a very cool pirate themed equipment set
I sincerely hope we get kecha wacha this time around. He was so fun to fight
I can just imagine a Nargacuga silently stalking through some like thick underbrush like the Black Panther that its partially inspired by
It probably would've helped if when you talked about other monsters, to show pictures of them, like the congalala and others. I haven't seen one
Hello fellow hunters indeed
Here's a question for ya Josh to possibly help you figure out the identify of the "unknown hammer and armor monster" . What monster has/had purple color, uses poison attacks, has armor that doesn't look hard, yet it's tough, and is an elder dragon named Chameleos?
With the desert feel I would love to see ahtal -ka show up the mech would look so good in wilds
If theres fulgerbugs there should be everyones favorite puppy
Kongalala coming back is something me and my friend have been asking for a while 🙏🏼 he is the first monster to give me a challenge I hope he’s back
the hammer set looks like it could be inspired off of Chameleos, i might be wrong but thats what came to my mind.
you are now a great sword main, this is a threat
