That Evaporust works great and is non toxic. Great you got them back in service!

Thanks, John! Yeah, I'll definitely use it again. Unfortunately, a lot of my tools got rusted.

I found some frozen Bluepoints that I've had since I was a teenager. Broke my heart. But the rust only seems to be focused where the ratcheting part is. Got a couple working just by turning them with pliers. But now I know what to do with the rest! Thanks!

Man it'll break your heart to find all those ratcheting wrenches (which are NOT cheap) all wet and rusted like that. Can't wait to see how it goes for you. I have found what seems to be the Gearwrench and Williams ratcheting wrenches seem to be make by the same people.. not sure, but they're both very high quality.

Oh no! Always hate it when I find stuff that wasn't safely stored and got all corroded.
Those black-oxide finishes sure don't protect for long. Evaporust is costly, but awesome!
Wish I could afford enough of it to immerse my entire Beetle in it!
One thing to watch with Evaporust, it will pull carbon out of tool-steel/spring-steel/cast-iron, softening them.

Strain the solution & reuse it. It will work for several projects.

It sounds weird but if you beat the ratcheting end with a hammer and put wd40 in it, it will usually fix it (doesn’t work on reversible ratcheting ones though).
