People often look at the shredders as the chosen ones, but I challenge anyone to even try and play bend/stop style as smooth and clean as Johnny. This man is an absolute legend on 6 strings.

My two Kiesel builds have really been phenomenal. Bought a Delos and was so blown away I sold some gear to turn around and order another. JH6 will be next.
I remember hanging out with Johnny when I lived back in Nashville. Some of my roommates played in his band. He is such a wonderful human being. We’d hang at his apartment or ours and talk about guitars. I played his prototype fender Tele (which never came to be). It was so cool! My only regret is I never took any lessons from him.

I had a CT6 built in 2017, and has been my number one. Been playing more country gigs lately and a Johnny Hiland JH6 is my next purchase. Definitely.

Man!!!!! The opening lines in the first minute were absolutely gorgeous Johnny. You have such a clean technique my friend. So many players concentrate on how nice they're guitar is or amp, signal chain and so on. But if they would just spend all that time on technique it would serve them much better. Johnny makes it look so easy when he's playing. I reside in TN about 70 miles east of Nashville. I prefer R&R, but slowly getting into New Country style of music. I would like see Johnny live...perhaps he'll show up on lower Broadway (in Nashville) and be playing at a local establishment. I work at Vandy medical center. So in Nashville quite a bit. BTW the guitar sounds awesome. Probably the best sounding, Tele style guitar I've heard.

I love listening to Johnny play. Cool guitar as well. I’m NEVER messin with this cat! Check out those CLAWS!! He has a slick set up there. Just swings the chair around and the Roland kit is right there!
I’m not a country guy at all, but this is such an amazing looking guitar. I’d get it exactly how it looks in this video, but without the black diamond inlays and add a Seymour Duncan Hotrails in the bridge. Excellent work KG! You guys are always doing something new and cool.

I had a Carvin DC 150 series guitar that got stolen, and got a single coil pickup and bolt on neck from them for another guitar. All was excellent quality, even though I wasn't that excited about the sound of their pickups. Those sc pups on Johnny's JH6 sound amazing to me, and it seems like Kiesel (Carvin) is really upping it's game again.
I wish there was a way to get that 4th position strat setting on this guitar. If I could get that and a gotoh 510 trem I’d pull the trigger. These pickups sound great!

If you have a 3-pickup guitar, I very highly recommend a Free-Way switch. I put one in my G&L ASAT Classic S (alnico pickups) and it converted the 7 switching options to 10. It's quite ingenious and adds 3 serial (humbucker-ish) positions. (I don't work for Free-Way.)

If you actually played country, you'd understand the benefits of having a bender. Tell that to Brad Paisley, Brent Mason and any other of the top country players who also use G/B benders combined with finger bends to "just use your fingers." Typical response from someone who is inexperienced. I've even seen Johnny many times use one.

Johnny is a great guitarist and I like his Kiesel guitar. I do wish I could hear it a little more raw. Maybe without overdrive and so much delay. There is one video with the Electric City pickups where he does his chickin pickin pretty clean. Just wondering if Kiesel has kept close to the old recipe ?
When I see the neck of the guitar the scales are like a visual map.
