Am I a bad person for liking the cobra tank fights? EXCEPT for deathstroke fight (that does not fit the character in the slightest and was a rehash of the arkham knight fight)
Knight had some awful ones. They were mostly Good in Asylum and City and when they weren't they at least were passable. There's no forgiveness for uncontainable.
Knight doesn't require 3 stars on every map to full achievment completion, like previous games (thank god). So I didn't even bothered. I think I did one tank battle just for the sake of it (2 stars I think, didn't tried again after that). Those maps with races and battles at the same time? Don't think I opened a single one lol Combat maps are always fun tho. Did all of them.
That's one of my favorites. It's a very unique layout that works well for Nightwing since it doesn't require much gliding, better than "Box with gargoyles #862"
It's the scrambler that does it for me, you start outside the building with no clear way on how to get in without being spotted immediately because you can't see
The worst thing about some of the maps in Knight was that there was often one difficult/annoying star that was shared across all the characters, making some maps a pain in the ass no matter who you played as
Ur videos got recommended to me a little while ago and I really enjoy ur top 5s. I speedrun all of these games so I have a bit of a different perspective from the average person but I feel like when u talk about these games u really do them justice. Keep up the great work man.
I like uncontainable, but I feel like it would done better as a special kind of map that had a huge amount of enemies and like 6 plus challenges to do throughout the whole map, so that the key features of the map can really be brought out. With saying that though, I still feel like it was one of the worst in AK because of how underutilized it was. Side note, what’s up with Jay saying the challenge to take out an equal amount is bad? That’s like the definitive competition they do to see who defeats more goons, and the medal itself was incredibly original
Imagine if they made an Arkham game with every playable character from each arkham game. Including Joker, Harley Quinn, Deathstroke, Azrael, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Vigilante Bruce Wayne.
That would be dope. I wonder if they could've made Deathstroke playable in Knight considering they updated his model for it. The returning characters from City all have basically the same moveset and animations, so I would've been fine with Deathstroke playing the exact same from Origins.
Any outdoor predator encounter kinda sucked imo, in origins half of the dark Knight challenges wouldn't count on those environments. Most of the time it's only grates and gargoyles-- of which are too far from the action to be anything more than running away when thugs swarm your ass because the one unique takedown option is either risky to approach to or will usually alert too many guards trying to get someone to come over.
I hated this one in Arkham origins that made you complete 10 of the campaign challenges to get a shock batterang I gave up on it bc I did the challenges after story mode and I wasn’t gonna play new game plus for 3 more hours just to get to the one map that you needed to take out 4 enemies with four types of takedowns
Watching this I thought: I’d love to see an attack where you swing from one place to another and during the swing you take someone out either hitting or bringing them with you to, for example, a vantage point or ledge etc
On the harley map you can just drop down near the guy looking at the city and ledge take down him, make some noise on purpose and repeat. Her ledge takeodwn IS silent (its just catwomans 1 to 1), it sucks enemies from multiple feet away and it pretty much breaks AI to the point they'll look at you doing it and often ignore it entirely
With Revive and Shine, I used to have trouble with it and while I do agree that the design of the map isn’t all that great, I did find a way on how to beat it, and get three stars so what I do is this: Perform a silent takedown on the person that’s going to walk on the stairs to the left. Then, use the voice synthesizer to call an enemy from the right side and direct him to another one that’s stationed in the middle and have him stand next to him. Once he’s there, glide over there and then boom! Multi-Fear Takedown. The next thing I do is to do a corner silent takedown from the person who was stationed in the train cart and your fear takedowns gets refilled. Then, the medic is going to go and try and revive the people in the middle. Go to the left side and hang from the railing or if he comes from the right side, go on top and hang from the ledge. As soon as he gets ready to revive someone, use the freeze grenade on him and the next person will show up to cover him. When you are near him, perform another multi-fear takedown and finish it off with the medic. You get your three stars; one for performing two separate multi-fear takedowns, one for not getting damage (shot at), and one for finishing it last with the medic. That’s the way how I do it and it’s pretty easy once you do it over and over. My best score is 1:11:99.
The worst and most annoying one was the cat women one with riddler . And I absolutely hated the predator map with the Arkham Knight. Mainly because that shouldn’t of even been a predator map in the first place but an actual boss fight.
That Combat section with Catwoman vs the Riddler Robots on the electrified floor is easily one of the hardest sections in the entire series JESUS they spiked the difficulty way to damn much with that.
The last one is not bad or good it's ok because there are different layer's to the map so that the goons can spread out and there is time to get away from enemy's coming to you and you can also do different takedowns on it but all that you said was true but it's ok to me. But the challenges are pretty silly
If we're talking worst maps medals wise Lost city (extreme), Natural Selection (extreme), Wayne Manor Main Hall, Top of The World (extreme) are all definetly up there. They're not ridiculously hard but just luck based and tedious. They're good maps casually but if you're going for the medals they are a chore.
The rooftop one meant for Harley didn't offend me too much. Save for two problems that if you ignore, I think makes it an ok murder field of a map. Harley Quinn is absolutely piss on it. And every other character has a time limit for a challenge, meaning youre not incentivized to take your time. If you can ignore the time, as every other character it's kinda fun to have a donut of enemies to off one by one. Even as Red Hood, it's kinda like a mini shooting range.
I had zero idea that AO challenge maps recieved criticism, especially as I generally enjoyed them more than AC ones, both combat and predator. What I prefer in AO predator maps compared to AC is that there are a bit more enemies present and I generally had easier time completing them... in AC, there was usually at least one challenge that I had to restart map all over again if I missed the timing. Possibly what bothers me the most is that there are only 5 enemies and the challenge medal I had the most issues with was the vent takedown because I always did explosive wall takedown first. But inverted takedown? It's easily achievable by upgrading the Disruptor to shut down speakers. Both speakers are located directly under two vantage points so it's a guarantee you can use this combo to perform an inverted takedown. Wrecking Crew... it's been a while since I played it but I don't remember any issues from it. And its design reminds me of oldschool AA maps... dark, gloomy, metal walkways and such. My least favorite predator map (not counting AK which I haven't played yet) is certainly Top of the World in AC (which is ironically on your top 5 predator maps), especially extreme version. Because of the enclosed design, I can't see sh*t there and it's even worse when playing as Catwoman. It takes me 15 minutes or so to complete Top of the World extreme with Catwoman and I very rarely need more than 3-4 minutes for challenge maps

Revive and shine isn’t that bad, I got all 3 stars in 57 seconds
Are some of these maps dlc ones because I've never heard of some of them😁
Yes my dude. A lot of the stuff was added in to Knight especially post-launch. Some is worth playing, others are not.
One nice thing is the Arkham Knight season pass is almost always on sale for super cheap, wouldn't pay the original 40 $ though
