    Hi guys :)
Just dropping in to say a big thank you! Especially to Katie who has become a huge role model to me over the past few months. I was baptized September 2022 and have never looked back. As a new Christian I’m re-learning all my ways and including how to be a wife and mother. It has been so amazing to have this podcast to turn to for biblical advice on marriage and family. Thank you again for doing this. Your efforts don’t go to waste!

Thank you for such a timely episode! I needed it. I am a mom with 4 children 6-1yrs and a 5th due in June. My husband and I both have lost jobs that we needed to maintain a liveable wage as he is in ministry. We had a rat infestation in the parsonage over the last week. And have had to stay in an airbnb. We have been dreaming about my husband going to seminary to obtain a degree in counseling so that he can walk along other side others. I have for the last 3 days felt that going to seminary would fix my problems. Then realized how can we afford rent or buying a house on little income. So helpful and insightful! Your episode help me not feel a alone and also encouraged as there are other families out there who are living their dream home even when home is not what they had hoped for. Listened to it while I was scrubbing pots in my kitchen after the rats! Yuk! Your content enthralled me while I was scrubbing. Great redemption of time! Thank you from the Old Family in Vermont!

Wow this episode has been such a good one. Thank you so much. So filled with love, peace and rest. Learning to build what we want right here, right now instead of being dissatisfied with our circumstances

I needed this so much right now! I’m a single mama who spent almost 6 years in my parents’ house after a horrible divorce, and just recently was finally able to purchase a home for my boys and I! It’s half the size of my previous home ( and a quarter of the size of my parents’ house, where we spent the last almost 6 years!), and it’s over 60 years old. There has been a ton of fixing up and remodeling, and things breaking…and I have been saying over and over that things will get better once we get through the construction, or once things are organized, etc. And the reality is that things can change NOW, and I am the one who can make things change. Thank you for the profound yet simple truth bomb! 💙

Hi! Ive loved watching Katie’s channel for a couple years now and recently discovered your podcasts! You guys inspire me so much to be a better wife and mother, thank you for all the content you put out especially since it is from a faith-filled perspective! Just dropping in here to let you know (if you don’t already:) that your old podcasts that you mentioned got lost, are actually still on Spotify! I just played one the other night! So I hope that helps! God bless you!

I’m glad you mentioned the importance of neighbor ministry. We just moved to acres of land and although we are happy with the new home, we truly miss the convenience of ministry to our neighborhood.

This reminded me of RootsandRefuge on RUclips when she says “turn your waiting room into a classroom”. 🌱

A phrase we say quiet regularly in our home is "turn your waiting room into your classroom". Another RUclips says that, roots and refuge- i think you'd love her content.
The Lord has so put it on our hearts to own property, and we are in a period of waiting for that to be possible! But in the meantime, while we are in this waiting room and living in town, im doing a ton of gardening, preserving, and research, so I have the skills I'll need for having a homestead, whenever the Lord fulfills that dream!

@@NowThatWereAFamilyPodcast I love how you're implementing this even into your family culture. I've listened to all your podcasts throughout the years, I clouding the O.G of this topic, but this topic hits differently now that my kids are getting older and family culture is really something I want to be super intentional about.

    Such an inspiring conversation!
We live in a town in England and our 17yo uses his slingshot in a local abandoned mill and shoots pigeons for his ferrets! It’s surprising what country pursuits you can do in a town. He also fishes, goes shooting in fields on the outskirts of town and catches rabbits with his ferrets!
