Sweet little bike Ken ! my first real dirtbike💥after owning minibikes ,was a 1975tm125, the coolest sound and smell of any bike ive owned, that pipe underneath was rad, and it reved so high, so fun, i think i was 13 years old, i used to clean and lube it religiously and baby it , other than the fist day i had it , i went hillclimbing and put a dent with my knee in that beautiful little tank, lol, other than that ,she was mint! Still wish i had it ! Keep the cool bikes coming guys, love your website! Mike Johnson from Minnesota.👍
In 1974 if you did not have one of these to race the 100cc class you were not going to win. As soon as these came out, the entire starting line was filled with them. For about 700 dollars out the door, a kid could afford one by delivering enough papers or mowing lawns. What a great little machine.
Tom you are absolutely right! But as far as a kid being able to do that now, we have to forget it. Modern bikes are proportionally more expensive, and kids don't go out and mow lawns now, they might exert themselves, even sweat. Lord forbid. The only thing they exercise is their thumbs on their phone and their mouths whining, begging, or demanding.
I had a bike like that in the early 90's (1980 ds100 custom everything big expansion chamber, long travel suspension ect). Tried to hang with the 80's 125cc's. Brings back memories of bringing a knife to a gun fight.
I wonder if he replaced the spacers back in a rear sprocket. The spacers tend to wear out and gave a lot of slack issues for that big 52 tooth sprocket. Did you went to a solid mountain?

Never saw the bike but he said that he was pushing 30HP after someone named Rick Gagnon out of the Midwest built the engine. Rick has a website but I forget what it’s called. He can make engines incredibly fast

He may own that property, and he is max aware of every little dip and bump on it, I'm sure. So hitting the bright yellow fire hydrant or the picnic table is kinda out of the question.
@@orange70383 that's a good theory, but if you think about it, and I have found out in reality, with my 71 Bultaco Pursang 350, the second plug, that is not hooked up is getting as black and carboned up as can be, so it's kinda useless as a quick, plug it in spare. It is useful if a different heat range, but will at least need some sand paper taken to the electrodes before use.
Ken, you and Kenny are too heavy for a 100 and you know that. You probably weighed 100-125lbs when you raced yours. They sure were fun when we were that light and a lot younger.
My first bike that I started racing on was a 74 TM 125. It was a great bike. That TM 100 is absolutely beautiful. Great bike and restoration.

In case one goes you just switch over, 2-strokes can be pretty hard on plugs.
I also heard for different heat range of spark plug but idk
