The Brangus breed is an American beef breed developed with commercial producers in mind. Researchers began experimenting with crosses of Angus and Brahman as early as 1912 at the Jeannerette, La., USDA experiment station. Their goal was to develop a hearty type of animal with adaptability and carcass quality that would thrive in heat and environmentally challenging ranch country.

empieza con vacas brahman americano, de ahi le metes la raza que quieras con tu semental. Angus, charolais, beefmaster, braunvieh, pero siempre debes de tener como base la raza brahman.Si tienes vacas criollas, empieza con un semental brahman americano para limpiar la raza y de ahi le metes el semental que gustes. Yo tengo 170 vientres de brahman y lo estoy metiendo 4 sementales suizo europeo y me estan dando muy buenos resultados.

So, Brangus hold up well in tropical conditions? I'm trying to choose a herd for my property in northern Peru. The climate is similar to Florida, but maybe with a little more rainfall.
