- We eloped in New York! Here is the vlog from the day before, wedding day + day after :) We had the most perfect wedding day.
The day before we visit the Friends apartment block and Carrie Bradshaw's apartment. Explored Soho and ate at Bubbys! We also got our marriage license from the City Clerk + the wedding was on! We saw Lea Michele in Funny Girl the night before which was perfection. The next day we got ready together in our hotel and got married at Gapstow Bridge in Central Park. We then saw the Knicks at MSG. The day after we did some running around so that our marriage was legal in the UK, and then went to the cinema to hide from the rain :)

What documents did you need for the elopement? I’m from the UK and looking at eloping in NY, do you need birth certificates too or just passports? Any advice would be so helpful, thank you ☺️ x
congrats!! ☺️✨ we just needed passports! best advice would be to keep a morning free after the wedding day to go and get the extended certificate to make the marriage legal in the UK! you have to go to three separate places and it’s a little faffy, we planned a morning to get it all done and that was enough! also… have the best time and soak it all in! ✨ xx
@@georgianic thank you so much for replying, I appreciate it so much ☺️. When arranging a photographer, did you just let them know the day you planned to have the ceremony? As I know you can only book 3 weeks in advance at the City Hall. But I guess you can pretty much work out the date when it will be (e.g. choose a day to get the marriage license, wait 24 hours then choose a day).

@@sophiecane3710 no worries! we actually flew a photographer from the UK out to meet us! we knew what day we wanted to get married (we went the week of martin luther king jr day, so the monday was public hol, tuesday we got the license and wednesday we had the ceremony) - so we just planned everything around that. it was super easy to get the appointment, we just went on the website 3 weeks in advance and chose the time that was 24 hours before we wanted to get married ☺️ if you wanna get married at 11am say, choose an early time for the city hall. if you get married at city hall you can book the appointment after you have your license whilst you’re out there. we hired an officiant and got married in central park ☺️

Did you book your license and ceremony appointments at the same time, before flying out to New York?
we booked our license appointment a few weeks before flying out and they ask you at your license appointment if you need to book a ceremony! we didn’t have the ceremony at city hall though - we ended up getting an officiant (honeybreak officiants) who we arranged a time/place with before flying out and they married us the day after getting our license!

I forgot to say that whenever I think of my fave Friends episodes it has to be clips with Ross too. The leather pants and ‘My Sandwich’ has to be the funniest for me but I also like the white teeth one and the spray tan one…And there so many lines I quote from Friends too. Oh I remembered one of my faves is with Gladys and Glydith…is that what she was called but those scary paintings that Phoebe had and Rachel and Monica was scaring each other with them and then Rachel scares Joey 😂 I’m not sure which character I am most like though 🙈 I could talk about Friends for way too long 😝 xx
