2 ദിവസം മുൻപ്. രാത്രി 7:30 ഏകദേശം ആയപ്പോ ഒരു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ തിരക്ക് പിടിച്ചു എങ്ങോടോ പോവുകയാണ്. തിരക്ക് ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഒരു 40-45 സ്പീഡിലാണ്. സ്കൂട്ടർ ആണ് വണ്ടി. Suzuki swish 125. നർരൗ റോഡ് ആണ് റോട്ടിൽ വണ്ടി ഒന്നും ഇല്ല പെട്ടെന്ന് ഒരു കാർ. Kia seltos. നേരെ വരുന്നു. അവർ ലൈറ്റ് dim ആക്കുന്നില്ല റോഡിന് വീതിയില്ല മഴ പെയ്ത കിടക്കാണ്. ആ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ വണ്ടി ബ്രേക്ക് പിടിച്ചു സ്പീഡ് കുറച്ചു പതിസ് സൈഡ് എടുത്ത് പോവുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ റോഡ് ആണല്ലോ. റോട്ടിലെ കുളവും കുഴിയും സ്വഭാവികമാണല്ലോ. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു സ്വഭാവിക കുഴിയിൽ വീഴുന്നു. കാറിൽ വന്ന 2 ചെറുപ്പക്കാർ ഞാനൊന്നും അറിഞ്ഞില്ലേ രാമനാരായണ എന്നുപറഞ് ഓടി വരുന്നു. വീണിട്ട് കയ്യിലെയും കാലിലെയും തൊലി നല്ല രീതിയിൽ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഹെൽമെറ്റ് ആവറേജ് ആയത് കൊണ്ട് തലക്ക് ഒന്നും പറ്റിയില്ല അല്ലെങ്കി ഒരു 30-50k ക്ക് ഒള്ള വകുപ്പ് ഉണ്ടായേനെ. പിന്നെ ഒരു ജാക്കറ്റ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് കയ്യിലെ മുട്ടിനെ സാരമായ പരുക്കിൽ നിന്ന് ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ പറ്റി. കാൽ മുട്ടിന് പറ്റി. പാന്റ് ഒക്കെ കീറി നാശമായി. ഒരുവിധം ചെറിയ കീറൽ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ scratch ട്രന്റ് ആണെന്ന് എങ്കിലും പറയാമായിരുന്നു. വീണ സമയത് വണ്ടി പോയ സ്പീഡ് 20-25 ആണ്. കേരളത്തിൽ ആയത് കൊണ്ടും രക്ഷധികാരികൾക് നമ്മുടെ സുരക്ഷ ഓർത്തു വളരെ അധികം വേവലാതി ഒള്ളത് കൊണ്ടും ഇത്രേ ഒക്കെ പറ്റി. മഴക്കാലത്തു എന്നല്ല കേരളത്തിൽ വണ്ടി ഓടിക്കുന്നാ എല്ലാവർക്കും സ്വന്തം ജീവനും കുടുംബക്കാരുടെ സുരക്ഷക്കും വേണ്ടി സൂക്ഷിച്ചാൽ ദുഖിക്കണ്ടാ. എന്ന് വണ്ടിയിൽ നിന്ന് വീണ് വീട്ടിലിരിക്കുന്ന ആ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ 😒
Apart from straight up banning non ISI helmets ,Govt should recognize superior testing bodies (DOT ECE SNELL FIM etc) and their certifications too and there by promote a safe biking culture.
Very true But govt wont do that because that'll make the Indian ISI look like shit and other cheap helmet manufacturers may (not will) suffer. Govt doesn't care about the people... Govt only care if they get money via taxes/licencing costs thats all🙂 sad reality..
Then they can't tax imports. When middle class consumption for something increases tax it. For getting ISI mark on helmets, the companies will have to pay a lot, they will transfer it to us.

2 ദിവസം മുൻപ്. രാത്രി 7:30 ഏകദേശം ആയപ്പോ ഒരു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ തിരക്ക് പിടിച്ചു എങ്ങോടോ പോവുകയാണ്. തിരക്ക് ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഒരു 40-45 സ്പീഡിലാണ്. സ്കൂട്ടർ ആണ് വണ്ടി. Suzuki swish 125. നർരൗ റോഡ് ആണ് റോട്ടിൽ വണ്ടി ഒന്നും ഇല്ല പെട്ടെന്ന് ഒരു കാർ. Kia seltos. നേരെ വരുന്നു. അവർ ലൈറ്റ് dim ആക്കുന്നില്ല റോഡിന് വീതിയില്ല മഴ പെയ്ത കിടക്കാണ്. ആ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ വണ്ടി ബ്രേക്ക് പിടിച്ചു സ്പീഡ് കുറച്ചു പതിസ് സൈഡ് എടുത്ത് പോവുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ റോഡ് ആണല്ലോ. റോട്ടിലെ കുളവും കുഴിയും സ്വഭാവികമാണല്ലോ. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു സ്വഭാവിക കുഴിയിൽ വീഴുന്നു. കാറിൽ വന്ന 2 ചെറുപ്പക്കാർ ഞാനൊന്നും അറിഞ്ഞില്ലേ രാമനാരായണ എന്നുപറഞ് ഓടി വരുന്നു. വീണിട്ട് കയ്യിലെയും കാലിലെയും തൊലി നല്ല രീതിയിൽ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഹെൽമെറ്റ് ആവറേജ് ആയത് കൊണ്ട് തലക്ക് ഒന്നും പറ്റിയില്ല അല്ലെങ്കി ഒരു 30-50k ക്ക് ഒള്ള വകുപ്പ് ഉണ്ടായേനെ. പിന്നെ ഒരു ജാക്കറ്റ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് കയ്യിലെ മുട്ടിനെ സാരമായ പരുക്കിൽ നിന്ന് ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ പറ്റി. കാൽ മുട്ടിന് പറ്റി. പാന്റ് ഒക്കെ കീറി നാശമായി. ഒരുവിധം ചെറിയ കീറൽ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ scratch ട്രന്റ് ആണെന്ന് എങ്കിലും പറയാമായിരുന്നു. വീണ സമയത് വണ്ടി പോയ സ്പീഡ് 20-25 ആണ്. കേരളത്തിൽ ആയത് കൊണ്ടും രക്ഷധികാരികൾക് നമ്മുടെ സുരക്ഷ ഓർത്തു വളരെ അധികം വേവലാതി ഒള്ളത് കൊണ്ടും ഇത്രേ ഒക്കെ പറ്റി. മഴക്കാലത്തു എന്നല്ല കേരളത്തിൽ വണ്ടി ഓടിക്കുന്നാ എല്ലാവർക്കും സ്വന്തം ജീവനും കുടുംബക്കാരുടെ സുരക്ഷക്കും വേണ്ടി സൂക്ഷിച്ചാൽ ദുഖിക്കണ്ടാ.
എന്ന് വണ്ടിയിൽ നിന്ന് വീണ് വീട്ടിലിരിക്കുന്ന ആ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ 😒

Apart from straight up banning non ISI helmets ,Govt should recognize superior testing bodies (DOT ECE SNELL FIM etc) and their certifications too and there by promote a safe biking culture.
