It’s probably been 35 years since I first heard Acapella & the AVB. I went to multiple concerts of theirs & people in our church hosted them in their homes. My parents even went to their singing school a couple of summers & my mom is in the background on one of the albums, though I forget which. When I read Eph. 3:20-21 this morning it reminded me of this song & I had to hear it again. What a beautiful way to help us remember scripture.
I remember also listening to this music close to 20 years ago while I was still a teenager, and it made an impact in my life. I am also inspired by how they've continued in this ministry over the years. God bless them and help us all to continue to grow in Him
I remember my Dad being all surprised and impressed by some acapella singers a few years back. He had never heard of this kind of music. I told him it sounded ok but didn't hold a candle to these guys. And these guys were singing acapella songs many years before.

I find myself enjoying singing so much better with only the humans voice as their instruments! When the voices are pure and they blend together like satin with velvet, there is nothing to match it!! This Acappella lineup and the one shortly after were a big influence on my highschool quartet. Back in 1988-1989, we'd be singing a good chunk of songs from Sweet Fellowship. This song later became one of the regulars in our repertoire down the road. Like the Nylons of the 80s, there was just something magical about the 80s-early 90s lineup that wasn't there anymore with all the member changes.
