@xjimmyrocketx 💯 but maybe we need to rename the award creator Ethan was most wrong about. I don't really view Jeff and Tana as needing to be redeemed. They are people who made mistakes, sure, but they don't seem to have been malicious in their actions.
Tana as a fellow CPTSD survivor, makes so much sense for me. Love that she chose to take the risk to talk about her childhood. She’s done a lot of work and healing, it’s so obvious.
This was Tanas best and most real interview of all time. I can tell just by the way Hila gets so excited talking to her in every conversation they have.
Tana feelings scared to just share stories about her childhood is so sad. I couldn't imagine. You're so strong and just gained an entire new level of love for her! Also I didn't realize she's only 24?????!!!!!! Girls killing it. The strength 💪
@@Lina-et4vz exactly I was thinking this when she was talking about them. I remember her mom always trying to get into her videos and her dads vibe was always off and she always just tried so much to include them and they didn’t treat her right.
What I am concerned about right now is, Tana is known for telling her side of ANY story and making another person look awful. She did it with her ex assistant, her current best friend Brooke, and that girl from Coachella and tons of other companies that she admits openly have sued her. We do not hear from her parents, we never see her parents. There are MULTIPLE podcasts where Tana completely contradicts herself about her relationship with her parents, or just straight up lies. Her parent sued her and won. We don’t know their side, but from Tanas track record, it’s probably important to hear. I appreciate Tana sharing her trauma, but it’s so incredibly hard to trust someone who has sold their trauma for views since she was 15. Let’s just be nuanced here.
@@AdviceFromAHipoCrite yaaaa.... no. There's no way someone can make up those stories on the spot w such detail and fear to speak of them. Nor would anyone hope for this type of relationship with their own parents. She is the ONLY one that's has everything to lose. Her parents have nothing to lose. As they seem to be low life losers. Even if half of the stories are true her parents are not parents and don't deserve to be. Also, the contradictions stem from fear. I agree there are 2 sides to every story. Although, no matter what we'd hear from her parents whoever SUES their own kid for hundreds of thousands of dollars... they really are the diarrhea of the earth.
Same here. If I had just seen some of her instagram photos I would have just judged a book by its cover and I totally would’ve missed all the depth to her. This pod is a good reminder not to do that.

It’s so comforting to hear Tana speak about her upbringing. It felt like watching someone tell my story. Having narcissistic parents is such a painful thing that takes so much work to heal. It’s so rare to encounter someone that you can relate to with this type of abuse. Thank you so much.

her sharing her story was so reaffirming because I struggle to empathize with my abusive family more than I empathize with myself. wishing her nothing but love and support and comfort.
This episode made me fall in love with Tana all over again. I’ve always thought she had a beautiful heart and just needed to find her way and be surrounded by good souls that gave her unconditional love. Finding your tribe makes all the difference in the world.
Tana is such a fucking icon. her life story is insane and she should be so beyond proud of herself for how far she’s come and what she’s accomplished. sincerely an inspiring queen
My favorite episode, hands down. I’ve watched Tana for the last 8 years. I’m 24. This is the first time I’ve heard her story in this much detail. I knew I related to her the entire time I watched her but this episode really opened my eyes as to why. I’m really glad she’s gotten the opportunity to show people who she is a bit more because I feel like it’s been so long since her storytime days and a lot of people don’t know this side of her. It’s super inspiring to see someone experience similar traumas at a similar age who has been able to be successful financially and emotionally. And willing to work through processing her trauma and striving for growth. She’s not perfect but none of us are. Experiencing that much pain and still being such a loving person who I think has an overall net positive is actually super inspiring.
@@kevjtnbtmglr I like her persistence and willingness to grow regardless of the insane roadblocks that have been thrown her way. She’s 24. I was so invested in this interview that I didn't want it to end. Imo this is the best H3 interview I've listened to. Tana, thank you for sharing what you could about your traumatic childhood. I cannot wait till you are able to write that book & speak ALL of your truth freely!
Rewatching this and wow. I have to say - Tana’s ability to redirect the end of those heavy conversations, (which she effortlessly did many times), and steer it to end on a positive sentiment & acknowledgment of someone who’s been a very important emotional anchor for her? That is undeniably a very emotionally intelligent processing cycle. Which is something that takes a LOT of work.
Tana made me feel validated from not wanting to keep communication with parents who were abusive, neglectful and let abuse happen to me and some how made it like it was my fault as a little child. How many times have I heard, “ it’s your mom though, it’s your dad though”. Why should I have to be doing all the emotional labor and the trying? I have been doing it for so long. They fact that they didn’t get their shit together, genuinely apologize and actually get the help so that we could meet half ways says a lot about them. Because if it were me, and I was not the best mother, I can admit my faults and I would yearn to be in my grandchildren lives. I would be the bigger person and show how I want to do better and work to earn my kids trust so that they permit me to be in my grandkids life’s. I learned that it is what it is. I feel for my kids though.
Hearing her and reading your experience is why representation matters. I’m sure you feel the same but I finally feel seen. Like someone finally understands why I don’t want to spend another prized energy of mine on these so-called family members.
The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. Most people only bond with family alot because of their proximity to them. Your family comes over to visit, theyre at family events, you see them alot. However family bonds are not inherently better than any other.

No seriously, I’ve never seen hila so opened and comfortable! this was the best!
Tana feelings scared to just share stories about her childhood is so sad. I couldn't imagine. You're so strong and just gained an entire new level of love for her!
Also I didn't realize she's only 24?????!!!!!! Girls killing it. The strength 💪
@@Lina-et4vz thankfully she has a great bestfriend who treats her like their own
@@Lina-et4vz exactly I was thinking this when she was talking about them.
This is Tana at her realest and deepest level and I’m here for it. This got so personal and it made me feel better about my own traumas.
I honestly did not expect to like Tana as much as I do, this whole podcast was so interesting and entertaining, it did fly by.
