Hey man wanted to comment and say I’ve only been watching a few months but you’ve been a huge inspiration in my journey as an owner op. Just bought my first truck an 06 classic XL with c15 and 13 speed. And just hauled my first 3 loads between 1/2 and 1/3. 28 years old giving me hope that I can have a successful life as an owner. Originally found your channel because I wanted a cabover and was trying to find videos of people truly still working them. The freightliner was a steal so it worked out, but next will definitely be a cabover. Keep on trucking bro love the videos.

Oh geez, this video brought back HORRIBLE memories of my long-haul days. That pass through west Eisenhower-Johnson tunnel and Donner pass are my worst enemies on the west side of the 48. I applaud you for going over at night. There is no load that important, that can't wait till daylight when I can see the road a lot better. I once had to spend my 34 reset in that pull off area just outside that tunnel. Reports told me the pass was clear, but they were expecting a snowstorm to come in. Thus, I burned rubber out of Denver in hopes of getting over the pass and run out of hours on the other side. Sadly, the chain law went up, and I ran out of hours at the tunnel.
I'm a Colorado native. I grew up in Rifle CO and after high school I worked for a Jeep dealership in Glenwood Springs. They had an office at the Aspen Airport Business Center across from the airport on highway 82. Snow and ice coming to Virginia Sunday night through Monday night, but so far no "bomb cyclones"! Stay safe out there, a lot of people cannot drive well in perfect weather conditions, much less snow and icy conditions.

I remember I was going thru that pass late March about 20 years ago in a 1998 2wd Ford Explorer. I went to get off at the exit that has the old bar, and when I got to the bottom of the exit at the stop sign I had no freaking brakes! Scared the crap out of me! Thank God the Lord was riding with me that night!
I loved driving at night while team driving back in the day. I thought my OTR days were behind me but watching this channel makes me miss the experience. After I retire soon I just may find my way back
Hey Steve, been up Vail pass quite a few times myself. Can be challenging depending on the weather situation. Diesels have a hardtime with elevation and thin air. Thanks for sharing the video. I'm happy to see Orwell Getting-R-Done! Be safe in your travels, brother! 🇺🇸
I’m out to eat right now, and I’ve been playing on my new to me play station 5, grand theft auto 5. And thats what I was planning on playing when i get home but until I got this notification I think I’ll be watching Orwell head to aspen!!!
12:53 if you get off on the Morrison exit, there’s a bunch of park-and-ride’s there. I bought a dirt bike there in 2016. And you can also take a hike way up on top of the hill and watch the semi’s haul out of the quarry they come down that big hill with their jake brakes on. It’s pretty awesome to see.
My wife and son and I spent several days in Denver years ago. We went up in the mountains and rode the Georgetown loop and also the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden. The Forney Museum was also very interesting.
Just want to say I seen Orwells twin out here in Hanford California running the same type trailer moving farm equipment. I was blown away that Orwell was in California but the next time I ran across the truck I realize that it wasn't Orwell but it is a close twin. Stay safe and really enjoy the channel.
There’s some very cool stories on the tunnels on 70! The evacuation systems, air handlers, and the operations centers they have underground in tho tunnels. Something cool to watch before or after going through! Beautiful area of the country for sure
A lot of people get surprised coming out of the tunnel WB. Storms pile up on the west side and dump the precip. Dry on the east side, then they run through the tunnel dry and don't realize what's coming and how that downgrade to Dillon doesn't relent. I was listening to you up shift in the tunnel and hoping you wouldn't get surprised, especially at night. Nice job!

what trips up a lot of guys going west is that the transition from climbing to going down is inside of Eisenhower Tunnel. when you exit the west side of the tunnel you are already on the down grade headed down the mountain.

Steve you need to change your headlight bulbs to LED. Your night drive video in Colorado showed that . Great videos each and every trip, thanks 👍
That's how the camera sees it. Steve's view is far better. He's not an idiot. If he needed to brighten up he would.
Not gonna lie to you Qball, love the straight driving videos! Great to put me to sleep for some reason over the years. Then the next day I get to watch them over again!
Keep on keepin on 🫡
I agree, so relaxing.
Beautiful views. Thanks
You should upgrade the headlights to the new led ones everyone is using on trucks nowadays. Will help you be able to see a lot better at night and be able to judge grades easier.
Did Steve say his lights are bad? I missed that bit.
@@AnyoneSeenMikeHuntno several think they are because of the camera

@@coryhoover01 Sad how people cannot differentiate between what's on camera and real life. I guess that's how Hollywood survives and Mythbusters can expose curving bullet mysteries. 🙄

Hi from punta arenas chile 😁😁
The end of the world 🚛💨💨
the sound your turbo is making is cavitation in turbos impeller caused by the air being so thin.
Good cold morning brother think ol man winters set in
I think those ol turbo's like cold air Be Safe and have a great 2025
Yeah winter time is turbo weather. Sadly the altitude probably negates some of that 😂
I was just looking at the previously uploaded videos and damn you have been getting a lot of views! Love to see it!!
