The Heckscher playground has water! Be sure to bring extra clothes or water shoes! I had no idea how many NYC playgrounds there were and almost all of them have water! We went during the summer so the kids loved this. Penn station has a donut place! My son loved it when we went and we could catch our train after. We would go walk to grocery shops and no matter where we were there was always a park nearby. It was so nice honestly because we could walk and just stop and play then carry on.

Thank you for this video! Having been to New York City a few times as an adult I’m family with it but now considering a visit as a father with young kids and wasn’t quite sure what spots would be best as quiet art museums and theatre performances probably won’t work out for us. 😂

How do you recommend getting around with a two toddlers and a stroller? What type of transportation is best? Taxi? Subway?

Two toddlers and a stroller? Taxi or uber. Subway would be too stressful and not all have elevators (ones that do are not always clean). No taxi or uber driver is going to care if you don’t have car seats, but you have to be comfortable with that risk. We’ve never had an issue and while it’s more expensive, it’s by far the most efficient and stress free way to navigate the city with kids.

Yes, you should be fine with a good coat - enjoy! One of my favorite times in the city as we prepare for all the holidays.
